A 1-year-old girl from China is waiting to have an operation after doctors discovered she was carrying her parasitic twin.

Kang Mengru left doctors baffled after her belly became enlarged.

They carried out a CT scan to discover the cause of the growth and found a fetus inside her. They believe it is her parasitic twin.

While the condition is very rare, Dr. Manny Alvarez, managing editor of health at FOXNews.com, said it is possible that's what this child is "carrying."

"There are multiple varieties of parasitic twins," said Alvarez. "In some cases you could have some sort of merging body parts, like an extra leg or sometimes you have an abnormal formation of the head when you have two brains."

In this instance, Alvarez said from looking at a picture of the girl, you can clearly see that it’s a large abdominal mass that could potentially be an embryonic remnant of a lost twin.

"This could be a type of parasitic twin called fetus-in-fetu," he said. "What you find is that you have an encapsulated tumor-like formation inside the body, which contains fetal parts."

Mengru is now waiting for an operation to have the fetus removed.

A woman who won the national sports lottery has given all her prize money to a street beggar an hour after being given the cheque, a website said.
Rosemary Obiakor, 46, of Lagos , won more than three million naira in the National Sports Lottery, said a report culled from the website.
When asked what she planned to do with the money after she was presented with her cheque in a ceremony on local TV, Mrs Obiakor said she'd give it to a "lucky beggar".
"I have heard a lot of stories about how people win the lottery, and they get broke in the short run and come across a lot of misfortune. I am scared, and so I'll give it to a lucky beggar on the street," she told TV reporters.
She collected her cheque, cashed the money and gave the money to a female beggar who was sitting by the street side with her two-year old baby.
When Mrs Obiakor and a team of lottery executives handed the beggar a bag full of banknotes, she screamed with delight, and hugged them all.
She thanked her benefactor profusely and promised to start a food retail business immediately.
Before she went away with her money, the new 'millionaire' gave handfuls of money to other beggars on the street.

A doctor friend of mine who is serving(nysc) in Niger state had this experience to share. One particular day, a woman in labour was brought into the hospital he serves. On his observation, he noticed the baby's head was sticking out of the woman's orifice and immediately she was admitted and rolled into the theatre. In the theatre, he inserted his hand in her orifice and could not help but notice an awkward situation, the baby had TWO heads. All this while his boss was behind him and left all the work for him since it was just a mild childbirth. He brought the attention of his boss to this peculiar situation but did not share his opinion with him. On further observation from his boss, he observed what my friend did earlier. Unfortunately the baby was already dead but the woman was in serious pains and they could not bring out the baby because one head was outside the orifice and the second one was inside. The doctors had no option but to saw off the heads of the baby to save the woman life. Just before the baby's corpse was buried, the husband was notified to come and see his baby. As soon as he saw the baby with two heads, he cried out that the baby should be killed and the baby should not live. he actually taught the baby was still alive because they put the heads together with the body.

I believe if the baby was still alive, he or it should be allowed into the society.

Nigerian bus driver kills four Barca supporters

A Manchester United fan in Nigeria killed four people when he drove his minibus into a crowd of Barcelona supporters after his team lost the Champions League final, police said on Thursday.

The crowd in the town of Ogbo were celebrating Barcelona's victory after Wednesday night's match when the bus drove into them. A police spokeswoman said 10 people were injured and the driver was arrested.

"The driver had passed the crowd then made a U-turn and ran into them," she said.

Barcelona beat Manchester United 2-0 in what was hailed as a "dream final" between two of Europe's best clubs. Both teams have large fan bases in Nigeria, Africa's most populous nation.
