rvp2018: It depend on what kind of tourist they are 1) Ghanian visiting Nigeria 2) Benin coming to Nigeria 3) Nigerian diaspora visiting with foreign passport 4) Indians and Chinese coming to work illegally in Nigeria using tourist visa.
Otherwise if you're talking about tourist coming for vacation - few people are that insane to visit Nigeria. Nobody even sell Nigeria as tourist destination.
Nigeria does not even have to sell it self as a tourist destination to get more tourist or make more money from tourism. Nigeria is a big culture hub that everyone wants to experience.
The whole year of return campaign by Ghana has led to a huge gain all across West Africa.
rvp2018: At least Mini Zoo ghana is doing baby steps - I hear lots of Kenyans are in Ghana managing hotels. Improving service levels and such . Kenya is far far ahead in tourism. Kenya Utalii college is as much sought as swiss hotel schools.
managing what ?

Many Kenyans are here schooling because there nothing better there in Kenya.... The rest are prostituting
rvp2018: Kenya electricity is almost as good as Europe; very few disruptions; maybe an odd day in a month lasting an hour or two. Internet in Kenya is incredible..fiber everywhere...speed better than most places.
so sometimes do you listen to the nonsense you post here?
With 1800MW electricity consumption for almost 60 million people of which only 50% have access. And you're talking about almost good as Europe?
While Accra has provided good toilet facilities for each house in the old traditional communities of Accra who didn't have toilet, I'm yet to see Kenya do same.
I once read an article where Kenyan govt ask an American company or so to build a 50+ building in Nairobi and I instantly pardoned their bias toward skyscrapers.
Shma: Almost 15m but not 15m - I guess it's 12m, cos you exaggerate a lot of things. Kenya's middle-income population is 23m - the percentage rate is more or less 45% based on 2017 data.
gallivant: What reports? Tourists stay in hotels, maybe in Ghana they stay in private properties. Ghanaians have no clue what entails tourism or any industry for that matter. Unless it's begging the IMF for handouts!
[/s] seek education so you can comprehend
For your information, Ghana earns more than double what your country earns from tourism.
Shma: Living better should reflect in QOL and life expectancy. Accra as a yardstick with a rate of 22% quality of living standards vs Nairobi @ 86% should be enough evidence to bring your puny brain back on track.
Also, Ghana has a life expectancy lower than Kenya. If you live better, you should stay longer.
I think we both know that Ghana's quality of life is far above that of Kenya in various reports spanning 30 years.
So what's this joke about again?
The middle class in Ghana is almost 15 million which is 3 times of Kenya's. That explains why properties in Kenya largely remain empty and largely dependent on tourist short stay.
rvp2018: You're obtuse as always. 10 yrs ago I believe in top 100 banks in Africa by asset - kenya had one or zero bank in there - Poor Ghana is right there. Nigeria had all the 18 banks after their forced mergers in Obasanjo regime. Now as we speak - Kenya has more than 10 banks in Africa top 100. And Equity has climbed to no 22 - it's only behind 4 Nigeria banks. It should overtake 2 banks in 2yrs And in less than 5yrs it would have overtaken Zenith and First Bank. 10yrs ago - Equity bank total assets were 2B dollars - now it's grown to 12B dollars!! - 6 times in 10yrs. KCB, CO-OP, NCBA, DTB, name them climbing each year. Watch the trend. So you'll find 5 kenyan banks ahead of all Nigeria banks
Yet Ghanaians are living better life than Kenyans..
