You truly must have finished praying for peace in Nigeria... The sad truth is that we are in same dilemma. Unfortunately, our enemy is within. (BokoH). We need peace, too. |

Lagbaja shouldn't drag himself into 'politics'. He could have just honourably decline the invitation without making some odious statements. |
I never knew I could love a dog so much the way I loved 'bright'. He was an epitome of his name. So friendly, yet a terror on the street. I remember coming back from school one early sunday morning. And, I had to immediately join my family to church in the car. Bright, just wouldn't let go...he pursue the car almost till 'eternity'...until we had to park half way to church and I came down to say hi..then, cajoled Bright back home.. It's been some years now, but I still go tears in my eyes when I remember the day he died. He was knocked down by a vehicle..and, while he laid by the road side, dying...this poor thing wouldn't stop wagging its tail for me when I arrived the scene. I CRIED! Yes, openly....right there on the street. I miss him so much. Now, my son is here, looking at me...crying...while I type this message...he must be wandering...why is momma, crying.. #Since Bright's demise. I find it SO difficult to 'fall in love' with a dog again. Never! #Memories. |

jayseehe: Life is like Nairaland. People will like your problems and comment, but no one will solve them because everyone is busy updating theirs. And, why is life so full of problems that everyone got one to update?? #JustCurious |

Itoroetti: u are very correct. To highlight a text, all you have to do is to add [ b ] before the text and [ /b ] after the text. PS: without the spaces |
ochejoseph: His party however was not too impressed with his move. It has been making statements condemning the Ekiti election and now Fayemi, in an interview – the first since his loss – which he granted to Dapo Thomas, a journalist and university teacher who also writes for Sunday Sun, Fayemi said that he never conceded the election to Fayose and asked doubters to read the transcript of his post-election broadcast again.Poor him. I guess he couldn't withstand the heat from his political party anymore. Accepting defeat is not a sign of weakness, but strenght. That highlighted part is a national insult. Undoubtedly, there must be very insignificantly few people who understand English so well.. |
Come to think of it, it's a common act back home. And, it is nothing new to some dealers especially those selling car parts, electronics etc. Just don't make the mistake of following your mechanic to Ladipo or Alaba or wherever to buying some spare car parts! It's rather you visit yourself or forget having an accompanist...because the moment you arrive the market, with the person, series of 'sign language' mode of communication transpires between the seller and this fellow, which would be unknown to you! The essence of the language is to inquire from the fellow who brought you how much percentage should be added to the original price. Eventually after transaction, this added percentage would be given to your accompanist. Sometimes, the accompanist might need to make a revisit to get his 'commission', percentage. The percentage is the accompanist's reward for bringing a customer to the dealer/seller. It's not uncommon to those guys in business. Sadly, this happens often. Once bitten, twice shy. I wish SAMPA-ISM could be scrapped. It's dishonesty in the part of the seller and accompanists. We don't have to reduce ourselves to this...#SayNo2Sampa-ism. |
Hoping all the 'Kingleys' read this and make necessary u-turn. Sampa-ism is no true business. ![]() |
Why? When a man re-marries after the death of his wife, people justify it by saying, 'Ko le gbe a ra duro ni'. (He can't withstand temptation that comes with loneliness) But, when a woman does, she is accused of killing her husband to bring in another.. I don't blame feminists. They have good points, though. Obirin na o le gbe a ra duro. #Q.E.D. |
nawaooo: Science no be God!No mind the author. These could have been termed 'observations' and not FACTS. For, God has the final say... You can't know more than the Manufacturer- the Creator. |
Who knows, PDP-ruling states might just come up with a 9-month maternity leave and 20days for fathers. Hehehe. I am loving all of these political strategies, already. Increasing monthly allowance would have been lovelier, Mr. Governor. |
Thank You Lord, despite it all. |
Good One. #thanks4Sharing. Are these your works? If yes, that book shelve is lovely. Simply lovely! |
Image123: @OP, am i the only one surprised or pissed that the fellow managing that pastor Kumuyi Facebook account has the time to be denying useless news and gossip?Lol. But really, you don't have to blame whoever manages that account, Image123. He needed to set the record straight. And, don't be surprised that some things that are 'useless' to you, might be so relevant to someone else. |
bishopoliver: Call me old-school if you like, but using hard cover Bible is more fulfilling than the mobile ones..It is what you have within that matters most. Not what you carry.. The Bible says they overcame him (the devil), by the words of their mouth.. |
God bless'em. #VeryImpressive. |
Halleluyah. Praise God |
Shauron1: FP pleaseIt's not true. You go to the weblink and you'd realize that the news is so false. Don't be deceived. ![]() |
I don't have an open letter for Mikel Obi. However, I have an open suggestion. Dear Mikel, undoubtedly, you are a great footballer. I love your spirit. I could remember vividly your transfer deal from Oslo, Norway. How Man Utd and Chelsea were trying to get a grip of you. Maybe, If you were not good enough, none of these clubs would have shown interest in you. You were our 'new' Okocha, another vibrant player in the making whom we passionately look forward to watching on the play field. 2005 has come and gone and, it's been some 9years!...however, instead of progressing, it seems it's been the other way round for you, as we see you 'struggling' on the field, playing 'amiss' like someone whose STAR has been blurred. I wouldn't know if this has to do with your 'sour' transfer deal. Really, no thanks to your poor manager then, who didn't help you start your professional career on a GOOD, CLEAN note. No thanks. My suggestion is that, you retrace your path and go for some spiritual re-branding, that is, if you understand what I mean :p. Ma je ki won pa star mo e lara ju.. |

I am.... Just Curious. |
You are right. Those were days when 'biros' got TAGS!!lol...days when 'biros' were 'biros'. My favorite then was BIC biro. And, poor me, no matter the tag it got, it still goes missing again and again. PS: tagging, an act of inscribing your name on tiny piece of paper, then you place this into your biro casing. Hehehehe #studentsLIfE. ![]() |

Elliotwiz1: then the intelligent ones are too few to be felt.yeah, they are unsung (s)heroes. Let's encourage them some more. #DiligencePays. |
Elliotwiz1: the problem with nigerians is that they depend on malpractise to pass exams and it's so FO OLISH to me. imagine a jamb candidate shade answers sent to him from an unknown source. what if that person guesed those answers. i really don't understand how these people think. smhNo, it's a problem with SOME Nigerians. Not all. Pls, don't generalize, thereby making us look so incompetent people. There are credible, intelligent ones out there, too. |
#Memories.
