Appreciate the person by sending a 'thank you' card with probably a gift item. But, most importantly, PAY it FORWARD. By linking others up, too. Reminds me of the song: enikeni ti iwo ba niipa, lati she iranlowo fun o. Ohun nan le nikeji re, toju re. ![]() |

victorv12: The same politicians that destroyed the public institutions are the one sending their children there. They don't want the children of the poor have access to good education. They segregate the poor kids from the rich ones by creating a useless competition among them. All the private institutions in Nigeria should be subjected to accepting a miniature fee from parents. Education should be free and payed for at one point, and the level taught should be on thesame level among the children of the same peer group without them being segregated by either going to a public or private institution.Thumbs Up. Nice post. If only these so called 'rich' people and political appointees whom we entrust our national resources/wealth with, could help reform our educational system, such that the standard and level of education obtainable in private schools are the same with what the kids get in public schools as it is done in FINLAND, then we wouldn't bother how they spend their money...nor clamor at the 'outrageous' annual school fees of their children. Jealous? Not at all.. All we ask for is that 'they' help reform our educational system. Give everyone access to quality education regardless of the circumstance. For the national development of any country is directly proportional to how much they invest in their education. In Nigeria, the confab is still debating on allocating 26% of the budget to education. So laughable...especially, when you weigh this with the importance and benefit of investing in education. In western countries, people send their kids to private schools NOT for lack of quality education in public schools, but for other reasons such as security, class, segregation (white only) Black only etc. So please let's stop the comparism. #BringBackOurEducation.. :p |

ironheart: ladies its difficult to be fat and keep a husband. If you try, you only suffer in silence. EAT RESPONSIBLY. Every man has fantasy .I am surprised you wrote that bolded part after sounding as if it is a disease to be BIG, Bold and Beautiful. Certainly, every man has a choice, fantasy... For one man's sumptuous meal is another man's poisonous deal. :p . |

Demain_man: The same way he researched watching TV and proclaimed it a sin? Who made him a researcher anyways? KUMUYI is a clown. Tell him to put his home in order first i beg?A 72 year-old preacher of the gospel is a clown!? Wow! What an upbringing..! Even if he is not old enough to be your grandfather...atleast he deserves some respect. |
Kamsy10: what is this one saying?Kamsy, what exactly do you mean by hero-worship? Is it wrong to have a contrary view? And, why have you been so excited over this Deeper Life issue? Does it profit you anything? Or, does it make you a better Christian? Or does it guarantee that your name would be written in the Book of Life? I am really perturbed by your display of excitement. You must be having real FUN, and not minding what would Christ Jesus do in your stead.. Pastor Kumuyi's message was for his church members.. I seriously still don't understand your gross. #backoffplease. |
It is a shame that a huge lot of 'us' on nairaland, don't know how to bridle our tongue, anymore. We allow the devil to speak through 'us' at will..causing more grief to the body of Christ. We backbite, gossip, pull down, castigate...and then go to church every sunday to ask for forgiveness? Where is the Christlike love in us? Where is the brotherly love and expression? We're always SO quick to hear, QUICK to speak... For how long are we going to remain as baby christians...and, not cultivating the habit of knowing the Mind of the Lord, through His Holy Spirit that is expressly given to us? How long shall we be spiteful with our pull-down them down attitude.. Undoubtedly, some people would miss the rapture and second coming of christ..because of their undoing on the internet... words are powerful, people! Leave Pastor Kumuyi alone. Who knows, he must have said what he said based on personal convictions and leading of the Spirit. And, Who knows maybe it was after attending the Christmas Carol in Akwa State that God revealed this to him..because this was the first time ever he would explicitly talk about it in his preaching. And, I think the best we could do, is to ask questions...or seek God's face for clarity. It's not too much of a task to pray and know God's mind... Let's not be more interested in observing HOLIDAYS than obeying His Commandments. Our obedience to Christ's command is better than sacrifice.. "Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches: But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the Lord which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the Lord".
