- Sule Lamido said the APC won power using lies

- The former governor said the APC was full of corrupt people

- He accused President Buhari of shielding APC members from probe

Sule Lamido who served as governor of Jigawa state has accused President Muhammadu Buhari of shielding members of the ruling All progressives Congress (APC).

In an interview with Daily Trust, the former governor accused the APC of campaigning on pure lies in order to win voted from the people.

He said: “If there’s anybody who reaped most from PDP’s evil, it is the APC and they know what they campaigned on were pure lies. They know it.

“Their government is a creation of evil and shame, because it was fertilized by the PDP. The APC government is our daughter because the PDP made them. Minus the PDP, there would be no APC.”

Lamido said the fight against corruption should not be selective.

He said: “If you are with the APC, Buhari will clean you and that’s why all people from the PDP who went to the APC are very clean now,” he said.
“When they say we’re thieves, it is the smaller thieves that remained in the PDP, the bigger thieves are in the APC.

“If they cannot lead, they should quit and we take over.”

Meanwhile, a former minister of education, Ibrahim Shekarau, declared his ambition to contest in the 2019 presidential election.

Shekarau on Wednesday, October 25, informed members and all relevant stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of his plans to run for presidency come 2019.

Confirming this new development, the spokesperson to the former minister, Sule Ya'u, said his principal had already sent out letter of notification to the party.

Jobs/Vacancies / Dambazau Lied Against Me, I Didn’t Reinstate Maina - Head Of Service Cries Out by Justicealh3(m): 8:23pm On Oct 23, 2017
- The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Winifred Oyo-Ita, has replied minister of interior, Abdulrahman Dambazau over Maina’s reinstatement

- Dambazau said that Maina was deployed to the interior ministry in an acting capacity following the retirement of the director in charge of the human resources department

- Oyo-Ita, however, said that that the reinstatement and posting of Alhaji Abdulrasheed Abdullahi Maina never emanated from the HoS.

The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Winifred Oyo-Ita, on Monday, October 23 said there was no truth in the reports that she approved the reinstatement of a former Chairman of the Presidential Task Force on Pension Reforms, Abdulrasheed Maina, and his subsequent posting to the Ministry of Interior.

Punch reports that in a statement by her assistant director, media relations, Mohammed Manga, the HoS insisted that Maina’s reinstatement and posting did not emanate from her office.

NAIJ.com gathered that the three-paragraph statement read, “The attention of the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation has been drawn to several media reports that the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation has approved the reinstatement into the Federal Civil Service of Alhaji Abdulrasheed Abdullahi Maina and his subsequent posting to the ministry of interior.

“The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation wishes to inform the public that the reinstatement and posting of Alhaji Abdulrasheed Abdullahi Maina never emanated from the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation.

“Consequently, the purported reinstatement and posting by the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation is totally erroneous and misleading.”

Oyo-Ita’s claim contradicts the position of the Minister of Interior, Lt.-Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau (retd.), who had earlier absolved himself from complicity in the matter.

Dambazau had said Maina, who was declared wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), was posted to his ministry by the Head of Service a few days ago.

The minister, in a statement signed by his press secretary, Ehisienmen Osaigbovo, in Abuja on Sunday, October 22, said Maina was deployed to the interior ministry in an acting capacity following the retirement of the director in charge of the human resources department.

The statement read, “The ex-chairman of the Presidential Task Force Team on Pension Reforms, Abdulrasheed Maina, was posted a few days ago to the Ministry of Interior by the Office of the Head of Service in an acting capacity to fill a vacancy following the retirement of the director heading the human resources department in the ministry.”

It added, “For the avoidance of doubt, issues relating to discipline, employment, re-engagement, posting, promotion and retirement of federal civil servants are the responsibility of the Federal Civil Service Commission and the office of the Head of Service of the Federation, of which no minister exercises such powers as erroneously expressed.”

The minister said that Maina was probably posted to the interior ministry because that was his last posting before he was declared wanted by the anti-graft commission for the multi-billion naira pension fund scam.
undecided undecided undecided that President Buhari ordered the immediate disengagement of Abdulrasheed Maina from service. The president’s spokesman, Femi Adesina, said that President Buhari has asked for a full report on circumstances surrounding Maina’s recall.

Politics / Buhari’s 2019 Presidential Ticket Not Sacrosanct, South West APC Declares 2017. by Justicealh3(m): 7:46am On Oct 15, 2017
A former acting chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Bisi Akande, on Thursday in Ibadan said President Muhammadu Buhari is yet to inform South-west leaders of the party that he would recontest in 2019.

Mr. Akande also said that Mr. Buhari, a member of the ruling party, will have to contest with other members interested in the slot to secure the party’s nod.

Mr. Akande spoke on Thursday at the meeting of the APC South-west leaders at the executive chambers of the Oyo State governor’s office in Ibadan.

The former governor and chairman of the meeting also spoke with journalists on national issues at the end of the deliberations.

Responding to a question on whether the party would support the president’s re-election, he said the decision ”will be taken at the appropriate time and that the president hasn’t said anything about a re-run.”

“He has not told us that he is contesting again. Anybody in our party is free to become the President of Nigeria. As soon as they indicate interest, we will set a process through which a candidate is elected. If he (Buhari) is lucky to have the ticket, we will present him as our candidate.”

He also said South-west leaders of the party are advocating for devolution of powers from the centre to the states and local governments.

“The APC leaders from the South-west, together with our members in government at the state and the national levels, met to review what we decided at the last meeting in January 2017 and to see whether the efforts of our leaders in government have been fruitful. We are happy that we have had a happy meeting. Our governors and ministers are performing satisfactorily,” Mr. Akande added.

Mr. Akande also made a demarcation between the terms, restructuring and devolution of powers.

“Restructuring is not our language, go and ask those who are advocating (for) restructuring to define it. What we want is devolution of functions from the centre to the states and the local governments. Restructuring is the language of ‘other groups of people.’ Restructuring is not in the APC constitution or manifesto,”

Speaking of the upcoming Osun and Ekiti governorship elections, Mr. Akande said the party is ready to put an end to the reign of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Ekiti State particularly.

He, however, said the meeting was “focused on governance and not electoral matters of any kind.”

“We tried to review our position and we are poised to see, as a party, what we will be able to do to have Ekiti State back. We are concerned about the services of our government to the people rather than electoral matters. The decision of this meeting is about how to advise the government to allow the states that have land to practise agriculture and improve on their education.”

In his opening address, the governor of Oyo State, Abiola Ajimobi said the meeting presented a legitimate platform for the leaders to reconnect with their political roots.

“Our meeting today presents a veritable ground for us to reconnect with our political roots and keep re-engaging ourselves as people whom nature has entrusted with the political leadership of the region at this material time. Similarly, it is to reconnect to the ideals that are germane to the progress of our people and by extension, to the growth and development of Nigeria.”

He said after more than two years of the APC in government at the national level, it was vital to reflect on what the party’s performance so far had been and what they have been able to achieve.

“It is only natural for us, particularly in the South-west region, to take time off to reflect on the journey so far and compare what we promised to deliver to our people in the country in general and the South-west region in particular, with what we have indeed been able to deliver.”

Present at the meeting apart from the Oyo state governor were Rotimi Akeredolu, governor Ondo state; Rafiu Aregbesola, Osun State governor and governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode.

How IGP Idris impregnated, married female officer against police rule - Misau
Updated: 2 days ago

- Isah Hamman Misau spoke on the floor of the National Assembly accusing IGP Idris of going against the ethics of country's police

- Misau said Idris got a female officer pregnant, married and promoted her despite her not being qualified for her new post

- The Senate has agreed to probe the Inspector-General of Police for alleged flouting the agency's rules

The war between Nigeria’s senator, Isah Hamman Misau, and the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Idris Ibrahim, took a major turn on the floor of the Senate on Wednesday.

While senators deliberated on issues relating to the law enforcement agency as well as the bribery allegation against Idris, Misau told his colleagues that the police boss had flouted the ethics of the agency.

He alleged that the IGP had an affair with a female officer of the law enforcement agency, impregnated and married her.

He further alleged that Idris went ahead to promote the female officer despite not qualified for the new rank.

The name of the female officer had not been mentioned at the time of this report while the police boss has not officially reacted.

He asked his colleagues to probe Idris if the police must be redeemed.

The senators have now launched an investigation into allegations of corruption leveled against the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Ibrahim Idris, by Senator Isah Misau.

NAIJ.com reports that there had been claims and counter-claims over Misau's status as a police officer. While the senator said he properly resigned from the force before joining politics, the agency said his resignation letter was forged.

The Police Service Commission later confirmed that Misau resigned officially.

The crisis however continued with Misau alleging that the police was collecting about N120 billion annually from corporate organisations important personalitiess for security services.

If any police officer misbehaves with you, call any of these numbers.

I don't even know if I should say countdown to the NPOWER official release of 2017 list of successful candidates or not?

The whole issue is getting every concerned person bored.

In fact, everyone is confused due to the answers the Npower Team keep providing each time this issue is been raised.

You will agree with me that overtimes, majorities of the 2017 applicants had asked the Npower team times without number when the 2017 list of successful candidates shall be released and their answers or responses has always been that the 2017 list of successful applicants shall be out probably after September, 2017 ending.

And that all the 2017 applicants who took the assessment test are advised to regularly check the Npower Official Social Media Channels for the latest update on this subject.
