I don't understand the products. Are there no daily use products and things that can go on the shelves? |
Cool idea . I am interested. |
This is what happens when Nigeria consistently step over local solutions that can solve our problems and go for foreign "GENERIC" solutions. Stealing generic solutions is good because you can use them for other purposes. We have equipments that were designed to capture Picture, Fingerprints and other data. The data (passport, fingerprint and all) is then uploaded within 30 Seconds to a central server via an encrypted network link. In the same breath, the information is encrypted into a Chip embedded in a plastic ID Card that is printed out immediately. All within 10 minutes per person (provided that the needed information has been captured in previous stages by our data entry personnel)! The failure of the National ID card made us do this. These equipment (with a battery life of 18hrs) were designed to do just this. So who wants to steal any of these without the Activation Codes that brings them to live? I wish INEC luck on finding the missing equipment! And better luck with finding the culprits. I will not rule out some of our politicians in this matter even though the regular hungry man on the street can still do the crime since the missing equipments have several GENERIC (discrete) components. |
Hey, I took a close and long look at these suggestions 4 years ago and the perfect tool is almost here. The design phase is over and the development phase is almost done. The tests go along with the design and development. I actually asked that question because I need to run a successfull chain of retail shops. So I am almost done with the solution. I hope you would like to visit my locations to see what I have managed to put in place when the time is right. I'll keep you updated. |
If you are young, dynamic and ready to put your skill set into some challenging and rewarding activities, If you are a Software Programmer/Developer with a skill set that can effectively tame ANY resistant strain of Automation Challenges. If you don't have a degree qualification, No problem, If you KNOW .NET, EXCELLENT!!!! |
It took me a While But I'm finally here, I AM BACK and , I choose to annouce it here so that, Those that need to go into hiding know what to do, Those that don't know me just keep a stright face, Those that WELCOME me back give me a hug, Not too TIGHT Please ![]() Those that think I'm NUTS, Look in the Mirror and LAUGH with the image you see there, YEAH, I LOVE YOU TOO |
Timmy, Whether U believe it or not, you are a man now. At 17-18yrs. I would have wished my parent away. My dad passed on last year and I still shed tears for him last night... Mostly because there were still soooo much we had to do together! We kindda started off late on our own Father-Son relationship and the truth is I MISS HIM DEARLY. You don't have to love your parent... Really you don't have to. But U owe yourslef something, understanding why and how things got this BAD! Otherwise, Timmy Junior will tread this path a few years from now.... My journey to discovery and gradual recovery started with the book THE POWER OF PEACE! I am not Married... I don't believe I am WHOLE ENOUGH YET!! I KNOW the immediate and remote causes of the friction in my household (My dad was polygamous - a way of life he strongly opposed in his later years) but some damage had been done. I WILL GET THERE!!! Normally, your sending this link to as a personnal message to me is NOT ACCEPTABLE but I recognise a CRY FOR HELP. DON'T DO IT... WHAT EVER CRAZY IDEAS YOU'VE HAD LATELY, IT'S NOT WORTH IT.... YOU HAVE YOUR WHOLE LIFE AHEAD OF YOU... FOCUS ON BEING CAPABLE OF INDEPENDENT EXISTENCE... Focus on what U need to do to MOVE OUT OF YOUR PARENT'S HOUSE. There's nothing to be ashamed of. I know how damaging such family hold can be to a young man's confidence. But do your best anyways.... REMEMBER THAT WHAT HAPPENS TO US DON'T COUNT... IT IS HOW WE TAKE IT OR HOW WE REACT TO THE INCIDENT THAT REALLY MATTERS.... CHEERS MAN... AND GOOD LUCK!!! |
Hilarious.... I know we are supposed to go out there and get a life.... Someone's life's made in here.... only Snazzydown don't get it... You made one man fall in love... Hmmmm.... So you're the only known antidote to his newly discovered ailment.... What do you plan to do about it.... I must confess... He seems to be in a critical state of hysteria right now.... ![]() |
Yes I've seen the Sprawling Structure called ShopRite Nigeria. Impressive I must say. My planned visit to the mall today failed 'because my companion preferred to watch NIGERIA vs. TUNISIA football match. Now, has anybody noticed any theft deterrent device(s) installed in this mall? This goes beyond the Shop-lifters activity but should include deterring the Staff members from involving in Unauthorised Removal of Cash or Goods from the premises. Related: How Do Retailers Cope With Pilfering? I've always had a dream like this one: A "SUPER-MALL". But until I visit there, I will not know if someone has been having same dream as me or if his/her dream is different. I believe the idea of having Nigerian Market Places like this is possible but it must be centrally managed by people who intend to do business and are untainted by the ever elusive Nigerian Factor. |
Well, these control measures will work just fine until some members of staff connive to "Move" some good stock out of you premises... Inventory Control, Sales Records.... I know these can be kept online on a PC/Server such that the business owner can keep an eye on his business @ the click of a button or two... Does any such solution exist in Nigeria with good support? Big businesses need good support.... |
I don't know about you but in my little experience, the most threat to a retail business (the world over) comes from within – from the Poorly paid Sales Girls and the mostly ambition ridden supervisors to the rather “smart” purchasing officer. I am an entrepreneur by nature and would have long gone into the retail business but for one thing, I do not have the time (nor the ubiquitous capacity) to stay all day at any (not to mention all) of my proposed multiple outlets. Now, this is the question. How have retailers survived over the centuries? Especially in NIGERIA! I know that more Pay/Better Conditions of Service have not solved the problem. So I need to know where to go from here. If you know something or Anything or have opinions on this issue…. |
