That said 2 observations.

For all the criticism of Per,it's apparent he's holding-piece in our centre back.Gabriel and Koscielny play like two strange bed fellows together and their partnership is as rudderless as it comes.Hopefully we get another calm personae to replace Per as he fizzles out.

Secondly,the earlier Carzola returns the better for this team.He's so integrally to our possessional game it's crazy.The closest we have to him he's recycling and keeping possession,and also transitioning and building attack from the defense is Arteta and he's a non starter right now.

Meanwhile Iwobi will develop into a great midfielder if he keeps his head.He has all the right qualities.

DM's still exists but the nature of football generally have changed. Just like in almost every role in football

Keepers are not only expected to stop sots but to pass out,
Defenders are not only expected to tackle but also know how to pass out of the back.
DM arent just expected to be tacklers but interceptors and pass well
Wingers arent expected to cross but to score bucketloads of goals as well
Strikers arent expected to sit in the box and score, but to join in linkup play

Examples of modern DM in the game now are Busquets, ALonso, Martinez, Weigl, Kimmich,

Exactly my point about DM,the evolution of the position makes it possible for any disciplined,defensively-aware,and tactically astute CM to play in the position.But then I just described most DMs these days.

I don't think any of those makes EPL the best league,maybe the most entertaining,and even that is arguable,but to each it's own.

Sanchez best position is CR7's wing, he's not effective at Robben's position. Barring injury, Robben is a beast on his day even with his selfishness.


Also, I feel you are underrating Aguero. TBH, Man Shitty don't deserve Aguero. Aguero is a worldclass striker that would have been truly appreciated if he's injury free and plays for Barca or Bayern. Even as shitty as City was, Aguero managed to singlehandedly take the battle to Barça. Take a look at his goal against Looserfool today, tell me strikers apart from the likes of Suarez that can score such. He's pacy, strong, dribbles and packs power in his boots!! I call him Mr. Dependable. He scores against ANY defence!!

Sanchez and Cr7 will play as mobile wing forwards/forwards is the way I see it.

Lewandowski's inclusion is because of his height and pace.That's Aguero plus height.
