When will they be done? Why didn't they tell us beforehand.....this is unfair and there's no one we can confirm from. I did my medicals on the 13th of September and since then they have not returned to me informing me of when the training school will commence. I sent several emails to the HR team, no response. This process is very confusing. I applied for Graduate Intern, and the last email I received for the Retail position was that I should send my updated CV and copies of my certificates which were sent to them. |
ObianujuU:Continue to send emails to them every second, they must to re-schedule the interview or did you log off after some minutes of waiting? |
I did it virtually, Rivers State I will advise you to send an email to the HR guy that invited you to TMI for feedback because almost 80% of candidates that had TMI will be sent medical letters within a week of the interview. |
Boorahp:Which state are you in when you had TMI?. I may be wrong, but it shouldn't take more than a week to get back to you if you are successful. Please note that I may be wrong here as I don't want you to lose hope. |
lammadirika:You can send the documents immediately, it might be a mistake on part of Tobi. You are getting there. It remains 2 interviews, 1 with Senior Managers and the TMI. Be prepared to sell yourself. No time wasting because they are waiting to interview other candidates. Make a research about Access Bank, and any other things you have achieved after your NYSC. Your strengths and weaknesses? What skills will you bring to the organisation? |
Yes, I did the TMI last Tuesday and received the medical letter yesterday. Was this after the TMI?
|
It took me about 10 minutes. Just try to market yourself on why you should be employed. Please don't waste time, go to the point. The want to attend to other candidates waiting online. congratulations! pls how long did your tmi take?
|
FAF12:You may need to wait for a long time if you are in Lagos. They did not even attend to me on my scheduled day. I waited from 12 pm till 6.30 pm, but no one showed up. It was rescheduled. |
odeghesolomon8:See the email I received for them
|
I received my medical test email yesterday. I will go for it tomorrow. |
Dear VO, I asked you this question about a week ago, but your response did not address mine. My F4 visa has been approved since June 8th. An e-mail was sent that appointment for interview at Lagos Embassy is being sought for me. My question is that, how many weeks will I have to wait for the interview to be scheduled? Many thanks |
Hi VO, My sibling applied for immigrant visa for me(F4) since 2002, it has just been approved. I received e-mail that they are looking for interview date for me for past 2 weeks. Just want to know how many weeks will it take before interview date can scheduled at Lagos U.S.Embassy?. Thank you |
Hormotorlah:Unfortunately, UI did not offer Insurance as a degree course. I will advice you to check for universities that offers Bsc Insurance and apply. The only course that I think is relevant with your upper credit is" Economics", but I bet it that you will not be considered. So stick with studying Insurance as your first degree in any university. Best of luck |
I am admitted to read Petroleum Engineering, and have been cleared since 5th November. |
haydex10000:Did you require any information or help? |
haydex10000:I have completed my clearance, I could have drop my contact but I'm out of the country at the moment. I hope they will sort out your clearance soon. |
Olarwalemii:For your information, UI did not have Faculty of Engineering, but Faculty of Technology with different departments. Well, I got admitted into Petroleum Engineering department. |
yinkus1115:Like 5-6k per month, will be fine. |
yinkus1115:Any one on the forum that knows any decent accommodation can please get in touch, preferably, nearer to UI. Thanks |
yinkus1115:Did you mean you have accommodation to rent out? |
obaeko:You might be right be your submission, but my good friend that I know very well had 14 points in his Cambridge A level exams, and was admitted to read Petroleum Engineering with weak grades in his O levels subjects, ( some B's and C's). What I know for sure that UI first give consideration to those with A level results. The reason is that they have no other alternative than to further their education, while those with ND or HND or first degree can continue to progress or further their studies or look for job, as they have got a degree. For those with ND, HND, and first degree, UI will first consider your GPA and the relevance to the course that you applied to read, for example, a HND gradate with degree in Statistics applying to read Computer Science, how good your result might be, you will not be considered. This means the course that you are applying for should be relevant to the degree you have. Direct entry is a grey area when gaining admission to UI, what they take into consideration is number of 100 level students that will join direct entry students in 200 level, and UI always have certain number of students that should be in 200 level, that is where ND, HND and first degree candidates miss out. |
Ukutsgp: u mean i dnt stand a chance at ui? by d way, i think it is FUPRE u are talking about cos pti dnt award degrees. If you have good grades in your ND or HND, that will not stand on your way, you will be considered |
You must have been better off, if you applied for direct entry there, you will be considered because you're their product. Check the school brochure for direct entry to confirm this. |
Through direct entry then, I think about 13 of us. Petroleum Engineering department gave consideration to candidates coming in through A levels, and I doubt if there is ND or HND Petroleum Engineering in any institutions in Nigeria, if it will be, it will be Petroleum Training Institute at Warri and it has been upgraded to degree programme, so 99.9% of candidates got admission via A levels into the department. Are you applying via A levels? if so, how many points did you have?. |
Ukutsgp: did u enter through DE? if yes how was it done? i want to add u on whatsapp. can i get level 200 materials from u? i want to read ahead. thanks. Are you applying through A level for your direct entry? I got my admission via A levels, definitely, you will considered for admission if you have 12 points and above to be on safe side. I am not on What's app at the moment, when I'm back in the country I will get in touch. |
Ukutsgp: anyone going for petroleum engineering should let me know.I am 300 level Petroleum Engineering student, how can I help you?. |
hormorlorlah: hi frendz, is there going to be departmental cut-off marks/points for 2014/2015 direct entry?Yes there is going to be departmental cut off marks, but it is very difficult to predict. Firstly, it depends on the number of candidates that choose the course, then, the grades or points that they've got. I said it earlier on this forum that if you've got good grades, there's no need to fear. |
folagal: Is anyone applyin for Law?,or am I d only Law candidates in the aouse?Wishing you best of luck, if you are applying via direct entry be sure of getting 14 or 15 points through A levels, while with first degree, have 2:1, less than that think of fall back course. |
lois25: Hey guys,I had 14 points in my cambridge a'level,is it enough for pharmacy?Yes you have a good chance of getting admission, I know for sure that MBBS is 15 points, and for pharmacy, elect, petroleum and law will peg their cut off mark at 13 or 14 points, any points less that 13, I'm afraid will read single honours courses |
@alaoabiodun, Direct entry into any courses at UI did not calculate O level results as 60% and A levels/ ND, HND or any first degree as 40%. The admission office set cut off mark for each department for example, to read medicine Law or Pharmacy, you must have 15 points or over in your A levels or 2:1 in relevant first degree. But you must have corresponding O level credit pass in relevant subjects at one sitting. For other courses, UI accept O level results in 2 sittings, with relevant 2:1 in first degree or good GP in HND or OND or good A level grades. |
