I spoke from personal experience. I chose a course in JAMB out of ignorance and I was given admission to both my first choice university and course. But by the time the admission list came out I realised that wasn't what i really wanted to do all the rest of my life, so i sat back, prepared hard and wrote JAMB again - this time for my dream course. Again I made very good grades and got in. Looking back today I can proudly say that was one of the top 3 best decisions I've ever taken in my life.
She could as well decide to take up the agric admission and still write JAMB next year, but why waste money? And ironically, its actually a waste of time - time in admission and clearance procedures, time spent in lecture rooms, listening to lectures half-heartedly, not to talk of so many other campus distractions. I personally think its so much easier to sit back home and concentrate fully on one exam than when you have all these campus distractions and activities in the picture...

My candid advice: if she doesn't like the course,then she should forget about it. Wait another year, study hard, write Jamb again, and pray she gets the one she prefers. Its better to wait for 1yr than spend the rest of her life in regret.

In a civilised gathering people attack issues, not persons. If someone makes an observation, like the OP has done, you counter him with facts, or well thought out opinions. It's not necessary to insult someone simply because you have no intelligent input.

I totally agree with you @OP. Its just the situation we find ourselves especially in Nigeria where all a girl has to offer in most cases is zero apart from her body. In other words, what else do you do when she cannot hold an intelligent conversation for up to 5 secs, cannot support emotionally, spiritually, financially, etc?
