@duchess90 and all, please help with this
Good day to all. Thanks to all that do help in answering questions here.
Please for someone that did nysc in 2009, and then went back to do his master degree in 2017 and finished in 2018, does he need to provide reason for study gap since the gap years is likely to 4 years?
Thanks |

NaughtyBrainiac: Hello Chiamaka and others that need this,
Let me make your work easier.
1. You apply to schools using:
a. Your first degree certificate ( BSc or HND) b. Transcript c. Biodata page of International Passport d. CV e. Referees f. Statement of Purpose
2. You are offered Conditional admission or Unconditional admission ( Conditional in most cases). For Conditional, you will be requested to provide some additional documents in order to get Unconditional offer. e.g Official Transcript, Scratch card to confirm your WAEC Engish Language grade online etc
3. You will make Tuition deposit payment if you are okay with the school. This can be done via form A or by paying using a domiciliary account debit card. Form A is cheaper but takes between 3 weeks and 10 weeks. For a Tuition Deposit of £4k, you can save up to N900,000 if you use form A.
4. You will go for Tuberculosis Test at IOM. There is Lagos center and Abuja Centre. The cost is N57,800 for 11 years and above. N21,320 or so for children below 11 years.
5. There's something called Poof of Fund. This is your Tuition Balance + Living expenses in the UK.
Living Cost for London: Main Applicant is £1334 × 9months Dependant is £845 × 9months
Living Cost outside London: Main Applicant is 1023 × 9months Dependant is 680 × 9months
Let's calculate POF for a student outside London with Total Tuition of £14 and Tuition Deposit of £4k. Remember that POF is Tuition Balance + Living Cost £10,000 + £9207 = £19,207
To get the naira value, you use the OANDA currency converter. Just search OANDA on Google.
Using an OANDA rate of Let's say 510 naira per pound, we have 19207 × 510 = N9,795,570. You can approximate your POF to be N11,000,000.
This means that you must maintain a minimum of 11m in your account for at least 28 days before you apply for visa.
6. After Tuition Deposit Payment is confirmed by the school, the school issues Unconditional Admission Offer after you must have provided required documents.
7. You begin CAS process by undergoing Credibility Check. This is a check conducted by the school to confirm if you are a genuine student. Some schools call it CAS questionnaire, Some call it Pre-cas interview etc
8. If you provide satisfactory responses, you will be issued a statement or document called Condition of Acceptance for Studies (CAS). This is somewhat the most important document in this journey. It is what shows that a licensed school is sponsoring you to school in the UK. [b]If your responses are not satisfactory, you will NOT be issued CAS and your admission offer will be withdrawn (you will be given more than one attempt)
9. Visa Application.
You will be scheduled for biometrics( Not visa interview) after filling the online application form and paying IHS and VISA fees. IHS is Insurance Health Surcharge for your health insurance while in the UK. IHS is £705 for one year per person Visa is £363 per person
There are 3 centres for biometrics capturing in Nigeria. Abuja TLS, Ikeja TLS and VI TLS
10. Travel to the UK after visa is issued.
This is a summary of A-Z process. Sleep don dey catch me, I wan go sleep
Thanks for this. Please do you have comprehensive details like this for Canada Study stuff? |

I would like to say thank you to @Frankrobbn1 for encouraging me to submit without a second review after my consultant had reviewed. Despite the fact that I did not use his service, he took to the time to review my first gcms notes after submission and for that I say thank you. I also thank everyone who had prayed and kept things positive on here. Also those who continual contribute by answering questions. You have been most wonderful. Thank you so much.
For all those still waiting on God for PPR, God has done it! Amen!!! Keep praying and keep monitoring. Also, it is advisable to order GCMS notes as many times as possible, the VO sometimes could make mistakes. So monitoring is key.
Please this passport submission process seems abit confusing from the VFS website. Please can someone direct me to an existing post on this or guide me. I will like to submit to Abuja Office from Lagos.
Thank you!!! Congratulations. Please I just start the process from the beginning, can you please least the whole steps for me. I'm new to this. Thanks |

patobeto: House please advise, can I still make tuition deposit despite missing school deadline. School policy says student must pay this deposit prior to the deadline date of 15-07-2022 otherwise the offer will be withdrawn. I have submitted Form A for over 6 weeks but no debit. I want to use black market rate to do the payment am not sure if the school will accept and issue my CAS. If you have domiciliary account already, buy the pounds and transfer the money through your domiciliary account today. Within 30 minutes you have paid. Otherwise, contact the school for an extension of time clearly stating why you are demanding for it. Cheers. |
