NYSC › What Gift Should I Give To My PPA? Advise Please by jwax(op): 1:54am On Sep 21, 2017 |
Good morning my fellow Corp members. please am in a fix here and seriously need your advise on which project I should embark on in my PPA. I am a batch B stream II Corp member that will be passing out next month. I want to present something to my PPA before I leave. My proprietor has been very nice to me and I feel it would be nice to present the school with something.
previous Batch A Corp member gave the school a notice board, another helped change the school banner, I want to also present something.
though I don't have much on me, so am thinking of an easy to fund project from my pocket.
please your suggestions will be highly welcomed |

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Please Give Examples Of How You Can #serviceyourfuture As N-power Volunteers. by jwax: 5:33am On Sep 06, 2017 |
MrRay7: As an N-Power volunteer I will service my future by saving 50% of my monthly stipend, I will use about 10% for charity work and the remaining 40% will be for my upkeep. Then after six months of saving 50% of my stipend i.e 15000x6 (90k) I will invest part of the money in casava farming (I have the land already), while I continue saving my stipend, then when I harvest the casava (by then I must have save up 150k God's willing) I will used the money I have at hand and buy machines for a mini garri processing factory... and boom I will package my Garri and sale in different sizes of bags. I have already done the survey, I have a goo market for this, this is a business I have been planning to do ever since I was in secondary school. By this I will be an employer of labor myself as I will employ atleast 3 people to help me at the factory. Of course I will pick up a master's degree form to further my education after another six months as I won't only be saving half of my stipend but I will also be saving proceeds from my mini garri factory. This is how I will #ServiceMyFuture if i'm short listed as an N-Power volunteer.
May God help me!
God bless #Npower God bless #Osinbanjo God bless #Buhari God bless #Nigeria

NYSC › Re: I Need Advice On What To Do With My N300k Savings From Allaweee by jwax(op): 7:01am On Aug 10, 2017 |
radiokilla: I can see some people berating the op. If you are still in doubt, I will tell you how he did it. Some of us served in rural areas, which is the best as you get to save 90%of your allowance if not all. Feeding is cheap and you can live off 6k a month if you buy your food in bulk... I have a girlfriend but that does not mean I should squander all money on her. She was in shock when I told her last month that I had over 300k in money market fund. Girls can spend money so beware.
My advice is for any serving Corp member to get a side job. That way you can earn an extra 10-15k added to your alawee. Save them. Don't buy clothes for fvck sake. You don't need them yet.
Don't loaf around during your service year. That's it bro, getting a side job |
NYSC › Re: I Need Advice On What To Do With My N300k Savings From Allaweee by jwax(op): 6:56am On Aug 10, 2017 |
FIDELITY24: so because the NYSC allawee is small, it means he was feeding off other corp members while he saves his own allawee or you did not read the part where he said he also did private lessons + the money from his PPA. The thing is most of us (youths) can't sacrifice or delay the gratification we will get from flexing for the sake of our future, we keep saying that the money is too small but the truth is if you can't save from the little money, you definitely won't be able to save from the big money. OP keep it up and dont give up, where there is determination a way can surely be found. God bless you sir. |

radiokilla: Nice one op. You have my blood running in your veins. I am a Corp member serving in Abj, and I have managed to save up #350k. My target is #500k before my service year elapses in October though.
Remember to look before you leap, don't allow indecision and scammers Rob you of your money I hail you corper wee. The struggle never ends. We will soon get there |

deepwater: Op, take a chill pill. Don't rush into anything yet, Nigeria of today is business scary and with 300k you don't have any business money yet.
Take that money to the nearest stanbic IBTC branch and buy treasury bills from the FG for 364 days tenure at primary market. I have mentioned stanbic in order to make you achieve the best rate. Interest rate are very high now.
Collect your interest upfront and experiment on anything that comes to your mind at pilot scale only.
At maturity date, your 300k alert would wake u up, you may decide to push the funds into whatever your have experimented with if the ropes have been learnt well enough.
In the interim, while you experiment at pilot scale with your interest from treasury bills, apply for jobs and consider getting a salary job, you are a fresh graduate don't be afraid of climbing the ropes with little pay. Better pay comes with better work experience which is obtained from the beginning.
Don't consider your self an entrepreneur as true entrepreneurs don't get stuck with money and no ideas. People must have poisoned your mind NOT to work on a salary scale, my brother look well, the same people couldn't secure a job after much trials.
All the best and happy investing.
N. B: there is a thread on TREASURY BILLS here on Nairaland that will educate you and give you financial buoyancy, many don't know because secrets to wealth are never revealed nor advertised but are being discussed like it doesn't matter. Thanks alot |

sotall: Assuming you saved all your allowance for the whole service year, you will have19800 * 12= 237600 . How come you now have 300K?? Shey you no dey chop Drink nko? Other expenses nko?
It means you were doing other things in addition to your nysc stipend.
My advice keep doing what you were doing that helped you saved that much. I do part time job as well, coupled with my private lessons. I save allawee and 11k pay from the part time job and feed with the private lesson |

Business › Please I Need Help On How To Invest My N300k Allawee Savings by jwax(op): 8:02pm On Aug 09, 2017 |
Nairalanders please I need your candid advise. Presently I am a Batch B corp member that will be passing out in October. Have been able to save up to N300,000 during this service period. I never touched my allawee, I didn't buy any clothes or even clubbed, I fed and lived on money I get from private lessons and the 5k Stipend my PPA give me, so that made me to save allawee and also the little I get from private lessons.
Right now I will be going into labor market and my heart is already beating fast.
The money isn't enough to even rent a shop and I don't know what to invest in, I don't want to go into network marketing cos even my 140k in Swiss Golden didn't come back to me and am so pained.
Please I need investment advise |
