No body in Nigeria not even Obi or Atiku can fix Nigeria. The political structure is wrong. The government is so huge. I was hoping that the President was going to hire Black people outside Nigeria including white people to form an economic team. We must go back to the basics. Don't just give garri without giving cassava stems.

Politics should not be a zero-sum game. He should appoint Atiku and Obi into some positions in the government. Collective govern and use of experts in diaspora (most don't need to be paid) could signal a feasible direction.

The key to fixing Nigeria is in manufacturing what we consume and this comes with providing constant electrical power by all means.

You do not have all the answers...reach out. Every body in Nigeria should be mandated to till the land and plant. Make it a criminal act if this mandate is violated.

I got the email from Lagos Consul on October 2023. Did not know about any whatsapp group until late December 2023. Within that period, I missed calendar open October 21, November 21. This year I missed Calendar open January 21 since Calendar opened for just one day for about 5minute. People rushed and only 23 people from our whatsapp group got it. So I am still waiting. Seems like slot is opening every 21 or so day of the month. Please add me to your whatsapp group.. The group that I am in has this admin +2348162331393

Please let's help each other.

Politics / Start Your Own Business: A Solution To Chronic Unemployment And Despair by jz53hn: 4:43am On Nov 21, 2023
Hello Nigerians. I am very passionate about this intellectual giant of Africa, You are a confident bunch but for some reason you do not know how to pull many out of poverty. Lack of jobs and opportunities is generational. We are a the victims of the circumstance of history but alas we have to change. We have to do something different than our great great ancestors did. They did not think of anything except warring and partying. There was no written language so nothing could have been put in writing. If no blue print. cannot produce.

I am calling on all unemployed Nigerians (from the youngest to the oldest) to start your own business no matter how small..just start and start each day working to make money for your business. It's a mindset. No body will give you a job because our rich people are obsessed with investing in China, Dubai and USA/Europe, Governments around the world do not create jobs. Hopefully his Excellency ABAT would create a one page form for starting a business and provide incentives to propel this effort. There is so much despair and hunger in the land. We must do something different.

I appreciate your making this idea your idea. Best and sincere regards to the Nigerian people that I so love.

I really appreciate all your feedbacks. I did click yes and it took me through. It's still not allowing me to setup the interview appointment. I guess it will take awhile to get their ok on the scheduling. No one knows when, Please let's keep in touch/share breakthroughs. It is quite challenging. Best and sincere regards. Tye

ADESOLASH:
Please let's keep eachother posted when dates are opend for Appointments, i see we are exactly on the same stage.

Now to answer your question, just click yes and continue, all they want to know is if your case number has the Lagos tag (LGS), click yes and move on, also they will ask if you received email from the embassy for appointments click yes and continue, as far as your case is 'READY' at the embassy don't wait for their emails they may not send it on time, once you get a date for interview they will send the the K1 visas instructions packet (email) if they didn't send it befor you booked your appointments so all is the same .. best wishes

Please could someone help me. My status says Ready. I logged in to the Travel portal and selected the immigrant option. Went through the process and the process asks for this: Does your Immigrant visa case number start with LGS2019xxxxxx, LGS2020xxxxxx or LGS2021xxx Bleep?

My case starts with LGS2023 so I say no. It tells me no appointment ready at this time.

Please what does this mean? Does it mean cases are done in yearly batches?

From receiving the first email from Lagos asking to pay fees, etc. How long is it typically to schedule an interview?

Please help.

Thank you. Tye
