“Unfortunately, the mainstream media is so anti-
Christian, they might not even pick up this story,” a
scientist explains. “But God is real. We have proof. And
everyone deserves to hear the truth.”
NASA has said in this Tuesday’s press release that their
rover presently on the surface of Mars, the ‘Curiousity
Rover,’ has found the exact proof of God’s, that’s right,
THE God’s, existence within a cavern on the Martian
planet. According to NASA’s recent press release, the
rover was operated to enter a cave near Aeolis Mons, a
mountain on the surface of the red planet. Its camera
saw inside TWO large stone slabs inscribed with some
really interesting words. … On one stone slab, said to
each be the size of an elephant, carved into its surface is
the Ten Commandments which many of us know from
Sunday School, and on the other, the Biblical verse of
John 3:16 in a number of earth languages including,
Basque, Chinese, English among others. At the bottom of
the second stone tablet the phrase “I AM REAL” is
embedded upon it. Scientists in the know are extremely
surprised.
“This is amazing,” says Syms Covington, “We went into the
cave looking for water and potentially life, and we’ve
instead found proof of God’s existence.” People
everywhere are going to be in awe once this news gets
around!

Having set a new record in Nigerian history, Mrs. Aisha Alhassan will forever be remembered as the first female governor in Nigeria. Born Jummai Ibrahim Abubakar on the 16th day of September, 1959, in Jalingo, Taraba state, Mrs. Aisha Alhassan has had always had a knack for politics. At just a little over 18 years as a prelim student in Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria, she contested for the post of the SUG Vice President against two other contestants. Winning that election made the only female executive and the only person who wasn’t an undergraduate. If that doesn’t prove how strong a woman she is, read on. Back in 1979, as a student, she met her first husband and father of her three children – two girls and a boy. Her husband, Prof. Ango Abdullahi was then Deputy Vice Chancellor of her school and regularly represented the Vice Chancellor at the meetings with the SUG executives. He later became the Vice Chancellor three months after their marriage. After her first baby in 1980, Aisha’s new status of mother and wife made her switch from her pure science background to having a diploma in Law. That didn’t stop her from doing so well as in 1986, a year after her son was born, she was called to the Nigerian Bar. Two years later, she had her last child. Thats not all, Mrs. Alhassan has also had a lot of firsts. In 1996, she rose through the ranks and became the first female Chief Magistrate in the FCT; in 1997, she was appointed the first female Attorney General of Taraba state; in 2002, the first female secretary of the FCT Judicial Service Committee; and in 2003, the first female Chief Registrar of the FCT High Court. She voluntarily retired from the FCT Judiciary as the Chief Registrar in 2009. If political interest was a genetic trait, Aisha got hers from her father. Her father, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim, was a former member of the House of Representatives in the first republic. Her brother, Senator A. A. Ibrahim Jnr., was a Senator for 8 years representing Taraba Central Zone. It could be because of their influence that she too become a member of the PDP in 2005. However, she wasn’t politically active until 2010 when she contested and won the Senatorial seat for her zone. After her marriage to Engr. M. S. Alhassan in 2007, she is now referred to as Senator Aisha Jumai Alhassan. And soon, after her swearing in, that too will change as she will then be referred to as Her Excellency, Governor Aisha Jummai Alhassan.

The YBNL Boss, Olamide, revealed that one of the most
embarrassing moments in his life was when he was
wrongly accused of stealing.
He made the revelation while speaking with Vanguard.
When he was asked about his most embarrassment
moment, the Shakiti Bobo crooner said:-
“I will pick an incident that happened in the studio a few
years back. I was in the studio when this senior act came
in to record a song and he said he was hungry. Who else
will he send to buy food if not me who was the youngest
in the studio? The money he gave me was not enough for
his meal, so I decided to add my own money. I even used
my own money to pay for transportation.
"When I got back to the studio with the food, guess what
this guy said to me “Cabasa, tell this your boy to give me
my change, if he wants money, he should tell me and I
will give him. He should not use trick to steal my money.
I almost got angry, but one look from ID Cabasa calmed
me down. Today, the guy is one of my biggest fans and
he is planning to do a song with me.”
The industrious rapper, whose street savvy punch-lines
makes him unique will be dropping his fifth album this
month. |
Dear motorists of 3RDMB,
When I see you in traffic every evening during the week I
see the frustration in your faces. I see the hurt in your
bloodshot eyes (from staring too long at brake lights). I
feel the pain in your arms (from latching unto your
steering wheels for 2 hours). It’s insane to say the least.
On 3RDMB rush hour in the morning is between 5.45
and 10am while in the evening it’s typically between 6.30
and 9.30 pm. After 7 years of being a victim of
locomotion (loco as in ‘crazy’ in Spanish) and getting high
on ‘secondhand exhaust fumes’ I believe at this point it is
my civil duty to share how you can cope with the
menace that is the traffic on 3RDMB:
Rule 1: Wise up
I hate unpleasant surprises; 3RDMB being in my top 3.
That’s why I log in to GIDITRAFFIC, TSABOIN TRAFFIC
TALK and TRAFFICBUTTER APP on Twitter for the latest
updates on all my routes out of the Mad Arena more
commonly known as the Marina. These info sources are a
Godsend if you have access to the Internet and want
online real-time news about the state of traffic on all
major Lagos routes. If you’re more of the radio listening
type you can tune in to 96.1 Traffic FM and get the
scoop there. Even if all your other alternative routes are
experiencing traffic at least you’ll know which one has
that broken down trailer blocking two-thirds of the
three-lane road!!! Don’t drive off without getting your
traffic information right or you’ll be singing ‘Bumper to
bumper’ @wandecoal
Rule 2: Snack up
If you’re driving a brand new car and your rule of thumb
is never to eat in it then think again. Motorists would
agree that by the time you’re motionless on 3RDMB at
about 9.30pm and you start nodding off to sleep on the
wheel, you’re gonna need more than your stereo to keep
you awake. But help is on the bridge. They roam the
tarmac with multiple bags of popcorn, cartons of
plantain chips and other munchies. I call these heroes
Teenage Hell-bent Ninja Hawkers. Have you seen them
run after motorists to make that sale? Usain Bolt aint got
nothing on these guys and I say that boldly because he’s
not running between the narrow spaces of moving trucks
and danfo buses. If you haven’t noticed them by now
then they’re better ninjas than I thought. The first set of
hawkers when you get close to the UniLag waterfront
section of 3RDMB sell Popcorn. A few 100 metres down
the bridge you begin to see plantain chips and the
occasional coconut chips and chin-chin. If you still
haven’t made up your mind about what snack you want
after this point then get ready for…(drumroll)…Rat
poison. I still don’t get the connection and I’ve debated
this severally with my passengers. Why have snacks,
drinks and rat poison sold in that order? Don’t ask me.
Ask the Teenage Hell-bent Ninja Hawkers. I’m yet to see a
rat invasion at the end of 3RDMB so for now I ain’t
buying.
Rule 3: Wind up
Last but not least, switch on that air conditioning and
wind up your windows. Why? Because this is Lagos where
open car windows are an invitation to robbery attacks.
Some of the hawkers I mentioned earlier are informants
and robbers in disguise. That said, keep your windows
low enough to let your snack have easy access into your
car and then wind up immediately you’ve paid the
hawker. This is no time to be a cheapskate with your fuel
consumption. ‘Ember’ months are in and the armed
robbers are out. So unless you’ve got a car with external
gadgets to apprehend or maim your attackers,
EVERYBODY’S WINDOWS GO UP!….AND THEY STAY
THERE! AND THEY STAY THERE! AND THEY STAY THERE!
NOT DOWN, NOT DOWN, NOT DOWN or all you do is
SCREAM, SCREAM, SCREAM lol.
Even as I type this article on this fine Saturday I’m already
dreading 3RDMB blues which set in round about 5pm
every week day. Well, it is what it is. Remember, Wise up,
Snack up and Wind up.
Till Monday when I see you on the bridge, this is the
Crazy Nigerian zooming off! |

[sup][/sup] I'll do this for the sake of the love i feel for aspiring University of Uyo 2015/2016 students...please disregard rumours concerning the sales of post_utme forms as the University has taken a stand delving not into the issue untill much conveniences have been attained.. Presently, the said non_academic staff of the institution are deliberately on a strike as this MAY or MAY NOT affect the resumption date for the second semester and the post_utme issue as well..
