pek: wrong! that's not the right part number!Lol..... Sure you're joking. How you doing Pek?

mbizzy: @ kablooeeSorry ma'am, you've got a mail. |
erico2k2: Im not arguing we are having a discos so like seriously U say yiu can remap a car? Cos U need to be registered here to have acces to the aoftwares or up to date programs.U are telling me you uave that acces in Nigeria?Yes my friend I can. I've got access to the various manufacturers tech website, yes access from Nigeria. I flash and reprogram VW and chrysler vehicles almost daily. |
erico2k2: Brov U dont get it do u.name one person on here who programs the ECUOne person..... Kablooee. I don't like to argue much online cos I find it childish but just tell me one ecu you can't program without part number and I'll tell you the steps to program it. Note. Part numbers will aid but it's not mandatory because there are several ways to get it without the sticker on the engine computer itself. |
erico2k2: U can never re program an ECU without the part Number.Thats my pointWrong again bro, when you connect to the ecu, you can get information like VIN, part number, flash version, read current ecu maps etc. Part number has absolutely nothing to do with programming. |
erico2k2: yes good Idea, remove the part number, makes it hard to sell. You're wrong bro. Get to ladipo and see them write ecu number with paint or just write "2004 Toyota Corolla" or remove sticker from bad ecu. Buh really who cares if it's going to be hard to sell or not? What we want is for it not to be stolen at all. |
mbizzy: Hello House , please my toyota corolla brainbox and window buttons was stolen yesterday morning. Please help with the right part no.89661-02K20 |
2GR-FE engine realizes high performance, quietness, fuel economy, and clean emission through the use of the Dual VVT-i (Dual Variable Valve Timing-intelligent) system, DIS, and ETCS-i. You can go on and on. |
Without saying much, the venza with the 2GR-FE engine. It's about Toyota most successful V6 engine. My personal opinion. |
After sagamu Junction. Ibadan express, rough road, very rough.
|
Finally out of traffic approaching sagamu Junction.
|
Still in traffic. |
Road construction about 20km to shagamu bridge, traffic traffic all the way. I got really upset cos it was longer than the usual traffic here
|
Traffic was free at Redeem..... Good to go

Approaching Lagos toll gate, irrespective of the time you get here, you see people asking for ride outside Lagos, I wonder why they don't go to the designated parks and prefer to stand here.
|
komekn: You impress me beyond words, firstly one of the few Nigerians who hasn’t accepted the rubbish put out by Nigerian mechanics as to the viability of using a diesel car in Nigeria, the 330d engine is stupendously economical and robust (real mileage cruncher)Thanks for the comments, I go for what I like irrespective of what some shoddy mechanics think about it. Got the BMW last year and words can't describe the performance and the fuel economy is also very good. Done a couple of trips with it also. About my engine bay, I clean it out when I've got free time. 30mins is more than enough.
|
Ok, got up rather late that faithful day, already had my things packed d previous night. Besides d regular engine checks, the most important thing to me when going on a long trip are my tyres, when I've new tyres they increase my confidence. I don't eat breakfast when embarking on trips. Left the house exactly 0810hrs |
Meet the puma zetec engine. The never tiring engine.
|
Am back to abuja now. Journey BTW makurdi and Abuja is very annoying because of the multiple road blocks, every 2km and sometimes less u have some annoying road blocks. Will leave for Lagos on Saturday. Network is better here. I'll start uploading pix and complete them when I return home. |
komekn: Just reading through your inspiring post and I just wouldn’t have thought that a Ford Puma would have been resilient enough to do that road trip, considering our roads. Furthermore it was discontinued in 2001, so your car is at least 13/14 years old, how long have you had it forI've got a 330D diesel engine BMW which is my new "toy" and a wrangler Sahara for off road but my love for this puma knows no bound. Tnx komekn |
aieromon: All the way from Efon-Erio-Aramoko-Ijero-Kabba....one needs to be very careful when overtaking on that road. You can say that again. |
NNPC MAKURDI

Fuelling Abj
|
Some narrow ekiti road.

Fueling
|
This was my first fueling at the oando/kfc after toll gate. |
Let me post some random pix hoping they will upload. When I get to lag I'll arrange and post all d "million" photos. |
GAZZUZZ! Thanks for the very useful information about the bad bridge, network has been really poor so I couldn't update, I arrived Abuja 1720 same day. Journey was smooth. Leaving for adoka from abuja thru makurdi shortly. |
Taking off. Info and pix to come later. |
alright with approval from seun. |
IdaraCHODB: How do you intend to document the trip? With a purpose built camera? with a smartphone based camera? Do you stop to take pictures? Or does a co-passenger do the picture taking? Or do you take the pictures while driving? Curious. My smartphone camera needs a few seconds to focus and I can't afford the luxury while driving |
Siena: You're meant to be an "expert", yet you come out with this? I suppose you feel only big 4 door sedans with. 5.7L V8 engines are the best for long distance travel. Thanks Siena. I need not say more. |
