keally: . I've patiently listened to ur argument and just discovered that ur problem is d same problem ur Buhari has "VODOO ECONOMICS" which has put Nigeria spiral and instead of admitting that they need help, they are busy blaming others for their failures. Believing that the alleged stolen billions is d cause of d current recession is d height of naivety, ignorance, illiteracy and utter stupidity. With all the billions Abacha and his family stole Nigeria NEVER went into recession. OBJ met only about 3.8billion dollars and huge debt in excess of USD 60b yet Nigeria did not go into recession, Buhari met over USD 32b and d economy is in Recession. Do you know that over 60 or 80 b USD worth of investment was withdrawn, over 400 companies shut down, over 5million jobs lost SIMPLY BECAUSE of ARCHAIC and MEDIEVAL ECONOMIC POLICIES that is fit for the stone age alone. Is it a coincidence that two times Nigeria went into recession are the two times Buhari is in charge? Mr, think and reason with brain instead of ur Anus. Was Ngozi Okonja Iweala (NOI) aware of the coming of Buhari and his "medieval economic policies" when she predicted this recession? Was Sanusi Lamido also aware of the coming of these "archaic policies" when he stated that Nigeria will soon know the meaning of recession? Are u aware that NOI (an active member of the past administration) recently made a statement that the country is in recession due to the unwillingness of the past administration to save? U have a better knowledge of the economy than NOI, SLS and Charles Soludo combined I guess. Did this recession set in during Buhari's regime or it simply continued from the previous one? Do u know in the last three months of the previous administration, the government borrowed to pay salaries? Obasanjo took over "with nothing in Foreign Reserve", pls how much was crude oil in international market then? Pls do u know how low the oil price went, in its downward trend (which had started during the previous administration)? Do u know Nigeria was also in recession during the last days of Obasanjo and the early days of Yar'adua? Do u know what mitigated the hardship? If Obasanjo left the Foreign Reserve at $60b, and GEJ took it from Yar'adua at $47b, what depleted it from 60 to 47? Is that not the consequence of the then recession? Now GEJ took over at $47b, what depleted it to $32b at a 6-yr average oil price of $100/barrel? Are u aware of the current upward trend of the Foreign Reserve despite a two-year average price below $40/barrel? Of all the countries that depend on crude oil, is Nigeria the only country in recession due to this crash in oil price? U are a better economist than the economic team of those countries I guess. Are u aware of the recent policies of Saudi Arabia (one of the largest oil exporting countries) due to this recession? Mr "educated literate", pls provide honest answers to these questions. Nigeria economy is much more than selling of inferior spare parts in Ladipo Market. Or do u think it is about shoving some co_aine up the an_s while travelling to other countries? Or is it about selling of gala on the streets of Lagos? It is also not about stocking of empty handset cases with akpu in Computer Village and be deceiving unsuspecting buyers. The strength of any economy simply depends on what it can offer and the only product Nigeria economy has is crude oil but rather than putting in place necessary palliatives to give the economy a soft landing in the event that the demand for this product falls, ur heroes with "modern economic policies" continued to milk the economy dry for their selfish interest. On recession occurring in both of Buhari's coming not being a coincidence, that is nothing but superstition and as we all know, superstition defies any reasonable logic. Moreover, I don't get myself involved in arguments bordering on fetish ideas cos I'm a complete novice in that field.

KingOfAmebo: [s]In the face of overwhelming evidence, Nigerians have reacted to a statement credited to President Muhammadu Buhari in which he defended former military ruler, Sani Abacha as he said he didn't steal any money from Nigeria. “Nigeria is awaiting receipt from Swiss Govt. of $320 million, identified as illegally taken from Nigeria under Abacha” – Buhari @NGR President, 5:09 PM – 27 APR 2016
In other words, he didn't steal it but it was illegally taken not by him but under him...I am sure Zombies like you would love Buhari's clever use of deceptive words.
WHEN Twitter-addicted Nigerians stumbled on this posting on President Muhammadu Buhari’s Twitter handle last week, the whole Internet went abuzz, with most people expressing their dismay at Buhari’s refusal to call a spade by its correct name.

THROWBACK SIGNAL | Action Congress (AC) Attacks Buhari Over Claims That Abacha Never Stole
http://www.signalng.com/throwback-signal-action-congress-attacks-buhari-claims-abacha-never-stole/
Kano — The late military Head of State, Gen. Sani Abacha, did not loot the national treasury contrary to the general impression, two military former heads of state have said.
Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, who ruled Nigeria between 1983 and 1985, and his successor, Gen. Ibrahim Babangida, gave Abacha the clean bill in Kano yesterday after the rememberance prayers marking 10 years of the death of Abacha, who ruled between 1993 and 1998.

Meanwhile, if u like, set urself ablaze, thieves must be exposed. My advice to u is, start thinking of how to return ur share cos with more revelation, it is gradually coming close to ur turn. |

KingOfAmebo: Bro, you are the illiterate here... typical of zombies, you seek evidence when it comes to defending your hero but couldn't provide one when attacking Jonathan. Everyone knows Buhari said "Abacha never stole" just as everyone knows Jonathan said "stealing is not corruption". don't trust a politician... trying to make Buhari look like a saint is the reason we all find ourselves in this great mess, thanks to Buhari...and please don't try to quote me saying it was the massive looting from the previous government that caused the recession. Was their also a massive looting prio 1985 when Nigeria witnessed her first ever recession under the same man Buhari?
I still remember during an Al-Jazeera interview immediately Buhari was sworn in as President when Buhari was asked if he really meant those words that "Abacha never stole" Buhari cleverly dodged the question and was saying something else, the interviewer dropped the question after another failed attempt from Buhari. The only problem and annoyance with u lots is that the president is committed to exposing criminals. Had it been he is silent on that, he would have been receiving praises as a hero. But certainly, everyone cannot be dancing for thieves that looted this country dry. Now, provide evidence of how Buhari said Abacha did not steal, u are foaming from both sides of the mouth that everyone is aware. Pls who are the 'everyone'? I'm talking of evidence, u lots are falling over urselves with newspaper reports and hearsays as evidence. If u can't provide evidence where Buhari is properly quoted in inverted commas to that effect, then stop jumping into my mention and get the fvck out of here.

freeze001: Huh! You do not disapprove of something good do you? How does a fowl possibly fit in for disapproval in any form? It's a damned bird! You just didn't know the right word, there are words called homophones in English language, they sound alike but aren't spelt alike. The mode of communication on this forum is by writing and not speaking so even if u were replicating his 'voice', you'd still need to write it out correctly to make sense more so since you had taken it upon yourself to school another on English grammar.
That said, it's appallingly childish of you to put up that meme because of some harmless correction. Don't get ur back up all the time, it's a free world so relax. Approval/disapproval is not based on ones perception of what is right or wrong, it is simply based on how U want it. E.g smokers know that smoking is wrong but they choose to smoke and any attempt to stop them from smoking will not be approved by them. The president may either approve the disbursement of funds for a good purpose or decides not to approve because he wants to embezzle and he knows that embezzlement is wrong. (Not based on right or wrong) On the use of 'fowl' as opposed to ur 'foul', I won't accept anything in the name of appropriate or inappropriate spelling since the tv programme itself does not emphasise on how to or how not to speak English. Infact, it can be argued that Zebrudaya was even interested in how not to speak English. I may decide to spell it as 'fawl'. If 'foul' is what he was mentioning, how do u reconcile the 'fa! fa!! fa!!!' With 'foul'? What was important to me in the context in which I had used it is the sound, not the word. On the "appallingly childish" use of my choice meme, I have this for u; If a stranger abuses ur hospitality, may he develop hunchback as he goes back home - Pete Edochie-I don't give a damn if it is harmless or not, all I know is that u bumped into my mention uninvitingly for something very insignificant while someone is there turning English grammar upside-down, and that is okay by u. So, u can now get the fvck off my mention.

jiinxed: Is this good English? Ozuo. Relax bro, on social media, this is the trend but same cannot be said of "been" and "being" and I assure u, it is people having challenges with English that point these things out as errors cos I damn know that while u, ur etc are not used in formal writings, 'been' and 'being' are used very well in both formal and informal writings and they are either used correctly or incorrectly. No form of writing permits the use of wrong grammar. Meanwhile, I wouldn't change depart from a trend (which is okay by me) just to impress illiterates. |
