I thought I was discussing with an intelligent being not knowing I was just wasting my time with someone with the iq level of a cock. Nollywood movies are mostly fictions eghu. They don't always depict the reality
But ur fellow flat head agrees with me and he has been trying to justify it, so why are u denying it? Scroll up, u will see. But do u know what? Insult is the only option available to a man who has no point, so I understand ur problem.

You are always talking about prostitution. Out of the abundance of the heart, the mind speaketh. Maybe you are a product of one tongue What you people practice is even worse than prostitution. Or what do you call a situation where if a wife leaves her husband, she must marry another man and get a divorce before going back to her former. And the cycle continues in that manner. Even your religion states that a woman is half of a woman and that the evidence of a 10years old boy carries more weight than that of a woman. Who then is a slave here?

How many women from your region are sent out of their matrimonial homes brutalized on daily basis? Your region is the only place you see a 15 years old girl in her second marriage. Go and see doctors trying to patch their leaking and oozing punas on daily basis. I'd not live like that, not even my enemy
Go for a brain check please
Hehehe, I will always talk about prostitution cos their sight alone is very disgusting especially the variety practised by the flat headed akpu-eating ones grin.
For the weakness of their hearts, the opinions of ladies are not given much consideration but that doesn't make them outcasts cos they are bona-fide members of the household. But the real slaves are the ones who are not even allowed to own anything from their own biological parents because they are "osu", lol grin. At the death of their husbands, their hairs are shaved to the scalps as per slaves and they will be wearing black clothes, wash the corpse, drink the water, sleep in the same room with the corpse and they still have no share in the property of the dead man because they are nothing but slaves, hahahahahahahahaha. For more information, scroll up and take a look at the post by ur fellow flat head, Misshakara. As for VVF, the authority concerned has given us a figure, and Ebonyi state is the gold medalist. Oozing punas, hehehehe, just imagine who is talking about this. Is it those tissue papers u use that still leave particles of poo in ur anus that stops it from stinking?
MissShakara:
Now am not into tribal bashing which is by the way actually killing Nairaland. I have few things to say; As an Igbo woman and someone very familiar with the Law, this decision by the supreme court is a welcome development!
Many women and children have been dispossessed of their husband's properties because they have female children only. Now am not talking about ancestral land (ana umunna), but properties in the city, lands, houses and even cars, by greedy brothers who feel it is their right to inherit their brothers properties since he left no male heir. Now these helpless women who are led on to believe that it is our 'culture' are left struggling to live their lives in penury with their daughters! This is where this law comes to aid. Now tell me OILSOUP, will you love to see your wife and female children suffer if you have no male child? Who do you think will protect them from your greedy brothers when you die intestate? It is this Law! So I applaud the decision of the Supreme Court in this regard.

Shut up your filthy mouth. Have you ever heard of Folorunsho Alakija? All the other wealthy women in Nigeria are southerners. No one wants to have anything to do with dirty northern girls who don't even wash properly.
Hahahahahahahahaha, and what gives u the impression that our ladies are desperately in search of wealth like u. Note, we don't worship money and that is why u will never see our women sleeping with dogs because of money. For the dirt, u need to advise ur sisters to be washing those artificial hairs at least ones in a weak cos keeping those things for several months makes them stink more than poo. Also, advise them to always wash their anus after poo cos wiping with tissue will still leave particles in the anus which always make them to smell too bad. Excessive make-up to cover ugliness also make them look like marine spirits.

But the same flat headed akpu eating people have told you several times that they don't like to in the same Country with you to the extent of picking up arms before and now through agitations yet you refused to let the akpu eater you hate so much to go. Are you not ashamed of yourself? The akpu eater is the den of all atrocities yet you still want by all means to remain in the same Country with them? Your ancestors must be ashamed and disappointed in you. Your heroic founding fathers must be ashamed at you for being so shameless that you can't survive without akpu people. What a shame? Igbos are truly blessed, the mystery of hating someone so much yet still wants to be in the same Country with the person is what I've found difficult to understand. Truly without igbos Nigeria will be a skeleton. I throw the challenge to you that without igbos in NIGERIA, in a year Nigeria will be surviving by UNAIDS
Hahahahahahahahaha, what gives u the impression that we want to stay with the flat heads? Fyi,we are the last that will ever want that. The leadership of the flat heads are the ones keeping them in Nigeria. All those motor park touts carrying arms don't constitute anything in decision-making. U have governors, lawmakers and many other represention of the flat headed akpu-consumers, channel ur problems through them and it won't take long b4 u see circulars ordering flat heads to start relocating from wherever they are (NE, NW, NC, SW, and SS) to the SE.

My dear please I thought in Fed Poly Damaturu and I know what I am saying. In response to your assertion:

'I'll treatment of women in the north exists but in ur imagination' : Is child-bride consider ill treatment or not and from data available everywhere, child-bride is a common practice in the north.

Few weeks ago, a 25yr old girl was made a LG chairman in Kebbi state and ur folks were also on this forum spewing their usual trash
: That is a wonderful development. I can proudly tell you no one in the South is going to 'make' her LG chairman, if she wants it she has to fight for it and earn it like everyone else. Mind you there are a lot of women in politics in the South.

the type of freedom u are talking about is not even desired by our ladies: That is a warp conclusion, how would you know what they desire when they are not all to desire anything other than what the men tell them to desire. Because having a desire and expressing your desire in the North might lead to beheading, with such mind set how can the females freely desire anything on their own without running the risk of loosing a limb or a head?

Freedom to insult ur husband and parents, . It is only an insecure husband that would view a disagreement with his wife as an insult. If a husband becomes useful, I think he deserves some insult if that is what will straighten him up. On a more serious note, the issue of insult is as a direct result of freedom of expression, if the price that men from the South has to be for giving their daughters and wives equal right is insult, then we are willing to accept such 'insult' with good fate as long as our girls and women turns out to be resources, strong and courageous. If that is what it takes to cure them of timidity then I stand for that.

freedom to go to wherever u want, with or without ur husband consent, : That you are married to a lady does not make her your property. So based on our you see the world in a marriage is only the man that has the right to tell the wife where and when to go, who then dictates to the man where and when to go (what is good for a pregnant woman is also got for the man that got her pregnant)

freedom to go unclad and be clubbing, name them.: If I may ask you what is wrong with clubbing as long as it does not get in the way of you performing your duties as a husband or wife. Meanwhile most responsible married couples go the club together in company of their friends to hang out. For your information is not everyone that goes to club goes there to get drunk, get hire and go home with a random fellow. Most of your Northern politicians and business mogul spend do spend considerable amount of time clubbing( without their wives because they have a different agenda. Mind you they sell non alcoholic drinks in club if that is part of your concern)

Finally, I will tell u that a northerner treats his female children with more dignity than the males Eg, how many female Streets urchins have u seen on the streets of Kano?: Would you mind giving me the statistics of child-bride in the North compare to any other region in the country. Can also give me figures on female school enrollment in the North in comparison to other region? I am sure those figures will contradict your assertion of treating female child with dignity. Is forcing a child into marriage against her will part of treating her with dignity? Of course I not not surprise that there is no female alamajiri in the streets because they are all married as soon as they were born. How would then be out on the street when they have to satisfy the sexual orgies of old men, who derive joy in child molestation?
Hehehe, mr lecturer, we are made to respect our parents and the wives are to respect their husbands as well. Our ladies are free with us and they don't hesitate to let us know what they want. Any desire they won't let us know is certainly immoral. The idea of a woman getting her husband's consent if she has any reason to go out is purely the dictates of our religion but since ur religion doesn't make it a rule, u can go ahead with that, non of our biz. Clubbing, hahahahahahahahaha. Meanwhile, the ladies have every right to protest any ill treatment. Girl child education, going by ur claim, the female students in that poly are all igbos I guess, hahahahahahahahaha. All those ur theories of equality are what constitute the rather unpleasant and disgusting criminality that has become the order of the day in ur region because everyone is struggling for supremacy. It is a kind of Africans trying to imitate the American and in the end, they are neither of both continents which make them stupid imitators of the Europeans. We are Africans and we are proud of it. That is why we are not interested in "developing" anything the way the flat heads have been doing.

You are actually suffering from acute diarrhoea of the gut and mouth. I may not have inheritance from my father's house because it is my culture but I am not under bondage to be married off at will and divorced at will and passed on to yet another man. My husband's property is enough for me and my kids.
Hehehe, see who is talking about husband grin.
Anyway, which culture are u even talking about? Is it the culture in which female offsprings are practically slaves? Is it not the culture the females are sold in the name of marriage? Which right has a woman both in her husband and father's house? Is it not the same culture a widow is made to wash the corpse of her dead husband and drink the water just to prove her innocence about her husband's death? As if that is not enough, the widow is made to sleep in the same room with the corpse for three days. As all these are being done, the husband relations are already taking possession of the property of the bereaved leaving both the orphans and the widow with nothing. After some days of wearing black cloths, she is ordered to go back to her father's house where she might be given a farmland to be cultivating cassava for akpu. This is why u see most of the widows on Lagos Streets selling all these locally brewed alcoholic drinks called paraga. Some of them who are still young take to prostitution and be explaining their plight to whoever cares. Female flat heads are nothing but slaves in their home towns and for them to be recognised, they must be rich. That is why they do anything to get money. Go and free urselves of that rejection first. grin grin grin

Oppression is oppression but in trying to understand issues and how it affects a particular group of people in relation to others, Ii will start by looking at oppression in terms of severity.

My dear, I doubt if you really understand the level of oppression that women faced everyday up North, I guess you probably have spent all your live in the North (at least where your ego is massage as a man), if you have really lived in the South, you would understand that the issue of equal right when it comes to inheritance was something that has its root on the progress that have been made in terms of gender equality in the South. Female are allowed to make their choice and chart their own path in life. In most families female as well as male child have equal opportunity to pursue any field of endeavor they so desire.

Females are treated as human who have both the capability and talent to achieve as much or even more than male, rather than being seen as subhuman.

If and when the North solves the few endemic problems of gender inequality that exposes female child into becoming child-bride then we can talk about the problem of inheritance (I and most Nigerians will he happy if the North as a whole start having serious discussions about some of the cruel life that women and female child face up North).
Can there be any form of oppression that is comparable with being treated as an outcast? For ur information, the I'll treatment of women in the north exists but in ur imagination. Few weeks ago, a 25yr old girl was made a LG chairman in Kebbi state and ur folks were also on this forum spewing their usual trash. Pls, is this possible in any southern state? I will tell u that the type of freedom u are talking about is not even desired by our ladies. Freedom to insult ur husband and parents, freedom to go to wherever u want, with or without ur husband consent, freedom to go unclad and be clubbing, name them. Let me tell u, even the well to do educated parents spend more on their female children than on the males, go and find out. In ur own place, female are not even regarded, are we not watching nollywood, which actually showcases ur cultures, traditions and values?

If you practice what you preach, it would be a different ball game, but you don't practice it and want to subject someone to what you can't practice. Please go your way and form your goddamn Country with your fellow hypocrites
We are certainly not the same and that is why u see very few of us in ur region as compared to how u and ur fellow flat headed akpu-eating brothers are in every nooks and crannies of Kano state. That few among us don't comply to the preaching is quite different from ur region that is practically the den of all atrocities known to mankind.

Is that life or imprisonment. I feel for them
Why not just face ur own liberal lifestyle and leave we Ab0kis with our bonded life? That is our ways, so be more focused on ur "civilised" ways. Countless cases of married women being slaughtered in hotels, cases of child rape, and infact, social vices too numerous to mention are ur trademarks but we don't take these discussions as part of our problems because we also have our problems to face. Hypocrisy is the order of the day up North.

Same North where a man and a woman will engage in fornication and the woman will be punished while the man walks free.

Everyone up there is calling for the female actor head, while the guy walks free.

I think most men up North are insecure and would stop at nothing and see their women as underdogs that should be subdued at all cost. I am sure the day they allow their women equal right as men ( or at least the choice too make their own decision and be their own person), I can bet that most men there will die alone and wretched
Really? Hypocrisy is when u are overwhelmed by ur own myriads of problems but u are more interested in solving the perceived one borne by ur neighbour. Disallowing the female offsprings from inheriting their parents' property is part of the much trumpeted gender equality I guess. grin
