adconline:What are states like Bayelsa, Delta, Rivers etc bringing to the table? As I have said, don't mention oil cos it wasn't planted by their ancestors. It is a natural reources belonging to Nigeria. How will u lay claim to what u don't even know how it came about? And the only reason u have is that u find urself there. How has finding urself in an environment make u the owner of the resources therein? |
Goke7:Indeed 13% derivation is just enough to address all the so called environmental pollution as well as some benefits to the host communities. All these NDDC, Min of ND, Amnesty programme are just fraud. |
DabuIIIT:And who is enjoying 13% derivation fund? What is the founding mandate of NDDC? For whom was the Min of ND? Who are the beneficiaries of the Amnesty programme? To whom are royalties being paid? No single state from the non oil producing states enjoys any of these benefits and what else do u want? This 'awa oyel' issue is being taken too far and I have a feeling that at the end of the day, some of these benefits will be withdrawn cos the 13% derivition fund is intended to address the so called enviromental pollution. |
DabuIIIT:Funny how some of u keep talking about what the north offers. What does the ss offer? Don't mention oil cos it wasn't planted by them. How will u wake and see urself in a region and the next thing is to start laying claims to what u see in ur environment? |
bejeria101:The oil wells in the nd is owned by Nigeria, cos it was not planted by anyone. |
Ellidude:If one third of what was made available to the nd within the period is available to the north, u will see the remarkable change. Northern leaders are corrupt but not when compared to their southern counterpart. Even with the relative meagre allocation, the north isn't really plagued with low infrastructure. El Rufai once said that the money spent in the development of FCT is just 1% of the national income. Just imagine if the southerners were saddled with the admin responsibility of developing the FCT just the way NDDC and Min of ND is in their hand and they are still talking about low infrastructure. |
Nothing has really changed, just dat the crocodile is smilin |
Gone are the days when news like this used to be called 'breaking news', but it has become a normal thing for pastors to be involved in illicit sexual activities. Using Fela's tone 'na old newsi be dat, the problem still dey kpakparakpa'. ![]() |
Is this y the nda say dem no do again? |
LMAO ![]() |
I can't fit laff ![]() |
Freedom of expression does not include defamation of character or spreading of falsehood, otherwise, the word 'libel' wouldn't have had any meaning. They are even talking about inviting a journalist whose relationship with BH is in doubt in this serious security challenges facing the country. Just few days ago, The Sun newspapers carried a piece of news without any source that the presidency is planing to probe some past CBN governors only to be discovered that this is false. People shouldn't get it twisted to look as if freedom of speech is about publicly raising false alarm, insulting people and all that. If u make a public statement and it turns out to be false, don't start making any noise when the appropriate authority come knocking especially, if such information is capable or assumed to be capable of further compounding the already complex security situation of the country. |
chimauga:Come to think of it, ppl that make efforts to meet their religious obligations and those that practically worship wealth thereby engaging in all sorts of crimes like human rituals, children trafficking, prostitution, armed robbery, selling of human beings (even the unborn babies), drug trafficking etc etc, who is actually useless? Certainly, the latter are not just useless but also nuisance and disgrace to the human race. |
The fear of the smiling crocodile is the begining of wisdom. |
They are learnt it from their parents. This is the development and advancement, according to the apostles of civilisation ![]() |
Why the sudden U turn? Or are they scared of the smiling crocodile? ![]() |
NigerDeltan:Is this not stale already? Thought it has been overtaken by the recent event? This shows how u prefer to believe the lies. |
TheGoodJoe:I think I'm getting ur explanation. As in, the word 'Christian' is a derivative of the word 'Christ'. Okay. But I think it is somewhere in the Bible where Jesus Christ said 'I did not come to condemn the work of Moses, Abraham, Isaac etc, but to fulfil them' or words to that effect. Is this not suggestive that Christ is in support of all the work of those prophets including Abraham and which by implication should by binding on Christians? Also, u did not explain the relationship between Moses and the present day 10 Commandments. |
TheGoodJoe:Is Moses a Christian? If yes, what is the difference between him and Isaac, etc? If no, what is his connection with ur present day 10 Commandments? |
socrates007:Pls leave the Imams out of this. Being an Imam is not even a career unlike pastors who are paid monthly for being pastors. Infact, the first day I heard that pastors are employed even on grade levels, I was quite surprised. Being an Imam is not an occupation in Islam. All Imams have occupations. Besides, any knowledgeable muslim can lead a congregation during Salat regardless of his financial status. U may comfirm this wherever u are. |
chimaobinelson:Can't remember actually. |
emmanuelbrown26:Pls leave Imams out of this. How many Imams have u heard are involved in things like this. |
slyng:But our present day christians have criminalised it. Funny how they condemn the holy gospel and replace same with their own version. I cant fit laff. |
chimaobinelson:If this were to be a muslim (not even an Imam), the whole of Islam would have been receiving avalanche of insults now. But now, they are just talking about the pastor alone, not christianity. Hypocrisy at its best. |
ihatebuhari:This is about ur pastor snatching the wife of his church member not about Islam. Rather than thinking of how to address ur problems, keep talking about Islam ![]() |
Bolustic:That is hypocrisy at its best. Condemn it publicly but secretly engage same on full time. |
ochukwuma15:Pls who made the first one? Certainly not the presidency. How will someone after taking his weed, run to the nearest news media, make a mischievious statement, credit it to the presidency and the media, in a bid to make good sales, publish it without verfication? Is this the much talked about 'flying a kite' according to the media practitioners? In as much as freedom of the press is desired, there is also the need for regulations against unethical practices like this. |
tunary:And who told u a muslim gives a damn even if she dies in the Holy Land? The most important thing is that she has practically demonstrated her intention to perform hajj and she will be rewarded exactly the same way others who made it will be rewarded, even in the event that she fails to make it. |
bash97:U dey mind d slowpoke? |
jerryunit48:For ur info, the use of hijab by any good muslim lady is not optional. |
NwaNimo1:A person that can afford over a million naira in Nigeria for a trip is hungry? What a twisted reasoning. If I put ur brain inside a bird, it will fly backward. |
morule20:And how has the use of hijab by muslim ladies been the causes of child rape and other sexual related crimes perpetrated by ur men of God? |
