debbyshaw: please i wanna know if uniuyo sells supplementary form.. Tnks and goodluck to all those admittedYes - UniUyo sells supplementary forms. But right now, the forms are not on sale. When it is, we'll keep it posted here |
ehulonu: Uniuyo Prospective student's should be aware that the Management after the panel meeting have reached an Agreement not to Admit much Candidates this year and the Supplementary Form will be out after the Final Admitted names. Mr Ehulonu on 081- 3839- 6762 - for inquiry Admission help.Which management?? Which panel?? Which admission help are you willing to offer?? Better park well o o o |
Emmy9ite: Bro kadata, looking at the list from a microscopic view,i am left to believe that uniuyo wont add to the number already admitted for medicine/surgery this year. Which course(among the BMS courses) would you advice me to supplement to for if the list is out?I'm still finding it a lil difficult to answer this. Lemme try- 3 departments make up Basic Medical Sciences - Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry. Anatomy and Physiology (not minding how few they are) rarely take candidates from supplementary. They close their chapter for admission after the Merit list. It might change this time around. Biochemistry department used to be a fair try but they've admitted 74 already. I'll advice you to take a chill. When the supplementary form is out, departments would be advertised. You can choose from there. Goodluck!!! |
sir good: bro kadata...plz help me check for vulasi onta wisdom...im wetin 4 ur reply plz........which department naa. ? |

He functions on a single digit intelligence quotient. |
mazizi tonene: fool! Don't be silly, incase u don't know am a medical student in uniport...Α̅πϑ am making conclusions from premises drawn from the fact of the pdf file allegedly containing d list of supposed admitted medical fresh toads in uniuyo for 2012/13 which happens to also be imbibed in ma fone s.card....so shut your stupid mouth if U̶̲̥̅̊'ve got nothing relevant 2 say....jst lucky U̶̲̥̅̊ even got admitted....hope u don't fail outIf you're not a perpetual patient of the madras eye, then you should have seen my contribution on this topic. Medical miscreants like yourself just jump on a thread without poring over and then open the sump you call a mouth to make phoney claims. You are a grievous shame to the placenta that fed you in the womb. And failing out of medical school - what is this slowpoke talking about? Only a plodder with an obscene amount of stupidity platelets as yours would even come up with such a wacky assertion. Olodo!!! |

2011 medicine admission list
|
Admission is strictly on merit. Some assertions here are a bit faulty. In 2009, I was privileged to have direct access to admission unit and I can clearly explain how things are done. While selecting candidates for admission, only 2 considerations are made with merit as focus. The first is cactchment area. Second is Educational Disadvantaged States. Catchment areas have a percentage. EDS also have their percentage. First, there's what is called catchment area. Use Google to find out what it means. What I'm more interested in is the fact that, the cut-off point for applicants from catchment areas is a bit lower than those from non-cactchment. In 2010, for department of Accounting, the cut-off for applicants from catchment areas was 60% while those from non-catchment was 64%. Catchment area does not mean indigenes. Read your JAMB Brochure well before selecting a school as first choice. Applicants from Educationally Disadvantaged States are given preference to those from catchment arreas. They are applicants from states that: 1) Do not have a federal university e.g Ebonyi State, Bayelsa State etc 2)have federal universities who has the 36 states as catchment areas e.g Cross River[UNICAL] , Rivers State[UNIPORT] In 2011, in Medicine, the cut-off for catchment was 261 while for EDS it was 248. The assertion that University Of Uyo is tribalistic is false. This year, out of 46 that were admittd for medicine, 29 are from Akwa Ibom State( representing 63%). The first name on that list is from Imo State. They merited it. I've uploaded snapshots of admission list for medicine for 2011 and 2012. The list for 2011 includes both JAMB and post-UTME scores. Look at it well and ask yourself why they shouldn't be admitted. |
one.east:*smiles* Exactly- that's true. You better tell your kinsmen to apply elsewhere. Olodo |
mazizi tonene: D skul is tribalisticthis maggot will always yap his mouth to sound relevant. |
teemac01: this school practices tribalism.my opinion.think am lying, check the list yourself.I have to say this because posterity would judge if no one ever mentions the fact that you are possibly the most slow human being this planet has produced. This is not written in jest. I am very serious. i actually don't think it's humanly possible for any individual fed on baby food/bosom milk to be this dumb even if he's doing it deliberately. your uncanny ability to stretch the borders of idiocy is world-class. you need to be studied. |
Eze nnaemeka: K, thanks for that reply. I asked cause a friend scored 229 in jamb and 292 in post utme but was not admitted. In department of medicine. Do you think there's any hope for him.229 is low. JAMB score is more important than the POST-UTME score when determining admission. |
Eze nnaemeka: Thanks Kedata. Really appreciate. But like how many people were admitted into the department of medicine this year. Will second batch list come out for medicine students. And do you know the possible cut off mark for medicine. Thanks and expecting your reply.46 were admitted. The curtain might likely drop there. I was carefully hinted by one of our h.o.ds that they'd admit 50 this year for medicine. The remaining 4 may likely come from Direct Entry. I'm not so sure about the cut-off. But seriously, it was highly competitive this time around. The second list would be the supplementary list. More info on that later |

kinsab: guy plz help me check my name plz i'm waiting for ur reply my name is kingsley sabinus james @computer engr. ThanksCongrats. You've been granted admission to study Computer Engineering. No. 46 |
Redpoet: Thanks again Kadata, you're very nice. I'm in the department of Biochemistry but I want to transfer to medicine.I heard you have been admitted. Welcome to medical school. |
You can check at the Onyeama Ogochukwu Hall. Goodluck guys |
Emmy9ite: @Reuben: Good news for those that their results were witheld.Time to check yours if it was writing 'hello result has not been released'Acceptance fees was about N10,000(if wrong someone pls correct-its yrs i paid that) Sch fees for first semester was about N38,000 plus hostel N8500. I'd say roughly N60,000. Thats just an estimation |
Emmy9ite: hmmm-77 admitted and only 50 moved to the next level,it means after the MBBS exam it was remaining 20 or so...how long after the release of the admission list does it take to start registration??registration = next semester |
Emmy9ite: I just pray d number is increased, lets have more doctors from uyo too..is the syllables d same for all nigerian universities??LoL- funny dude. Na the same syllabus naa- it's one thing to get admitted , it's another thing to pass to the next class- it is yet another to graduate. I see reasons with the school management for taking that decision. And I think it's good enough. We were 77 that was ædmitted then. After 100 Level, only about 50 could make it to 200 Level. The rest had to leave because they couldn't pass some basic courses. Well- it's more complicated than you think. When you come here , you'd understand |
Emmy9ite: i also heard about the number of people admitted..what really caused the low number and how many have they been admitting before??We got full accreditation last year. We've graduated 2 batches of doctors yet. The number of students being offered admission should be regulated to avoid losing the accreditation. This year would increase a bit. One of my H.O.D s said 50 or so. |
Emmy9ite: Bro.....uniuyo does nt consider applicants for admission if they dont score above 180 in the post u.m.e regardless of thier high jamb scores...i guess i will forward the 'supplementary form' question to my boss, kadata..Hmmm- that's true. One must score 180+ to consider supplementary form |
