Plutus: Am so confused, I wrote dis exam with high hopes but unfortunately wen I checked d result, d result was too low.Sorry bro. You need to score at least 180 in PUTME to be considered for admission (no matter how high your jamb score is). I'm not God sha- something can still happen |

codeaddict: National MeritSame here. I wrote for National Merit too. Sadly, I'm yet to hear anything about the results. Lets keep hope alive |
Ejiekwu 1: @ KADATA, if you are not a first class material then you are not qualify to give us the nine points you have given. some of those points doesn't work. It takes a really first class material to tell us what it takes to make a first classLook at you brainfarting on this thread and pussyfooting on who is or who is not a first class material. I deliberately avoided that subject matter for reasons best known to me. Unlike slowpokes like you who spent their intra-uterine life sucking on lucifer's bosoms, I don't go around blowing trumpets. If someone could make these points to help fellow Nigerian students(especially freshmen), can't you at least read and save your entire generation from an imminent mirade of brain distress?? If you feel the points won't work for you, then you can happily save this planet from more stress and donate you pea-shaped brain for neuro-analysis. |
ortopazz: mehn kadata man really i nid 2 see u! We'v got a test 2mao and am on2u,Sounds serious. Ohk- I have some tablets I need to pick up this evening. By 7p.m, I should be in my room. You can check by then |
fm7070: let's see how far they can go.I'm chilling with popcorn and coke and watching from this side of the hemisphere. Let's see how it goes |
ngak: 373 is propaganda. In reality 97 were hired. I am currently in lasuth and am yet to see anyone that resembles a doctorLoLs- how person de resemble doctor naaa?? |
jumpmasta: Either you were kicked out from medical school or your low jamb scores could not fetch you medicine as a course...either way you can still buy jamb form for medicineThe slowpoke can still apply for 2013 UTME. I hear the forms will be on sale very soon. I'll make a special effort to keep him posted. |
saintneo: Great write up. However, the only part[b] I never practiced is seeking for past questions. Somehow, I feel past question do not help us test our ability to resolve unknown problems. Only people with true ingenuity are able to tackle unknown problems comfortably.[b/]That's quite a point. I was never a fan of past questions in the first semester of my first year until my GPA became 4.50 . Seriously, I wasn't happy. I felt I could have done better. But seriously, what could I have done before then?? What didn't I do?? I went through all the courses at least 3 times before the exam. I was well versed in the subject matter. I foresaw a 5.00 before the examinations. But there is something I didn't do. I didn't go through past questions. I didn't even care if any existed. I felt my 'unguided' studying could give me that GPA. I was wrong. My brother, life is too short to make all the mistakes yourself. You can stand tall with your efforts alone . But you can only get tall. Past questions is analogous to standing on the shoulders of giants - and you will certainly stand taller. Past questions exposes weaknesses you never foresaw. In a course with voluminous content as Medicine, you cannot - I repeat- you cannot take EVERY subject matter with equal importance. There is too much information around too many voluminous textbooks. Past questions then become necessary to put you on track. No matter how much you know, performance is not applauded until results show for it. Now tell me between that guy who had the past questions and scored higher and you that ACTUALLY solved the question, who had the higher applause?? |
It's working for many. Ask around. Imanuelle: All dis na copy and paste... |
deshclones: Don't agree with you on this man....i tend to study better once the exam timetable is out//like 1-2wks b4 d main exam..guess its different strokes for different folksI study better too when the examination timetable is out. But that would be about the 3rd or 4th time I'd be visiting that subject matter. It may be studying for you by then, for me it's revision. Agreed- different strokes for different folks. But some strokes seem to hit the hardest |
allycat: I always identify myself as one of those useless, greedy doctors many are cussing out here. I was in LASUTH yesterday to pick up my personal instruments which I normally keep there in case of emergencies and I didn't see any sign of normalcy. No clinics were running, there were a few people loitering outside A and E but the theatre was quiet, no surgeries can take place because there are no anaesthetist to put people to sleep. About half the doctors sacked are from LASUTH so if you want a good idea of what is going on go there first. Nearly all the consultants were affected by the sack and the few who were on leave cannot work because they need their resident doctors. I know of a consultant that worked through the 3 day warning strike and was still working until the day the sack letters were issued. At that point she went home, she rightly noted that since she was sacked she had no legal backing to continue to see any patient. Because rightly or wrongly If anything happened to a patient now she can be sued and she has no defence. Humanitarianism is no defence. There were other doctors not all that were sneaking in to see patients in places like ICU but they have all stopped. I am not trying to justify the strike to anybody, he who wears the shoe knows how it pinches . As for kicking people out of their homes, less than 5% of doctors had quarters and while it is painful for those affected it serves as a lesson for other doctors, never take official accommodation. It's just a tool for blackmail.and here some mutants are pussyfooting and ranting on how heartless doctors are. |
ziccoit: I now come to understand, at least with this comment, that majority of posts here are born out of hatred for the noble work of doctors. The reason could be traced to the fact that majority of students wanted to be doctors and later jambed into whatever they eventually studied by jamb. They should have blamed the universities that had limited spaces to admit bainfarts with low-coordinating and comprehending ability. Instead of studying for those examinations, he was prolly sucking on satan's bosoms. |
ojubi: This serve the doctors well, and it is a reminder to others even those in medical school that medicine is not alpha and omega among courses.Obviously, you seem to have issues with comprehension. The issue on ground is quite obvious and here are you brain-farting on how some medical doctor attempts to lord over your decerebrized self. I mean - who ever said medicine was better than any other course? Create a thread for that and I'll happily welcome you with punches you'll live to remember |
codeaddict: I wrote an aptitude test for Total Scholarship Award for undergraduates on Nov. 26, and till now, I haven't heard any information about the results. Does anyone have any details on when the results are going to be announced?Which category did you write for?? national Merit or Host Communities ? |
Linusclark: You are a man of great erudition...tnx...remain blessed! ![]() |
#1 - Go To Class! While going to class sounds too simple to be a primary concern, this is one of the most effective study habit. Going to class not only keeps you disciplined and focused on what you're at this University to do - it allows you to absorb the subject matter simply by sitting through the lectures. If you're an auditory learner, this is tremendous because listening to the explanation in the lectures will create an understanding that should be convenient enough to pass the class in itself! If you're a visual learner then watching the notes being written on the board or reading through the slides (if available in your university) during the presentation will give you the necessary understanding to pass the class. Going to class also ensures you have the latest news on assignments, tests, quizzes, and exams straight from your lecturer’s mouth. You don't want to be that student that shows up for class once a week only to find there's a scheduled test on that day! You can make it. See you at the top. |
