Education / Re: How Much Did You Spend On Your Final Year Project?? by kaikubura: 9:24am On Dec 23, 2016 |
I worked on a computer simulation project and spent approximately N4,000 Printing @ N3 for 100 pages = 300 × 3 copies = 900 Coke and doughnuts (to cool off when simulating) = 1,000 Hardcover binding of 3 copies = 900 Internet = 1,000 Software = FREE cracked version (I owe those developers) TOTAL = 3800 The reading I did was like reading for 3 semesters without break because computer simulation needs you to be well grounded in theories. But in the end, God gave me a resounding A. 4 Likes |
Politics / An Exodus From Egypt - The Nigerian Context by kaikubura: 8:20pm On Dec 20, 2016 |
As they use to say "these world's activities are repetitions of past occurrences" and "there is no new thing under heaven". The current Nigerian crisis is synonymous to a journey once embarked upon by "God's beloved'' (Ancient Israel). This short story relates to the presents situation we have found ourselves in Nigeria. Before I begin to share my thougths, let me quickly re-tell a story we all know in the Holy Bible using the Nigerian context in parenthesis: Once upon a very long time (1960-2015), the children of Israel (Nigerians) were enslaved in a far away land called Egypt (Corruption). In that land they faced hardship, hunger, extrajudicial killings, slavery and so many calamities (economic recession). One fateful day, a prince in Egypt who is a descendant of Israel, saw that his people were passing through much pain for them to bear, he then decided to move against the ruling power that fed him, he volunteered [though appointed by God] to free the Israelites from their suffering. The Prince's name was Moses (Buhari) and he had a brother named Aaron (Nigerian senators and reps). He related his intentions to them all and they agreed to follow him out of Egypt (corruption) to a promise land where succour, excellence, boom and comfort abide. The day of exodus (election) soon came and they journeyed out to an unknown destination with little water and food (depleted reserve) to sustain them. Few hours (months) into their journey they encountered a huge and discouraging sea in front of them; Egyptian Army (corrupt politicians, militants and business men) who were against the Israelites leaving Egypt, came right behind with their military warfare (oil sabotage, currency hoarding, bureau de change scams). As a result, panic started and they began cursing and blaming Moses (Buhari) who promised to free them from Egypt. They shouted in their large multitude saying "Is staying in Egypt and being slaves not better than this?" (is it not better for corruption to exist, at least there was money to spend, things were not these expensive etc.). Some even said they will go back to Egypt while few had the faith that they will get to the promised land come whatever. Truly there was no physical escape route (failing Naira and militancy) but God gave them can unexplainable miracle by paving a smooth way in the Red sea (economic recession) while the Egyptian Army perished right in the sea. After they crossed the Red sea, Moses went to the mountain to receive commandments ("Change" from God so that Israelites can abide by it and prosper. While he was on the mountain, Aaron (National Assembly) made a golden calf (stupid bills and propaganda) for Israelites (Nigerians) to worship. To cut the long story short, the journey was to last 40 days (4 years) but unfortunately it took 40 years (only God knows how long Nigeria's will be)... TO BE CONTINUED! |

Crime / VIDEO: Please Help This Small Girl by kaikubura: 11:28am On Nov 30, 2016 |
There is this woman with her small lively girl (3-4 years old, her name is Tata) living just adjacent to the community lodge where I reside for my NYSC primary assignment. She is suffering from drug addiction and each time she snuffs a black substance, she loses her sanity and behaves abnormally. On other days she converses normally and sometimes I pray with her. The little girl is suffering from malnutrition and drug abuse too (the woman gives her the substance to snuff when high). If you know any motherless or rehab home please help drop their contact. THANK you. You can see the video here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JKvO3iXJjSU CC: Seun, Mynd44, OAM4J 1 Like

NYSC / Breaking News! Protest In NYSC Akwa Ibom State Camp by kaikubura: 11:29pm On May 12, 2016 |
Akwa Ibom state NYSC camp is currently under tense condition as corp members are protesting the unusual treatment of corp members by the camp management. The protest was ignited by the disruption of camp activities by the state coordinator. Unlike other camps, different social activities were scrapped and the food given to corp members are so bad that it is compared to prisoner's food. This night been the last day of camp it is expected that corp members should be allowed to have a closing party or bonfire night but the state coordinator again halted such. Some corp members were threatened and arrested by soldiers because they voiced out. It is known fact that some staff don't really like the management style of the woman because she's a religion fanatic who like to impose her beliefs on everyone. She is tagged a wicked dictator. 1 Like |
