Gbolah21: My uncle got 1year tourist visa this morning together with his 2 kids under short stay. He scheduled 10days trip for Easter and requested for multiple entries. Though he’s a frequent traveler to Schengen countries and his last France visa was 6 month. The children are first time traveler. So it’s possible to get 1 year tourist visa under short stay. Congrats to ur uncle and everyone that has gotten longer visa VALIDITY on tourist visa. However, I talked about number of STAY in my previous post. NB: visa VALIDITY differs frm number of STAY. My point: tourist visa number of stay is 90 days either on single or multiple entry if applicant's visa has longer validity and If he/she is approve to stay for 90 days. Every visa has validity period and number of stay respectively. |

mialate: You can be given 1 year Type D , but the reason stated for requesting must be valid and very convincing.
Which you cannot break the 90/180 rule.
Example- if i apply for a tourist visa to visit france in April and i will need to go on a Personal short course sometime in June to August etc. Its a continuous need to be in France .
If you request isnt satisfactory to them ,you may grant you a lesser period. TYPE D = LONG STAY VISA CATEGORIES TYPE C = SHORT STAY VISA CATEGORIES So, your explanation says 1 year visa is possible for TYPE D which equal to what I said: that is, 1 year is not possible for tourist visa which falls under type C visa category according to schengen visa rules. So, If any applicant has gotten 1 year visa under type C (tourist visa) category, let him/her come out to proof schengen visa rule wrong. |

pufframmy: but someone here got 1 year for tourist visa last week or 2 weeks ago it was posted here It is possible under long stay. But under short stay, well......... Let the person tells the house if it is short or long stay. But schengen rule says tourist can only stay for 90 days. |

Mysha03: And please if I want a year visa for tourism, do I pick the long stay option? Schengen only issues maximum of 90 days for tourist visa which falls under short stay. Long stay is for other purposes that do not include tourist visa |

Greetings house.
For those that av received e-visa, pls what is its validity (3, 4, 5 or 6 months)? |
Travel › Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Kajolplus: 8:34pm On Feb 20, 2022 |
Gentlesoul3268: Please is it mandatory to submit 3 month bank statements? Or someone can submit more than that like 6 months? Schengen rule says "minimum last 3 months" but d rule never mentions "maximum" (meaning, u can submit frm 3 months upward). I av submitted 1-year as well as 6-month SOA and embassy never frown @ it. In summary, submittion of 3 to 12 months SOA is within d acceptable range. I stand to be corrected pls. |

mamawa123: Thank you
So I will have to wait within 48 hours to the scheduled appointment before I can reschedule It is risky to wait for 48 hours because of processes it involves. Appointment re-schedule is done by French Embassy not VFS but u av to send a mail to VFS first. VFS will give you embassy email. Having received embassy email frm VFS, u will present ur matter by sending a mail. |

mamawa123: Will VFS fee be refunded if an appointment is canceled before biometric and submission appointment date. It is not refundable. It is clearly written on the appointment paper. However, it can be re-scheduled as this is stated clearly in the appointment paper also. |

Donbaba123: They didn't issue credit card here in Nigeria except Debit card/dollar card, even most of Nigeria debit card doesn't work outside the country while some are limited to $100 in a month. Banks in Nigeria issue credit cards well well but issue to qualified customers. Someone close to me has one and I used it to pay for admission application fee in year 2016. Credit card holders could be seen amongst reputable business persons as well as high paid salary earner. In other words, anyone with high stable income/salary qualifies for it. But qualification to get credit card is determine by bank not by individual customer. |

Since you are staying for 10 days, Single entry is OK.
But if u want multiple entry for 10-day stay, you must justify/proof beyond reasonable doubt as to why seeking multiple entry for stay of 10 days.
Also, you can buy insurance of exact number of days (10 days in your case). There is no harm in doing it. I have bought insurance of just 4 days for business visa before and embassy did not raise eye brow.

Thank you kajolplus, As a first timer I should not tick multiple entry?
I'm staying for 10days and I should buy 14- days/ 2 week insurance ? What if I should buy exact days i wanted to stay?
Thumb up kajo |

Good evening house, pls I wanted to travel for France for 10days and I ticked multiple visa at first timer pls how many days medical insurance I will need to buy? Also is it advisable to buy it online ? As a first timer, 10 days is OK but tick/select single/1 entry. Buy 14-day/2-week insurance and it is advisable to buy online. Eva59: Hello, I am required to have a medical insurance worth about €30,000 before applying for France student visa. Now, I don’t know how that works. Do I need to actually pay the €30,000 outrightly to an insurance company (before leaving Nigeria)? That’s a lot of money, and I don’t think I can afford that. Please, help with more information about this. Thanks. You are not paying €30k. Duration of your insurance policy as well as insurance company you choose determine amount to be paid. Choose one insurance company amongst Allianz, Axamansard, IGI, Aiico. Either you go to its office or search for it online and say what you want. You will be guided properly (they are professionals) and get desire result. |

Nchabuomo: Just use any NCDC approved centre.
Does airlines even have the power to dictate which tests centres they accept? Once the test centre is approved by the government of the country the test is conducted in, then it's acceptable. Don't just use any NCDC approved laboratory, it is advisable to ask your carrier in order to avoid 'had I know'. Example of the airlines I know: Ethiopia airline accepts any NCDC approved laboratories. British Airways and Qatar Airways don't accept any. They have their own approved laboratories. These laboratories are amongst NCDC approved laboratories. I wish all travellers save and covid-free-problem journey. |

Amakapritty: Guys pls advice, when do I take my covid_19 test if the requirement is 72 hours before arrival and am to travel on a Friday by 10pm ANSWER: A day (Thursday morning) before travel day (Friday). NB: If your ticket is booked, ask your carrier (airline) their approved Covid-19 test laboratory. Once airline tells you, search for the laboratory on google and begin to talk to them via WhatsApp. Professionally, the laboratory will answer all your Covid-19 test questions |

pufframmy: i mean it doesnt Expired oo, Yellow card can be use more than 20 years no expiration date just make sure it the current one that can be check online, You can surely Use it, But i dont think Schengen are checking that To know its validity, scan the QR code of the card and see the hidden information that are not written on the card especially the exact year a card expires. |

Yellow Fever Vaccine via-a-vis Yellow Fever Card lasts 10 years from the day of receiving both.
But western countries do not require it for travelling.
To know the validity of both Vaccine and Card, scan the QR code on the cover page of the card by using QR or Bar code app.
QR or Bar code app can be downloaded from Google Playstore |

For those that have submitted visa app @ VFS Lagos, I wanna ask please:
1) Did you submit questionnaire? 2) How much did you pay when booking appointment? 3) How much did you pay @ VFS Lagos office on the day of app submission?
Cheers! |

080bjaked: Yes they do. All VFS Centre accept all types of applications.
Although I'm almost sure SA doesn't have tourist visas what you'd apply for is Visitor's visa.
See the link below for details of the visa and the requirements.
http://www.dha.gov.za/index.php/applying-for-sa-visa
Regards. Many thanks for ur response and correction. I meant to write VISITOR VISA. I also meant to ask 'if LAGOS VFS accepts visitor's visa application now due to COVID-19 ravaging both Nigeria & South Africa ' Regards! |
