Stormyweather: Hello good people of nairaland. I'm a batch B stream 1 corp member soon to round off In October/November. When can I start applying for jobs? I'm a graduate of English and literary studies and I have a certificate in HRM and CRM. I will really appreciate efforts to answer my question and not ridicule me. Thanks in advance. I concur with all what the people above have said... Start now. In fact, start preparing for aptitude tests by studying Gmat and SHL type of questions... Also prepare for how to answer interview questions. Best Case: you get a job before you pass out. Worst Case: you don't get a job but have enough experience in writing aptitude test and answering interview questions. I wish you the best. |

Laolballs: Losers are always looking for excuses while successfull people sets their eyes on result. Its so obvious you probably didn't perform well in the apptitut test. We as for me i took the test and am positive i'll kill it. GBAM Loser? because I pointed out the errors I saw which was corroborated by other candidates. If you didn't notice the grammatical blunders during the test, it means you are either an half baked graduate or just stupid. Moreover, what gave you the impression that I didn't perform well in the test. You are very confident about your performance (I guess time will tell if you killed the test or not). When the result comes out or they are calling successful candidates to next stage, I will call you out... For your information, I have written aptitude tests set by Dragnet and Workforce and they are better than the crap I saw today... |

Just finished my test. Snapnet is the worst vendor ever. The questions and options for fill-in-the-gap questions were constructed badly. It got to a point that I was wondering if the questions were set by an illiterate ... How I wish Dragnet had conducted the test. |

pamela007: Good morning everyone, i'd advise you try clicking on the link that was sent to you via email again. When i first recieved the email (Tuesday), i tried the link that same day, and i was getting the same error as everyone else. I emailed them, and got no response other than the automatic reply. I decided to try again just this morning, and i was able to fill in my employment information that i omitted when i was first applying.
For those who have not recieved any email yet, do not fret.... i had already lost hope because people had already written their assessment almost a month ago and i still hadn't recieved an email. Lo and behold the email came when i least expected it. They stated clearly in their automatic complaint reply that if are not selected you would be informed. So as kong as you have not recieved a regret mail there is hope. I suspect they are doing it in batches.
Good luck to everyone. She is right. I just completed my application by filling my employment and answering some questions... Click on the link again. |

Viburnum: Your question upsets me..
How can that be possible.. This thread just started April 5 or so.
No one here has done this before it seems, we r all new to this.. Y then did u ask me that? My question upsets you? Nothing I said should upset you. I only wanted to know the source of your claim. |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Unilever Future Leaders Programme 2017 by kaka22(m): 2:41pm On Apr 25, 2017 |
Viburnum: Hmmmm I don't agree with your analysis except for that of mixed evidence since a regret mail have been proven to be the next thing for it..
I have read of people who got excellent feedbacks but were turned down due to "availability of too much qualified applicants" of which some did not have the "excellent evidence" feedback...
We don't know how this system works, you can only know if u r on the inside.. My opinion, all these speculations are not healthy so please let's stop worrying, just pray, wait and see... #thedeadlineisnear
No matter how much u speculate u can't change the outcome, we will only trouble ourselves and when the time comes and we are called we will then find out that we ain't ready emotionally because of the emotional roller Costa we have put ourselves in... And this is worst frame of mind u can be in while prepping for AC or DC @ bolded... Really? Did you read it on this thread? |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Unilever Future Leaders Programme 2017 by kaka22(m): 1:18pm On Apr 25, 2017 |
My view on the feedback gotten so far;
Excellent evidence - Invitation to next level is sure
Competent evidence - Invitation to next level is dependent on the number of people that got excellent evidence mail and the number of people they want for the next stage.
Mixed evidence - Regret mail is sure.
No feedback - Be patient. They will get back to you. They are probably overwhelmed with a lot of applications now.
Disclaimer- The view above represents my own not necessarily the decision of Unilever's recruitment team. |

I got this feedback after the video interview; Cc Farouksenior
SUCCESS CRITERIA You were assessed on the following key areas in the video interview and case study. These areas are critical to success in Unilever. • Judgment (i.e. big picture thinking, analyzing information and making decisions, thinking innovatively and being positive about change). • Drive (i.e. having the motivation to succeed, working to accelerate business growth, being obsessed with consumer needs and improving brands and consumer experience) • Influence (i.e. communicating effectively, learning from mistakes and inspiring others) You were required to demonstrate at least an acceptable standard of performance for each area in order to show that you have reached the minimum requirements of the programme Feedback Judgement - Big picture thinking, analysis & decision making and change & innovation Overall, you provided competent evidence against ‘big picture thinking’, you thought about some of the wider implications of your ideas and suggestions. You could provide more information or examples of your passion for Unilever and why you are committed and supportive to Unilever’s wider vision. You could develop further by thinking about how you would work more effectively with different teams across Unilever and how you could achieve savings (i.e. deliver more for less). When analyzing information you may want to think about what you are trying to achieve? It is useful to set out the questions that you want to answer at the outset so that you can identify the trends, inconsistencies and risks in the data. You would also benefit from thinking about how you present the full rationale behind your ideas / solutions in a convincing manner (especially when working with more senior individuals). You provided competent evidence against the area – change and innovation. Overall it is clear that you are positive about change and you identify some opportunities for better ways of working. You could further develop by considering the full impact of change on others and think about the practical implications of making your ideas a reality. You may also want to think about how you would motivate and encourage others to generate creative ideas and how you would address resistance to new ideas or new ways of working. Drive - Drive to succeed, accelerating business growth and consumer needs You demonstrated some understanding of Unilever and how your values and strengths match to the requirements of the Future Leaders Programme. You could benefit by thinking about how you will drive your own career and development and how you will overcome challenging aspects of the role. You could further improve by thinking about how you will build relationships across the business to overcome challenges and build long term partnerships. You needed to provide more evidence against working effectively to accelerate business growth. For example, it is clear why quality is important to you but how would you improve quality and what steps would you take to maintain it? You could improve further in the future by thinking about how you prioritise complex tasks, how to deal effectively with pressure and how to multi-task more effectively to achieve more in busy times. You could also benefit from thinking about constantly improving consumer satisfaction, what would consumers like to see more of? Influence - Inspirational leadership, influencing skills and learning agility Overall, you demonstrated competent evidence against the ability to communicate effectively but you could provide more detail around how you influence others. You provided evidence that you could lead a team and work closely with other partners across Unilever. However, in order to improve further you should think about how you would work collaboratively and effectively with a wide-range of people (i.e. including those more senior to you). You may also want to consider how you co-ordinate and lead people during challenging situations or disagreements. What action would you take and what would you do to ensure that goals were achieved and projects were not de-railed because of disagreements? Also think about different ways of involving others to ensure everyone is listened to and quieter individuals are able to contribute to a discussion. |

Farouksenior: i saw this
SUCCESS CRITERIA You were assessed on the following key areas in the video interview and case study. You could develop further by thinking about how you would support Unilever’s wider vision and goals. You needed to provide more evidence about the details of some of the wider issues (i.e. impact on resource, on other people, on the consumer, on budget etc.) and how you would deal with these in Unilever. You could develop further by thinking about how you would work more effectively with different teams across Unilever and how you could achieve savings (i.e. deliver more for less). For example, what approach would you take to build relationships with others in order to gain information about the wider business? How would you ensure you were effective at cross-team / cross-functional meetings? How would you add value? You provided some positive evidence against how you assimilate information, but you needed to provide more clarity around how you analyze information. What process do you go through to get to the crux of a problem? How do you ensure that you evaluate the data in a way which means no important issues are missed? You also needed to provide more information about how you make decisions and how you would arrive at a decision quickly. For example, what are you setting out to achieve? Why is it important? Why is it useful to the audience? What can they gain from this project? What methodology or approach are you utilizing? Overall it is clear that you are positive about change and you identify some opportunities for better ways of working. You could further develop by considering the full impact of change on others and think about the practical implications of making your ideas a reality. You may also want to think about how you would motivate and encourage others to generate creative ideas and how you would address resistance to new ideas or new ways of working. Drive - Drive to succeed, accelerating business growth and consumer needs You demonstrated some understanding of Unilever and your own values and strengths. However, you needed to provide more detailed evidence of how you would use your strengths to be successful in Unilever and on the Programme. You could benefit by thinking about how you will drive your own career and development and how you will overcome challenging business problems or barriers. You needed to provide more evidence against working effectively to accelerate business growth. For example, it is clear that you adopt a structured approach to work, but is not clear why quality is important to you and what steps you will take to maintain quality results. You could improve further by explaining the logic behind your thinking and providing a clear rationale for your methods. You could also improve further in the future by thinking about how you prioritize complex tasks, how you deal effectively with pressure and how to multi-task more effectively to achieve more in busy times. Influence - Inspirational leadership, influencing skills and learning agility You demonstrated mixed evidence against this area, you provided some positive evidence but also have some development areas. You spoke clearly for most of the interview, however, you needed to provide further evidence that you would work closely with stakeholders across Unilever (including senior individuals). In order to improve further you should think about how you would work collaboratively and effectively with a wide-range of people (i.e. including those more senior to you) and how you will proactively support others? How would you share information to ensure that everyone worked well together? What action would you take to support and motivate members of the team? You also need to think about how you would take control of your own development and learning? How would you learn from your mistakes and what action would you take to ensure that you didn’t make the same mistakes again in the future?
then a sorry mail ...after all the english wer i speak for supply chain Sorry about the regret mail. Better opportunities ahead... When I did my video interview, I was not fluent as I wanted to be. It got to a point that I forgot what to say and paused for a moment before I continued. In fact, I was expecting a regret mail after the interview but I've not received one. |
