PearlyJay:Nice hearing from you PearlyJay. there are many courses you could do, but must important is what is your goal...what are your plans what are you trying to achieve? these are the questions that will guide your choice of program. do not chose a course base on your first degree, its old fashion, its now multi-vested individuals that take charge. so first thing first is - what is the goal? |

1. Eligibility for the proposed course of study Unilag Pg does not allow you to do some courses with your Bsc. If you have HND you are so limited to MBA and 2 other courses. you need to find out if your course is eligible, so you dont get disqualified as I know a lot of people who scored above the cut-off point in last exams but were disqualified. E,g Bsc Accounting is not allow to read Msc Finance, likewise, Finance has its restrictions. You need to know and be informed adequately so you dont make a mistake. A lady called me today and asked if she could apply for an engineering msc with her pgd from another school? I told her Unilag frown at pgd from other school, she was shocked. she then said ok let her use her HND, as she has one. I told her no way. she later said but UI allows such. I told her i know, but that is Unilag for you. so you st know your eligibility status. Thee are powerful combos you could do if only you have the right info. For example Combos for Economics graduate are listed below. if you dont have this info you might never know you could do these courses as an Economics graduate. having proper info to these things is very important. Bsc Economics hot combo plus MBA plus IRPM pgd finance plus Dev Finance plus Risk Mgt plus MPIA plus MILR plus Accounting plus MDSS plus Pgd Computer Science plus Msc Economics plus Insurance plus Actuarial Science plus Operations Research plus Operations and Production Mgt plus Organizational Behaviour plus Management plus MMP plus Sociology plus PGDE plus Marketing plus MILD plus MELS Let me know if you have any problem in choosing a course or combining your course with your experience. |
I will be guiding you and taking your questions on Unilag Pg admission for next session 2018/2019 I will be helping you decide which course to apply for considering your training, background, experience and Bsc degrees. But before then there are many things you need to decide on. The top 3 are these; 1. Eligibility for the proposed course of study 2. The Fees associated with each programme 3. The Format and structure of the exams I will cover each on this thread, to help you prepare and make informed decisions. |

POSTPONEMENT OF POST JAMB EXAMS The postponement of the above exams shows the ASUU strike is taking its victims. lets hope the Federal Govt and ASUU resolve their issues on time so we can be done with this phase, else be ready for a long wait ahead... |
Deprofessional:not fo all cases. this only works for professional courses and PT. for FT and MSC its just the class of degree and professional qualification that matters, remember it has to be relevant to the degree in pursuit. hope it helps |
kellyboo:yes true |
The exams dates and time table has not been released, that would be done this weekend. however, if the school authorities already fixed the Post Jamb exams for sept 19-22 which is CBT, it only means they will be going ahead with the Post graduate exams. ASUU strike might not affect this exams. looking at trend analysis, I predict Sept 16- 23rd for the exams. It not then it will be first week of October. so my advise is get prepared. There are more people who have registered this year than any other years I know and they way they are reading mennn its gonna be hot. so no time to waste. will update you as i get more facts. Hope it helps someone. |
Funjosh:N112k per yr, its last for 2 years |
solidhomes:if your intention is International relation, MISS is not the course, the course is MPIA. in Unilag International Relations is called International Affairs, but they are the same course. some schools calls its IR while others calls it IA. IA is even more robust than IR syllabus. MISS is not open to everyone, its a secluded course for some set of pple. Hope it helps. |

do you know why only 6000 of about 25000 - 30000 applicants are successful? its because most applicants play with the most important part of the process, preparing for the exams. your exams scores is the koko. so go get ready. |
afo7219:why not confirm yourself? what if the dept says no after you applied and spent your money, who will you hold responsible? |

Talkingboy:you need to be admitted first. then pay all ur fees.then u can defer for at most 5 years |
Queenarbie:which course under adult education are you applying for? |
Dozi05:Nothing else, prepare for the exams |
