Hi kalan , a friend has a bsc in sociology from unilorin and will like to do her masters in industrial and personnel relations or hr in unilag. The problem is that she is currently a Corp member and is due to end her service sometime in October or latest November this year depending on the official passing out date. She is stream 1 2016 batch B nysc. Someone told her discharge certificate is a requirement for filling the masters form in unilag but I am thinking that since she will be done with nysc before the actual msc program begins hopefully there may be a way around this. your advice is kindly needed .Thanks

All passing out by October can apply. the form application is 100% online, so upload the callup letter and write the exams, if you go to the dept to submit any form, you will be bounced. so just follow strictly online, so you write the exams in September and then results are released in December by then your cert will be ready.

1. the answer to this questions is not yes or No. it depends on so many factors, which you have not stated. so send me an sms or email or whatsapp so i can understand your context and then advise you appropriately.

2. FT for any course cutoff is higher than PT

3. last year cutoff was around 52

4. seems you have decided on Msc... for syllabus dont have it now

There is No Med Accounting Education in Unilag for now, what is available is Med Business Education.

Just like yesterday , i was on 2016-17 thread asking lot of questions , got form on the last day-, bought past questions from kalan( thought i was scammed 5k but it was a blessing in disguise, but the fear of losing 24k application form gripped me to study hard like i was going to write another WAEC. over 100 plus applied for my option- structures which often use to have a high cut off mark of 67%, 34 were finally admitted one list no supplementary admission whatsoever my name appeared 16th on the list.
LET ME TELL YOU THE HONEST TRUTH, IF YOU WILL NOT STUDY HARD FOR MSC especially if you are working, just keep your money in your pocket because what you will meet in UNILAG will shock you especially the faculty of engineering.
DO ALL WHAT KALAN ASK YOU TO DO, I AM A LIVING TESTIMONY.

Surveying or any field of Environmental or Earth-related Sciences

At Msc level, your WAEC plays very little. what matters is your Bsc result. so nobody cares how you get your bsc just get it. lol

there is no PT for mechanical only FT, its 12 months

All Msc in Unilag is 12 months max. All except Msc Finance which is 18 months.
For the questions is more of german questions, that is fill in the gab and list and define etc.
the past questions is detailed enough to help you get a hold of it.

This covers for all pgd education courses.

The relevant management courses relating to your filed, you are not eligible. that leaves you with the only better option
MBA option in Operations and Production Management

ignore it, it wont matter. when you are ready, chose the program you want and the fees transaction ID that you pay is the one that counts

1. yes they will for application but they wont for admission purposes, so you better be sure either the original certificate or transcript will
be ready by Dec/Jan

2. yes

3. a combo is what you can add to your Bsc course. e.g if you read Msc Computer science and i say Msc Economics is a combo,
I mean combining Bsc Computer science with Msc Economics is very possible and a good combination for career growth.

wow nice Cv u have here.
however, Unilag dont take HND for their courses and the only course they do take HND is MBA but they required upper.
But since you have 8 years experience... approach the dept and ask if you can be considered.

if not maybe you need to pursue another school.

if you have 8 years experience in the industry you are eligible
if not up to that, you are not, except you go for pgd Mass comm,

remember the purpose of pgd is to help those who are changing careers to learn the rudiments of that course.
