Health / Re: Help! His Genotype Is AA And His Wife's Genotype Is AS But Their Daughter is SS by kamer: 7:02am On May 17, 2015
MistadeRegal:
Pay attention to my story.
I am the third child but the first son. My sisters look exactly like my mum and dad respectively. My younger brothers look like my parents also respectively while I am different. My dad never treat me different from others and whenever he's scolding me, he always say, "I am your father and I won't watch you ruin!" Years later, I recalled as I grow taller, my grandmother(dad's mum) came visiting. And when it's morning, I went to greet her our native way. She pulled me up and began our lineage pedigree, I didn't look up at her and then she raised my head up and gave me the first shock!...She called my dad sharply and said to him with her eyes wide open, "This is the exact figure of your father!"
Since then, she always call me her husband.

Now, two years ago, my uncle(dad's elder brother) died. We all went to his home town. Dad took I and my uncle's son to greet some elders. We went round and came to the chief's(Baale) house where we all were assembled and he started eulogising us for the dead. This was where I got abother shock. I have never met this old man ever before but to my surprise, as many as we are there with him, while he was still speaking, I looked up, he paused and pointed at me saying same words, "Of all those here, ONLY YOU took after the beauty of your grandfather!" Everyone turned and stared at me! Some of my cousins whispered, "A je pe grandpa fine gan niyen o!"(That means grandpa is very handsome!) Then he(Baale) continued hus words....

Now what am I trying to tell your friend, if DNA proves he is the father of that girl, she could have taken after any of his grannies. He should never doubt his innocent wife and paint her a colour she never deserves because for the fact that I did not look like my dad or mum does not make me a bastard. Note.
Trash.. Trash..trash..we are discusing genotype and DNA here and you discussing resemblanc and baale. Is your genotype different from those of your parents?

emonkey:
I really never like to read political articles by celebrity artists , because they tend to be nothing more than political articles by celebrity artists. The truth is that it is the job of an artist to be unrealistic ; that is what they are good at and that is what they are celebrated for - their excellent ability to lose connection with reality. One thing that becomes lclear from the episode of the altercation between Oba of Lagos and Ibos is that the Ibos actually believe that communities are built on commerce and therefore carry this attitude wherever they go. And that is why they get into trouble wherever they go.
I can only speak for Yoruba as Chimamanda can only speak for Ibo people. I know that we built our communities on enduring values which Ibos seem unable to comprehend. We built our communities on honesty, trust, kings and gods- multiples of them, many being our elevated ancestral heroes. If you are not Yoruba it is easy for you to trample on these values - especially if you have decided not to care . It will be infuriating for us to watch you trample over those values on the basis of your claim that "I can do anything anywhere in Nigeria because I am Nigerian". Yes you theoretically can but a man who dances out of synch to a music he does not understand will look like nothing else but a madman. When you have many madmen on the loose in your house and dancing to their own mad music, the community should panic.
Is it true that being Nigerian qualifies you to take anything from anywhere in Nigeria ? If you believe so, you may not be better than just any other terrorist. Chimamanda may put her argument on the basis of " what is done in civilised Western countries". But the fact is that we have more complex political structures in our many tribal communities , and they are the strings which keep us from falling apart culturally. It is for our own good that they must remain there. Citizenship does not anywhere empower you to do as wish without being questioned. Even Obama got reminded of his Kenyan roots as he strived to become president of USA. And for those like Chimamanda who live outside Nigeria, they are never foolish enough not to know that , no matter how long you, a Nigerian , have stayed in another country and you may even have become a citizen, a day is coming that an event will make you wish that you never left your country. The same applies with Nigerians living away from their cultural roots even inside Nigeria - always have it with you that you do not have a place of rest. Lagos is not no man's land , Kano is not no man's land . Enugu is not no man's land. They were founded on distinct cultural values of original settlers. To offend those values will be locally considered a great deal of disrespect .
The problem with people like Chimamanda is that she probably believes that people who either have not attained, do not understand, or do not care about her position, posture and values are unintelligent illiterates. It is always the sad message we get from our narrow-minded literary icons. Please let us be sensitive to the feelings of other people. Politics and creative writing are not very compatible .
I know chimamanda very well ,PLEASE WHO ARE YOU

Interesting but even as an igbo man here I know agbaje and Co are trying to capitalize on the big mouth of the the monarch, but in my opinion people should ignore the old man and vote ambode in Lagos for continuity in the governance of Lagos, now that Lagos has a chance to work together with the FG.

What if I told you it does not. APC have development masterplan for lagos covering all areas of the state's economy up to the next 20 year which are already unfolding in phases. This development master plan include power generation which right now is at about 45MW powering all government operations all over Lagos ranging from The secretatiat in Alausa, Lagos State Hospitals and Healthcare Service Commission, The Judiciary, The Legislators, Waterworks in Akute, Water works in Lakki axis etc. Its only a matter of time before Lagos turns to London or US. PDP has no plan. Only Bold Failures.

Now tell me why you thought its heading same way.
Please stop this exaggeration already, you speak as if you designed and at the same heading this utopian plan, why lie with such gumption
Politics / Re: Ambode And Jimi Agbaje: A Comparison by kamer: 3:56pm On Apr 08, 2015

You either got it twisted or you are mischievous. Ambode is not a politician under fashola. He was more or less a civil servant who rose through the rank and file to become the Accountant General and Permanent Secretary. Neither was he sacked as you claim. He retired after a meritorious service to Lagos state, to set up a consultancy services firm. That is how you guys said Buhari had no WAEC but now, NTA-your mouth piece now says Buhari is a Master's Degree Holder.

Mind you, there is nothing wrong with being a pharmacist but because you are biased you now claim pharmacy is nobler than Accounting as a profession. There is non of them that is second to the other. It all depend on what you do with them. Jimi Agbaje obviously did nothing of record with his pharmacy training and I wonder why? Stella Okoli build Emzor Phamaceuticals Limited in Aswani, Isolo. They manufacture tablets, syrup and injectibles while she employs Hundreds of staff. Jimi agbaje is dispensing drugs in Apapa with a similar training.

What Ambode has done with his Accounting training is in public domain
Unless I am missing something, he served for 27yrs and retired at 49yrs. I tot it should have been either u served for 35yrs or retire at 65yrs...my brother look well something is fishy

It goes without saying my Sister. Do you also know that the Chemist Shop employs just about 6 people after operating for 30 years. I wonder how Jimi Agbaje hopes to run Lagos State Exco, civil service, parastatals, etc, especially now that PDP has lost in the centre, they will eat up lagos revenue without thinking.
Please how many people are on Ambode's payroll, upon all d money he stole for 27years, at least no one is associating jk with stolen govt funds, can we say same of ambode...CV koh..how many buhari get?

who was ambode before he joined the government, I think that will be a faire point of comparison, FYI ambode was not part of Lagos
success, that success was under fashola and let us not forget that mr fash sacked him, that tells a lot about him...you did not including his sacking in the CV. Please get some education a pharmacy is not a chemist shop, pharmacists anywhere in d world to me a far more noble than accountant..bank thieves

On a fairer note, the north deserves a new state, but why did GEJ had to mention that to score a political point.

Such comment is divisible, not necessary when the polity is volatile now.
do you know that north has 19 states with north west having 7? states while the south has 17 with SE having 5. SO if you want to be fair, who deserves another state

what has land mass and Population got to do with state creation? whats the population and land mass of Rhode island compared to the population Of texas?
Whats the population and land mass of Delaware compared to that of California?
Bringing it back home whats the population and land mass of Ekiti or Bayelsa compared to Lagos or Oyo?
The two are diametrically opposed,

States in Nigeria are created based on Geopolitical zones All other zones have 6 or more states Except the South East, That's an imbalance that needs to be corrected as it affects the political well being and milieu of the SE in terms of federal representation as they have less ministerial Appointment, Less house of representative members, less Senators, Less federal Allocation etc compared to geopolitical zones with 6 or more states.

Kwankwaso as usual is reasoning like a true "born to rule" imperialist that believes that the South of the country is supposed to be enslaved by the North with no Rights at all, But too bad for him Nigeria of today is not the Nigeria of the 70's, 80's or 90's where the "born to rule" did as they pleased with no one to challenge them. Kwankwaso and his fellow born to rule should wake up and smell the coffee, we are in a New Nigeria where the reasoning and Attitudes of the past is best left in the past.

Going forward every Nigerian must be treated with respect, equity and justice irrespective of where they come from, The Enjoyment of majority status in the Nigerian congress by the NW where Kwankwaso is from is sweet for him, Having and equal strength in the SE will be justice granted, for what is good for the Goose is equally good for the Gander!
Long live Nigeria
Long live GEJ
Viva the new SE state!
God bless you for this!!!
