sofi05: Pls,how much did charge for the infant? They didn't give a breakdown. I initially wanted my infant to have a seat because he turns two few days before the trip. When the ticket came and he was booked as an infant, I decided to take it like that because I know that they will charge extra for him to have a seat. |

I am now looking at either melbourne or sydney. Inspire of all I said, it's generally harder to secure a job when you are offshore. In my case I used Skype to get an Australian landline number which is presently on my resume and using a friend's address in Perth. I would be relocating by early 2018. I hope this helps. Cheers
I think I should explore this option. How did you get the line via Skype pls
|

jayooh: Good day famz, please for those who have assessed experience or provided proof of employment iduring assessment with EA, is my employment letter and pension statement adequate enough? I'm writing an episode based on work experience now. Meanwhile the pension is the monthly or quarterly email statement from my PFA and it uses pin so I will need to tell the assessor the pin for opening the doc . You will also need your pay slips and tax payment verification records. You can scan the front and back of your tax ID card as well. For your PFA, put in your pin, print the document And then scan in colour. You don't need to give your pin to your assessor. My pay slips come with pin and this is what I did. Hope this helps. |

Another strategy I adopted was to apply for the exact position I held while in Nigeria, since this matched the position being advertised, I guess it was easy for the recruiter to sell my profile to the client. All the glory belongs to God
Words of wisdom! Thank you for this. |

balogz: thank you bro and do you think it's advisable to use a certified true copy of my transcript for assessment. At the moment I only have a photocopy of my transcript with me and my university has been under lock for quite sometimes. Speaking from experience, just upload the transcript you have at the moment. Your assessor will most likely get back to you asking you to request for a transcript from your school to be sent straight to EA in care of him/her (the assessor). Most likely you will be given enough time to do that but if the time is not enough, reply the assessor and explain reasons why you need more time. I advise you start thinking of how to process the transcript now. |

balogz: Thank you and what Wud u consider as a well written CDR? First step, Download the EA MSA brochure. Go through it carefully. Look through what is expected of you in your area of engineering expertise. Then you have to make sure that your career episodes demonstrates ALL that is expected of you in your area of expertise. Do not ignore any aspect. All the best. |

Crystalline24: Hello Bellong, I'm in the process of submitting a request for assessment to EA. I noticed a field where CDR is uploaded which asks for evidence of membership of professional organisation. I have a B.Eng in Civil Engineering with more than 5 years work experience. I have not referenced registration with a professional body as part of my Continuing Development. Please advise if non membership of a professional organization such as NSE and/or COREN would not impact the outcome of an EA assessment provided I'm able to demonstrate alternative opportunities that I have leveraged to keeping abreast with my qualification. Best- Hi, in my opinion, like lalaazo said, do a registration with NSE if you can. It makes your packaging tight. That's what I did and it worked for me. There's a place where they ask you to upload evidence of membership to professional bodies. Won't look nice to leave that place blank and you claim you have practicing. Hope you catch my drift? All the best! |

Background: B.Tech - Computer Engineering. M.Tech (inveiw 2018) Electrical/Electronics Engineering. Work experience (Including NYSC) - 5years + Age - 30years
Now thinking of migrating to Australia.
Questions: 1. What is the best/easy visa for me? 2. What will it cost (visa+flight ticket+living cost alteast for 3months before I get a job; all in Naira pls; just an estimate) me to migrate to Australia having choosing the type of visa. 3. I'm looking at career in IT, Electrical.... can I get those jobs easily? 4. When is the best time to apply? Now? 5. How long will it take for the whole process (from visa application to approval).
Regards.

catchdwind4rmkd: Hahaaaa.... Chemical Engineers are now topping the GRANT chart... It almost felt like EEE, IT and Computer were the selling point. Make I rejoice for the many Chemical Engineers moment of fame here And Melbourne is now a top destination even with the bribery of Jamson to pull people to Sydney.
Congrats bro. Better things ahead... I'm in Melbourne and quite a few others who were mentioned in few pages back. Thanks and Amen. Will holla you soon. |

You know that kind of thing that God will do for you...that you will be asking yourself if you are dreaming?... Grant came On the 12th Sept (looks like there was a harvest of grants that day! That moment you realize that your status went from 'Received' to 'Finalised'. No CO contact! The story is long but my timeline will give a summary
IELTS - 04th Aug 2016 (L8/R6.5/W6.5/S7). I took IELTS for Canadian express entry. AS the wait was looking to long, i decided to Port to Aussie this year.
Took PTE exam on the 22nd of Feb 2017
PTE result came on the 23rd of Feb 2017 (L90/R73/S77/W90). Just good enough for the 10 points I needed.
EA application submitted - 09th March 2017 (used my IELTS)
EA outcome came out positive on the 18th of May 2017.
Lodged EOI 22nd May 2017 (65 points, Chem Eng) Got ITA 23rd of May 2017 Got PCC on the 25th of May 2017 Visa application lodged on the 02nd of June Medical on the 09th of June 2017 Direct Grant on the 12th of Sept 2017
Who else could have done this if not God?? Thanks to everyone who took out time to ask questions. I didn't ask questions here because most of the questions I would have asked were already asked and answered by other people. All I had to do was read and relate to my situation. Thanks to those that answered questions, God bless you! Those still waiting, there's light at the end of the tunnel... Movement tips needed o. Who is in Melbourne?? |

bornlegend: Thanks Zany,
I got my letter, the extract is attached here Since you have already been assessed positively, I think you can only claim points for the classification which you have been assessed. QA and engineering tech don't relate. That's what I think. Alternatively, work on your english score to bag more points ask you dont need to claim experience. Make others help you torchlight the matter. |

Occasionally i sneeze so hard that I'm scared it could affect LO. Do you think its worth seeing my doctor for? N/B it does not affect my sleep. Am not sure anything can, hubby calls me sleepy sleepy wife. Pele....I had cold for the whole 9 months of pregnancy. It stopped immediately after delivery. It's part of the package. It's nothing to worry about, vit c is okay but u can complain to your doctor on your next clinic day. Happy bumping! |
