Remember that the officers in George Floyd's case were arrested due to social pressure.

Bah was hoping something similar- like a retrial or extra appeal- would be done in his name. One moniker here even put the hashtag #justiceforbah on her profile.

In the UK, there is a Nigerian man who had his life sentences reduced to about 15 years because his brother is a celebrity(santan Dave)

Imagine how far that could have snowballed if not for the Americans that had inside information about his case.

Too late for all that.

This is an old case. Social media outrage? On what basis? Sentiments? Remember B.O.A represented himself AT SOME POINT IN THE TRIA AFTER FIRING SERIES OF ATTORNEYS? The most damaging thing you can EVER do to your case.

The only thing that can help is MONEY. Money to use by a high-powered attorney to pick the case bit by bit and turn the verdict on its head to get a lesser sentence.

Are there no Nigerian lawyers on social media?
It is best to have an attorney lead the campaign because THEY KNOW MORE about the case.

But with what is in those transcripts? All you can do is plead down the sentence NOT THE CONVICTION.
There are NO NEW EVIDENCES to produce in this case remember?

As for social media outrage, this case has TRANSCRIPTS. Many have read them but many Nigerians and NLanders will NEVER read them.

Last week, a lady made a comment about how his father abandoned her, her siblings and her mother at their lowest while the man was busy philandering. Now, the man is weak and sick but need financial support from the lady. The lady decided not to help him and I see nothing wrong in it.

So many men will go out to spend on other women meanwhile the kids and wife are starving at home. When such man have health challenges, him, his family and the society will want and expect the neglected wife and kids to care for him. That's wrong, hypocritical and wicked!

The kids were never in the spotlight because the guy never put them online before the crime was committed. You shouldn't drag them into it. Their father committed the crime, not them.

The victim and her family were in the spotlight because there was no other way around it. I mean, you can't be in a victim's position and be in hiding or under the radar. You need to be in the forefront to fight for justice, supported by your family and friends.

Life does not work like that. You can't drag someone's child out in public by defiling her and then protect yours. No one cares really. But what are they being protected from? Reality? The sooner they learn to live it, the better. Early therapy is a good thing.

This thread started as A CAMPAIGN DRIVE. . . which people mistook for a 'support' for a rapist. WRONG!

The family speaking on the incident does not constitute a campaign on only level. If at all, it should be on the level of apologizing or supporting the victim and her family. Why must every interaction be termed under a 'campaign'?

You can come out and relate with the incident and perhaps we can get an incite on this psyche of the perpetrator. It would give some humanity to his existence. Simple!

All people were trying to do was to give another chance to re-visit a conviction and look at what evidence the convict had been sharing. Does that mean you are supporting a sex-offender, fraudster or criminal? NO!

You only did that because of your emotional investment in the case(some where insinuating financial gain). . . .gosh! Who wants financial gain from a convict whose funds are probably depleted to minus ZERO balance due to legal fees?

I'm sure he's got a family somewhere in Nigeria or anywhere else. You must understand that he might have been an eyesore to his family right from his early days, hence the reason he was abandoned by them, most especially when the case is an international one.

It seems he's got kids also, I really can't remember. The main thing is that, nobody wants to associate themselves with a sex offender, and not even when it happened on the U.S. soil. Imagine a young guy living in Nigeria and hope to go for study or anything abroad now being the main campaigner for the release of a sex offender with strong evidence against him.

The U.S. is always watching every moves, so it's best not to jeopardize one's future for a sex offender.
