If he needed money that desperately, why didn't he absorb the private placement oversubscription? The guy already said he wanted 10million shareholders. Why do you also think he is personally funding some shareholders to subscribe? Of course, it is because he needed more shareholders. That's why he is encouraging people to buy 10 units and also funding a media campaign.

Again if he was desperate for cash, he could have done listing by introduction and many institutional investors will be willing to take a bite of the pie.

By the way, no dollar billionaire has $1B cash sitting anywhere. Why would anyone keep such cash?
