We won't believe until we see it in b&w PETERiCHY: https://businesspost.ng/economy/oando-reports-windfall-as-buyers-shift-from-middle-east-oil/
Nigerian energy giant, Oando Plc, says it is reporting rising revenues as global crude buyers increasingly turn away from the volatile Middle East in search of safer supply sources.
According to the chief executive of Oando, Mr Wale Tinubu, the crisis around the Strait of Hormuz has damaged the Gulf region’s long-standing reputation as the world’s safest and most reliable oil-producing hub, leading to demand elsewhere.
Speaking in a recent interview on the sidelines of the Africa CEO Forum in Kigali, Rwanda, Mr Tinubu disclosed that Oando is already benefiting financially from the geopolitical tensions. |

At this rate I don't think 10% will be enough. PP already booked $2bn (that's 4% of $50bn). Which means only 6% will be made available via IPO... mikeapollo: This thing Alhaji is doing with the refinery IPO may affect Nigerians negatively. He is listing just about 10 percent and is opening the floodgates to everybody?. Nigerians are his number one customers and investors Who is Alhaji trying to impress? How many companies in other countries have done this for Nigerians? If he wants to open it up, then he should offer 30 percent or more to the public so that Nigerians can have more

To add, RSA PF has assets of $300+ bn compared to Nigeria PFA with circa $18bn... ogawisdom: Big Money Is Not Emotional. Look At This: They are the largest pension fund in Africa. They are owned by the South African Government. They represent 1.2 Million South Africans who invested in the Pension Fund. They are Going to Invest in Dangote Refinery. Dangote is planning a cross border IPO. They want to list Dangote Refinery in multiple African Exchanges. Everyone is positioning. The big players are making big moves. The South African Government sent delegates to Nigeria to meet Dangote as a show of interest. They didn’t check social media to see if you and I approve this move. No. At the top, Big Money Moves With Data, not Emotions. There is NO DEMOCRACY IN BUSINESS. Your opinion doesn’t matter here.
And let me leak this secret: DANGOTE CEMENT is partly owned by the South African Government through the same Pension Fund. The Chinese Government also has huge interest in Dangote Cement.
When next you think about Nigeria-South Africa Relations, do not worry about Social Media sentiments. Observe how their Big Funds and Big Money are moving. Follow their Big Players. Recently, a Nigerian Billionaire, Bayo Ogunlesi committed to invest $500 Million in South Africa. President Ramaphosa hosted him. Social media screamed “let him invest that money in Nigeria”. Big Money doesn’t check social media. Today, South African Pension Funds are doing the same in Nigeria.

Premium pain IyaTola: The last time Arsenal F.C. lifted the Premier League trophy in 2004…
Apple Inc. stock was just $0.48 a share.
If you had invested just $50 back then, you’d have over $35,000 today.
Meanwhile Arsenal fans have invested:
22 years
47 “next season is ours”
13 conspiracy theories about referees
and 6,000 heart attacks
…for a grand return of: “Top 4 secured 🔥” 😭💔 |
