SAHCO has a smaller % free float compared to NAHCO. This makes it easier for the majority holders to manipulate the SP. From my amateur view, I don't see anything in the financials to warrant it trading above NAHCO... Stockhunter: If SAHCO keeps flying above nahco it will favour those in Nahco. Cos there will be pressure on the MM of nahco. How their small bros come de pass them. Like wise when wapco tries to catch bua cement. |

Many didn't read the Press Release. The acquisition of additional 40% stake in ND Western (which ultimately adds 20% to ARADEL stake in RAEC) was NOT included in the FY'25 because it was sealed on 31 December 2025. Q1'26 will give us an estimate of the impact... yMcy56: ARADEL in last minute leap... Closed @850 This is what we are saying, that sometimes some people's analysis are not always indepth....

I agree with you on this. However, we cannot rule out the antecedents of FOte$... Raider76: I like the way Otedola marketed FIRSTHOLDCO after the release of the seemingly bad results. It shows that maybe now Nigerian corporate leaders are taking the stock prices of their companies more seriously than before when they were only satisfied with just milking the companies to the bone. |

Kindly confirm the page you got the bolded from emmaodet: Honestly, i am not really impressed with the result. 70% of the profit before tax comes from ''other income'' and ''share of profit from associate'' They have a worrying receivables of 2.56 trillion, borrowing ballooned to 1.7 trillion from just 40 billion previous year, decommissioning liabilities of 3.35t, payables increased from 120b to 2.9 trillion. In the share holders equity, non-controlling interest is now above 50%. Ever since they came to Ngx, i think they have learnt the act of playing with the books unlike them. |
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by KarlTom: 11:51am On Feb 04 |
In addition, - share of profits from associates rose sharply by 523% to ₦197.0 billion (FY 2024: ₦31.6 billion). ND Western (41.67% direct interest and an additional 20.8% through RAEC) accounted for ₦138.5bn. Now ARADEL holds 81.7% and 53.33% in ND Western and RAEC respectively... - other income for FY 2025 amounted to ₦219.1 billion (FY 2024: loss of ₦9.0 billion), primarily reflecting the gain on bargain purchase following the acquisition of an additional 40% equity interest in ND Western Limited. Oasisblue: Lol. How do you folks interprete financial results? You call this not good? Really? The balance sheet has moved from a mid-cap profile to a mega-cap powerhouse. Total Assets: Surged by 495% to ₦10.42 trillion (FY 2024: ₦1.75 trillion). Property, Plant & Equipment (PPE): Jumped to ₦5.01 trillion from ₦676.6 billion, reflecting the acquisition of productive oil and gas assets. Decommissioning Liabilities: Increased significantly to ₦1.46 trillion, a long-term obligation associated with the newly acquired fields. Total Equity: More than doubled to ₦3.48 trillion, primarily due to the addition of non-controlling interests from the new subsidiaries. |

This has the workings of motivation. However, good luck to those already inside... ositadima1: Ellah Lakes isn’t exactly failing, but it’s also not really operating at scale yet. Most of what’s on the balance sheet is still tied to development, not steady cash flow. The company is spending more cash than it’s earning, and unless costs are cut sharply and one part of the business starts generating real income soon, more funding or dilution looks likely.
Anyone looking at it as a short-term earnings or quick turnaround story may want to go through the numbers again.
Numbers first, narratives later. -- ositadima1 |
