Towerofgrace: Kataleya, you are welcome, may your stay be short and fruitful.
i would advice you give it a while before u visit a gynea, most times being tensed up and anxious has a way of affecting the body and makes it go awol which is why it is advised to always be relaxed and try as much as possible to get TTC off ones mind, we have heard testimonies from "when i wasn't thinking of it" happen to a lot of mamas. Most docs will tell you to give it a year of actively trying before they will attend to you.
But that said, do you have any under lying issue to make you want to see a doc? seeing tissue in AF could be normal as you uterine linning sheds as part of AF which could attimes be visible since pregnancy did not occur that is why it is possible to have AF and not Ovulate. Also do you know how to calculate or check ur fertile period i.e ovulation? Having a 25days cycle means u would ovulate probably 3 days earlier than in a normal 28days cycle all things being equal. Have you been on any prenatal supplements? has your cycle always been 25days? Thanks Towerofgrace , i feel uplifted already. My cycle was 28 but changed to 25 last year reasons unknown. I was taking folic acid 40mg but stopped when af came. Also i am confused abt my days of ovulation. i used to know when i ovulate but now i cant even tell from cm cos its almost same altru |

Good morning mothers and fathers of nations. I have been following this thread silently for some time now. I made a post yesterday but it was hidden. This is my 5th month of marriage and i ve bee actively trying for 3 mnths. Last month i had pregnancy symptoms but af came when due (day 25) and i chalked those signs up to anxiety. But i noticed some tissue residue on my pad. This month, i had signs ( metallic taste, crampong, tiredness, tender breast) and period was late only for it to show up yesterday amist severe cramping and sighting of same tissue (not clots) . I am convinced i was pregnant but 4 some reason the baby did not stay. Has anybody had similar experience? . Can someone refer me to a good hospital that's not too expensive in abuja? thanks all |

Eyah i feel 4 you. That's the major issue in abuja- accommodation. Most people are wicked and constantly look for ways to exploit others and to them a single girl with challenges like you is fair game. my advice would be to try and get a place in the suburbs like nyanya , maraba etc. Houses in these areas are quite cheap compared to town. In the meantime u can solicit help from your church at home, that is if you are close to the pastor as he can link you up with a branch here. Jst take heart ok, its part of life's experience. |

Starx: Hello dear, I'm sorry I'm just now getting back to you. The one thing I've noticed from personal use is that when I use shea butter in the sunlight, I get browner. But as a moisturizer before bed (it helps locks moisture in your skin or hair for longer), it doesn't have any effect on my pigmentation or on those of close friends. Do you use your shea butter in the sunlight? I would recommend shea butter, only before bed. During the day, a light moisturizer (lotions and body creams that do not contain harmful ingredients, used lightly of course) would be great for the skin. Heavy butters like shea and cocoa encourage tanning when used with exposure to sunlight.
What do you currently use during the day, dear? tanx so much for your help. I'm even sharing your regimen with friends that suffer from acne and there's been improvement. I use my body cream Extract for my face but am not comfortable with it. I think I need a day time moisturizer. I started mixing it with coconut oil though and still waiting for results |

Starx: Hello there, great to know these have been helpful
I usually don't use regular makeup. But from watching videos of makeup tutorials, I often notice the cream (that is, the cream you use during the day) works as a moisturizer and comes just before the foundation/concealer. From what you said, it would seem like you have an acne prone skin. A light, non-greasy cream would be great as a moisturizer while not being heavy enough to clog your pores. Also, exfoliate regularly, clean up make-up carefully at the end of everyday and use a light moisturizer before bed. It would reduce the possibility of your pores getting clogged and causing breakouts.
Hope this was helpful, dear it really was helpful, tanx so much. one more thing, I am following your regimen and I my skin is smoother and softer but am also darker how can I lighten up cos I dnt want to stop using sheabutter. Also would you recommend sheabutter as a light moisturizer like you suggested? tanx |
