Crime18-year-old Girl Attempts Suicide After Being Dumped By Her Rapper Boyfriend by kates101(op): 9:28am On Sep 08, 2016
According to reports, this young lady attempted to kill herself over Ghanaian rapper, Criss Waddle. The girl, who resides in Tech area of Kumasi, reportedly met Waddle on Instagram. They became friends but on learning her age, Criss reportedly told her she was too young to date him.

This did not deter the girl, who was simply identified as Mary. Her persistence finally paid off and the singer asked her to visit him. Investigations show that Mary visited the singer severally in his Tema and Prampram residences where both had bouts of s*x.

On one of her visits, Mary asked waddle to take pictures with her and upload them on social media. He obliged but things took a turn when the photos were met with a barrage of insults by Waddle’s fans. She reportedly called Waddle and told him she could not bear the insults and resorted to attempting suicide.

When asked if he knew the girl, Waddle admitted knowing and meeting her but denied being in a relationship with her.

In his words: “After taking the pics, I showed the pictures to her and ask if I could post the images on my social media page. She agreed and afterwards fans started insulting her. She called me and was complaining to the extent she threatened to do something to herself. Her friend also called but I told her she is not my kind of girl because it looks like she has so many dates.”

CareerHow To Survive The Nigerian Economic Crises by kates101(op): 4:04pm On Sep 05, 2016
The Nigerian economy hasn’t been fair lately. There has been an increase in fuel price lately; dollar is on the high side. Food stuffs are very expensive in the market. The economy is really hard and the masses are complaining bitterly. This is not a period to panic, but a period to calm down and plan on how to survive the harsh economy. We have to learn to manage the situation.

Here are some tips on how to survive the economy:

Avoid being in debt:

What this mean is that you try as much as possible not to be a debtor (avoid borrowing money from people). Always pay cash, avoid buying thing on credit (buy now, pay later). If you don’t have enough money to purchase what you want to purchase, leave it for when you have enough money to avoid incurring more debts. The more you buy things without paying, the more the debt accumulate continuously and u will find it difficult to pay up because you now find the amount too large and you find it difficult paying up. Also avoid bank loans that you won’t be able to pay up at the appointed time. If you have already incurred a debt, try as much as possible to pay it up. Make out a plan on how to pay up your debts.

Be content with what you have:

Always be content with what you have. Cut your coat according to size. It’s a crazy world where most people want to show off. Don’t imitate people, always be you. Don’t do things because people are doing them. He has an expensive car, she is wearing designers clothing; with this kind of economy, don’t try to own things you can’t afford. This is one reason why there are lots of debts. So always check your pockets and go for things you can afford. Avoid buying things you want and buy things you need. It’s more like making a scale of preference where all your unsatisfied wants are arranged in order of their importance, and then the most pressing want is what you go for.

Create a budget list:

You have to learn how to create a budget list. At the beginning of every month you make a budget on how you will spend your money. It’s easier said than done, making a budget is one thing, implementing it is another thing. Always try to implement your budget because when you do, it makes things easier for you. If you have been spending all your income to sustain your lifestyle, you will find it hard on planning how to survive the harsh economy. A budget can help you know your financial status and how to spend your income. Also try not to spend outside your budget. Learn to also save money from your budget. It has been recommended by experts to save at least 10% of your total income. If you practice saving every month, it will help you throughout your life time.

Tackling unemployment:

Some companies have folded as a result of the economic crisis while some have lain off some of their workers due to the same reason. Every year a great number of students graduate from universities in different parts of the country, increasing the rate of unemployment. Unemployment can be tackled if we can be self employed. There are lots of self employed jobs like event planning, fashion designing, graphic design, blogging etc. You can start up a self employed job that you have passion for; it will go a long way to help us.

CrimeRe: Guy Hangs Himself At Aboru, Lagos Due To No Money To Pay House Rent Feed Family by kates101(op): 2:49pm On Sep 05, 2016
[quote author=kates101 post=49091937]The hardship in the country, under this administration, has really frustrated a lot of people, especially those who can no longer meet their daily needs.

It is only in advanced countries where you see millionaires committing suicide due to some issues we count as trivial. Reverse is the case here.

Hunger and extreme poverty has made many people take all kind of drastic decisions. Some has resulted into rubbery, kidnapping, rituals and so many other illegal and inhuman means of making money, just to survive.

For some, they have taken a far worst decision of taking their own lives.

This boy killed himself because no money to pay house rent and feed family. This happened at Aboru, Lagos.
