7. Focus on the fun. Too often we get wrapped up in the expectations we set for ourselves. We focus on the details and the to-do lists instead of what is most important. What do you love to do? What makes you smile? If money were limitless, what would you be doing today? 8.Push past fear. It’s so seductive to tell ourselves that’s we’ll go after what we want when we have more experience, more money, or more time, but the truth is, that will never happen. We must identify these excusesas masks for our fear. It’s only when we get clear on our fears and recognize how it is holding us back, we can begin moving forward. |
4. Cultivate confidence. If we are continually telling ourselves we can’t, then we will never believe we can. There is a chance you may fail, but it will be impossible to succeed if you don’t believe in yourself. You can create affirmations, focus on the things you want, or make a vision board that shows your future success. 5.Find the themes. Recognizing the recurring themes in our lives creates a pattern for us to either follow or change. What themes or lessons seem to constantly surface in your life? What are you drawn to again and again? What areas of life seem to be full of discomfort and pain? What areas are full of joy and light? 6. Write. Ideas flow more freely when we write without an agenda. New inspiration may appear unexpectedly and it becomes easier to connect the dots. Spend a few minutes of quality time each day with a pen and paper allowing yourself to process your thoughts without influence from the outside world. |
1. Slow down. When we slow down, we are able to tap into the best version of ourselves, which is most often when we find the answers we’ve been searching for. This might mean practicing yoga, going for daily walks, or setting aside time each day to meditate. Slowing down allows you to quiet the outside voices and listen to yourself. 2. Change your story. We all tell ourselves stories about who we are, what we’re capable of, and what we deserve. If we can identify our self-limiting stories (I’m not good enough; I don’t deserve to be happy, etc.), then we can begin writing new stories that are grounded in confidence and courage, and map out actions that move us from one to the other. 3.Own your uniqueness. We are here for a reason. No one else has your unique blend of talents, wisdom, strengths, skills, and creativity. We all have something great to offer, and learning to accept and own what makes you unique is crucial to sharing your gifts with the world |
Fidelity Bank Plc, Skye Bank Plc and Heritage Bank are among the five banks shortlisted to buy Enterprise Bank by the Asset Management Corporation, a source close to the deal disclosed to our correspondent on Wednesday. AMCON sources and top bank executives told our correspondent on Tuesday that any of the five banks might emerge the final buyer of the nationalised bank. Enterprise Bank is one of the three nationalised banks created after the 2009 banking crisis, which saw the nationalisation of Afribank Plc, Bank PHB Plc and Spring Bank Plc. The three bridge banks created from the failed banks are Enterprise Bank, Mainstreet Bank and Keystone Bank. “It is quite a very fierce and keen final contest. But at least one of the five banks will buy Enterprise Bank. But Fidelity Bank, Skye Bank and Heritage Bank are among the top contenders,” a source close to the deal told our correspondent under the condition of anonymity because he was not authorised to speak on the matter. The Managing Director, AMCON, Mr. Chike-Obi, had in an exclusive interview with our correspondent on Tuesday, said the successful buyer of Enterprise Bank would be announced next week, possibly on Monday |

Lagos – Some health experts on Thursday urged members of the public to stop open defecation to reduce the burden of communicable diseases, especially in the challenging times of Ebola Virus Disease (EVD). In interviews in Lagos, they described open defecation as a major cause of many water-borne, food-borne and environmental diseases. Dr Femi Ajayi, a Public Health Consultant, said that open defecation had become a common, but worrisome practice in Nigeria.ok “We see people defecating directly into the lagoon in the open. They do it under the bridges, on the walkways and as a matter of fact, any available space. “This practice not only pollutes the soil and water resources, it pollutes the environment and the air we breathe in and gives room for the spread of avoidable diseases. “Again, most homes have poor and inadequate sewage systems, thereby making human waste disposal difficult. “Often times, faecal water and matters seep out of these sewages. These are hazardous to health,’’ he said. Also, Dr Taiwo Oguntoyin, a Public Health Officer, said that poor toilet and sanitation habits had many negative consequences on human health. “Poor toilet and sanitary habits affect the physical, mental, social and economic wellbeing of individuals |

UjSizzle: Nne I only brought that up because you talked about the afterlife and peace.I agree with you but you will find out that if I am comfortable now, there are many sins I can avoid( unless if am not discipline which is a different thing all together) and that will make it easier for me to make heaven but lack of money can lead you into doing funny things in the name of being desperate. We are not neglecting God o, I just like using our everyday life to site example, alot has change from Jesus's time to our present day lives |
UjSizzle: And temptations cease when you are rich? What was it Jesus said about the rich man, camels and needles again?Forget what happened during Jesus's time and face reality, a rich man or rather a comfortable man is not prone to petty temptations like, i stole the money to pay my children's school fees or hospital bill or i slept with him because of my house rent, there are things you can avoid when you are comfortable and responsible, your goal will be towards achieving greatness and that can make you honest and good, if you are contended |
makazona: caught hmmmmingyou are very funny ![]() |
makazona: caught red-handeddoing what |
I will go for money, money can give you peace to some extend but if you are looking for total peace of mind, you cannot find it in this our present day world unless when you die and when you make heaven and you cant make heaven when you are too poor because temptations will surround you |
Hmmmm |
kobonaire: Depression is real. It knows no ethnicity, race, gender or skin colour. One should not feel bad/embarrassed about being depressed. Seek the necessary help. If you know a friend or family member that is depressed, please try and help out while ensuring you do so in a sensitive and empathetic manner.where and how can we seek help |
