nawaful is not obligatory but contribution or voluntary. If you are conducting it like a jamaah, the most important thing is that the wife is not ahead of you because of the injuction of its impermissibility. So if you are a couple, a good enough space as much as it is necessary depending on the size of your prayer space is necessary. As long as she is not so far back that you do have to shout quite loudly for her to hear you and she cant be so close that when you ruku all you can see is her and her charms that so much may attract you that will make your mind go to her!

Infact, if I were to be in that condition, I will have her leave at least a span of space that is nothing short of her stretched arm between us. That way I will not see her at all, when I make my ruku. And she will not have to be close to me that she wil touch my body as she ruku or sajdah. the most important thing is that the mind is focused to Allah in Salah, as much as possible without husband and wife distracting each other taking away from the concentration, instead of being supporter now as a fitna for each other!

let us be realistic, the prophet (SAW) could only be celebrated by following the message he(SAW) preached not by throwing party or means of fund raising.
May I ask, how many of the pple that organize party fast on monday which was the practice of the holy prophet(SAW)?
I think what we should do most is to spread the virtues of the prophet(SAW) to revive/revert most of our brothers who have missed their way from the true part.
