overlord77: Thanks everyone. I submitted today at DHL office. Paid 11k5 for delivery to VFS Lagos. Then another 20k250 to VFS Global logistics for return delivery to me. Transmission fee was not paid since I still have a valid Biometric, which i did in 2017 In my case I did my Biometrics in Abuja last year and submitted my passport in the same Abuja . I had my yellow Biometrics slip with me but I was still asked to pay transmissions fee despite my yellow slip...the reason the guy gave me was that the Biometrics was done for a previous application. I just paid it to avoid their wahala...Thankfully I've collected my passport although I noticed that no one else has had this experience. |

kwameoro: Don't worry you will get another message, mine was like that for 2 weeks.
I got a mail for passport collection in Lagos 2 weeks after the first message. Funny enough my wife's and children's passports were ready for collection 6 days after submission though we submitted the same day.
You will get another mail soon. Just relax Thanks a lot. |

charmingsamson: I understand I don’t submit references letters from my bank. I plan to go to my bank and print new statements and references letter addressing to the Canada immigration Go to the bank and request for "mybankstatement" which should be sent directly to the Canadian embassy...I hope that helps. You can also write a letter of Explanation stating that all the funds are yours and not borrowed If u made any lump payment into the account...you have to explain the source with adequate receipts to show that its not borrowed funds. Wish you God's Grace. |

Sundjata: Okay. Please apply for GCMS Notes ASAP.
This might seem useless (it might not even work) but I've seen it work on two different occasions: Considering that their reason for refusal isn't something serious or damaging, please write a well-worded, cordial letter to the processing office, challenging their reasons for refusal, and explaining your Purpose of Visit in line with a temporary stay, making them see you and your spouse's intention and plan to leave Canada at the end of his legally assigned stay in Canada. The only thing is, considering he/she has 6 months left in his study permit, I don't know if it's reasonable to mention his intentions to apply for a Postgraduate Work Permit.
Thanks a lot |

Fill the vfs consent form Go with the biometric slip and passport Print out the passport request letter Go the vfs btw 8 and 10in the morning...you do not need to book an appointment. When u get there...u may or may not need to pay for courier to return the passport.
In my case ...they asked me to pay because the passport wasn't mine.
Thanks what I know...however u can check back...someone has dropped a detailed explanation on this. Plus photocopy of the passport data page |

MUNCHY1: My people!!!
My God has answered oooooooo. How do people who get PPR at night sleep? 😃 Please what position do they use. God has done it.
PPR!!!!! My God is indeed good and kind.
My timeline: Submitted 9th Nov We had biometric from a visitor’s visa application submitted in June 2022. After waiting for 5 months, we decided to put in SOWP.
Eligibility started 29th Jan 2023 Medicals passed 29th Jan 2023 Medicals changed to we do not need medical exam, we will let you know bla bla bla 3rd Jan 2023, apparently our medicals expired.
4th Jan GCMS notes received and indicated “Review Required” on my eligibility for a document they claim my spouse didn’t submit. Apparently it was submitted initially but we sent again via webform.
We booked and did another medicals 16th Jan. Qlife confirmed they had sent our medical results on 21st Jan 2023.
31st Jan 2023 at exactly 8:30pm our love letters landed.
Only God can do this. I promised I will share my timeline to encourage other people waiting.
Just yesterday, I was asking why people are not sharing their timeline to encourage pple because I was down and needed to read from people, but here I am sharing mine.
Please be encouraged. God is working behind the scenes for you.
Woow..this is Great news and so encouraging...I just felt uplifted reading this.
Congratulations to you and thanks for sharing. |

In my opinion....you would have to apply for your baby and then attach your own visa in the application.
Remember you applied alone so I don't think they can issue your baby a visa if he/she didn't apply....you will still have to pay application fees for your baby.
This is my opinion...I'm not an expert on this. |

U can Google "IRCC New portal" and it will direct you there.
Remember it's not the *IRCC secure portal*
But if you check some pages behind...someone posted the link not too long ago |
