12submarine: Keep quiet if you don't have anything to say. Some of you are the reasons Igbos are getting insulted. He should abandon the uncompleted bridge and start another one, is that what you are saying? I detest Buhari’s administration, but this your comment is damn embarrassing. I thought it was argued sometimes back that resumption of work at the 2nd Niger bridge is just a gimmick. Which one is 3rd Niger bridge again you are talking about? If you don't have anything you better keep quiet and stop embarrassing everybody here. Brutal |

zendy: Oduduwa Republic? Waste of time, Yorubas cannot produce an Nnamdi Kanu or Ojukwu in my lifetime to push for such agenda. Oduduwa Republic will never mean more than a mere map. We know the proponents of freedom in this part of Africa and Yorubas aint one of them.
However, I glad that who ever drew this map took great care not to include sny of the Ika-Igbos in it. Yorubas can't produce such failures. |

Climate change plays a part by forcing more herders South due to draught.
Doesn't explain the criminal behavior of murdering every farmer in sight and Buhari's inaction. |

A lot of stupidity in this thread. Akoko people are Akoko people regardless of the state. There was no such thing as Edo or Ondo states as little as 60 years ago not to talk about hundreds of years ago.
A group of people influenced by two ancient empires probably have genetic makeup from both sides. You see the influence in names (Yoruba) and some demonstrative culture (Bini) and this varies from town to town or village to village. Let them have whatever identity of their choosing.
PS: some of the cultural pics look like something picked up in recent years. No ancestors wore all that polyester |

Why are they not contributing much to the national purse? instead they are waiting for oil revenues to be shared. You have to direct that question to the solid minerals ministry. Good question though |

gidgiddy: Lets say you have a water well in your own compound. Out of the goodness of your heart, you allow all your neigbours to benefit from your well by connecting pipes to their homes and beyond. Overtime, you find out the consumotion of your own water by others has become so high that there is no longer enough for you and your family. You go to your neigbours and complain that you want to now control how this water is distributed and shared so as to have enough for your self, but your neigbours ignore you, some even insult you.
How long will it be before you disconnect your neigbours to remind them owns the well? You did not build the water well in the first place nor do you have legal recourse to the land that it's built on. It's just on your ancestral land. Please use your brain. |

tuale4u: olam produce rice in Nigeria. but i dont think they started in Nigeria. They started in Nigeria as Kewalrams History[edit] Since it was established in 1989, Olam has evolved from a single-product, single-country geography, to a multi-product, multi-national, agri-business today, with 62,500 employees, contract, seasonal and temporary workers from 70 different nationalities. In 1989, the Kewalram Chanrai Group established Olam Nigeria Plc to set up a non-oil based export operation out of Nigeria to secure hard currency earnings to meet the foreign exchange requirements of the other Group Companies operating in Nigeria. The success of this operation resulted in Olam establishing an independent export operation and sourcing and exporting other agricultural products. The Group's agri-business was headquartered in London and operated under the name of Chanrai International Limited. The business began with the export of cashews from Nigeria and then expanded into exports of cotton, cocoa and sheanuts from Nigeria. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Olam_International |

Clinton9000: You don't need any one to tell you that Igbos are the true Hebrew in the bible. The bible was the last seal to my believe of this...go to the bible and lookup the names of the children of Gad, the progenitor of Igbos and son of Jacob. His sons are...Eri, Areli, Arodi, Haggi and Ezebon. Does these names look or sound yoruba or Hausa to you? Did you see names like Adeniyi, Olufemi or Abubakar in the bible? Arodi, Eri, Areli, Haggi and Ezebon are authentic, verifiable Igbo names. As I write now there is evidence of Gad presence in Igboland...archeological evidence in AgulEri. Even the name AgulEri, the last three letters come from Eri also in the bible....my people, all these Igbo names are in the bible that we read everyday. That weed must be strong. Where did you buy it? |
