Empiree: Okay, culture. What have you achieved with that in SW?. WHo told you culture can not be maintained where ever you are?. Evenin American there are every culture there and everyone maintains it if they want to. WHy is everything about African so screwed up?. You guys are trying to create ethnic war. Stop being a effing coward on the pretext of religious dogma. I asked this question before. Why is the ruling house only Fulanis? Aren't the Yoruba Muslims qualified to be Emirs? Are you inferior stock? It's unbelievable how you lots think. I guess centuries of subjugation affects the self belief and self governance DNA. You've simply given up hope in your abilities to govern even if islam is used as your yardstick. Are Yorubas inferior Muslims? |

9jakool: Yes, Ilorin might be an oddity, but it doesn't detract from its identity. The emirate culture is built on Islam and Islam is not an oddity in Yorubaland. A different political systems doesn't discredit someone's true identity. So why can't you have an indigenous Yoruba as Emir? Are they inferior Islamic breeds as opposed to Fulanis? Funny slaves |

Nofav0rs: First of all, we have to be Yoruba to have lowest developmental index amongst Yorubas. You see?
Btw, what do you mean development? The brown roof villages/towns in SW? I laugh in yagba Statistics don't lie. Sorry of it makes you uncomfortable. |

Empiree: you that rule yourselves, what have you achieved?. You have bunch of obas who only care about their bellies.
Besides, ilorin people don't see it as Fulani empire over them. I never for once seen it that way. You guys are trying to forment problems to create unrest in the region and turn it to another North.
You have bigger problems to worry about not this crap If you don't see the prejudice and slavery against you lots then change your glasses prescription. Eru Fulani It's not about any oba. It's about your cultural identity which is separate from religious beliefs. Don't pass the mumuness to the next generation. |

Nofav0rs: Bro, some of the Ekiti folks in Kwara (like Eruku) are Yagba not Yoruba And yagba is not Yoruba? LMAO. What have they been feeding you people? Something in your garri? These folks are long lost. No small wonder you have the lowest developmental index amongst Yorubas. Jeez |

EMMAUGOH: Offcourse am scared of the way the country is going.. We might end up travelling out and never have any reason to return back.

Empiree: One of the many things islam came to eradicate is "asabiyah".
Whosoever fights under the banner of the blind, becoming angry for partisanship ('asabiyah i.e tribal-ship), calling towards it, or supporting it and then dies, he dies a death of (one in) the Days of Ignorance (Jahiliyah)." [ Sahih Muslim(6/21)]
Now, you may say my quote here is my belief. Fine, but dont you see you are distracting yourselves from major concern in nigeria which are; poverty, unemployment, bad govt across the board, zero health care system, unstable electricity and the list goes on. And now you want to add more problems. Ilorin is relatively peaceful so now we should start worrying about ethnic nonsense?. Who cares about Hausa-Fulani. And SW, what exactly you achieved there?. Kwara remains majority Yoruba people. So i dont understand what you guys are look for?. You still have IPOB unsolved problems and you wanna add this to it?. By doing this you are making your politicians so so happy bcus it just creates distractions.
Oduduwa republic ko, oduduwa democrat ni. Rubbish
How does Oduduwa state put food on your table?. All SW yorubaland, you are yet to improve on very simple basic needs of the people and you are looking for more trouble?. Kwara is majority Yoruba. So what else you guys looking for?
Oh i guess you want Oba type of thing where they do stupid occult at the time of new Oba installation?. All those crap that go against common sense. Who them help? No wonder the Fulani can rule over you docile lots for centuries. Your mumu button is easy to see. |

Empiree: I am never supporting ogbonis and the likes to rebel ilorin/kwara for the so called Yorubland. Yes, it is Yorubaland but aren't Yoruba majority in kwara state?.
Or they are taking about ruling class like Emir?. Well, I am for Islam and Muslims. If there should ever happen to be revolution in kwara, I will support mobilization of MUSLIMS only not ogboni and other Yoruba cults.
There are too many problems at hand already. Stop compounding problems by causing ethnic differences. Why is it not possible to succeed as one Nigeria?. It is people that make things difficult.
I am not in support of "Oduduwa Republic" Islam na your ancestors religion. Sugomudeen |

EMMAUGOH: @Throwback This is the problem we have down south. We claim intelligence when other southern part are mentioned..
This tread is a typical igbo vs igbo tread, but guess what, throwback and his goons want to show us they are intelligent. Why dont you use that your intelligence to better your folks. The implications is that no yorouba or Hausa discussion tread will see light of the day in this forum ..
Igbos disadvantaged theirselves.... Yes. They are their problem.... Yes.
Then allow them to discuss their problem instead of reiterating the obvious.
Really pissed off what this tread has turned to.
What majority of Nigerians doesn't know is that even though igbos say they need government presence, that doesn't mean they live inside huts or hungry.
In terms of having a concentrated indegenious mass development in Nigeria.. Igbos are number one but we wont because we are making 5 naira with out business accept conditions where we are disadvantaged.
The sum of it is that other tribes in Nigeria somehow is comfortable in this country and sometimes when i think about it, i do wonder if somehow the is actually a mental issue with most tribe in Nigeria..
How can u be comfortable in this country where almost everything are based on religion, political and ethnic sentiment.
Why cant we see there is a cancer in this country reducing almost everyone's potential both the leaders and the followers.. This is almost 50yrs and we are still referring to 1960 as if it was yesterday. Many nations fought thier wars and became better while ours made us terrible. Is that not an handwriting on the wall telling us, we can never be compatible, even when everybody is killed and its just one person from one tribe remaining.
It has gotten to that state where i do question whether a particular tribe in Nigeria is patriotic blind. How can u explain how a country will lose 71 of its citizens in no war situation and if felt as if nothing happened.
This country is making me scary. The country is making you scary? Nna. Odikwa risky English o |
