Izzyagain:U.K visa refusals too are part of your UK immigration history. If she has never been to UK and never got denied a visa to UK then write a letter to them stating that exactly. |
Hello, my wife’s CAS shield was flagged by the school she’s applying to cos they saw on her tb test that she’s pregnant. I want to know, is pregnancy an issue for some uni? And will that make dem deny her the CAS cos they’ve just put her CAS shield on pause for a while now. She has paid £6k deposit and even got a £4k scholarship from the school before this. Are there schools that don’t have issues with pregnancy that she can still quickly apply to? Or schools that don’t check tb test before issuing CAS? Please I need help with this, it’s urgent!!! @duchess and others pls |
Hello, please who has just done tb test at IOM? I booked appointment but can’t remember how much exactly I’m to pay in naira. Tried calling but their number is always busy. Please o, how much for IOM test for adult. |
adesolami36: Thanks for d reply.I av gtb token,dt means I can pay with my gtb master card?Yes you can but you'll have to generate the activation code through your online banking page. There's an option for card activation code, you'll be requested to generate a number from your token before you get the activation code. If you can't do it yourself then go back to your bank for assistance |
adesolami36: Some1 shud pls throw some light on dis issueWhat that means is that if you haven't already been using your Naira master card to pay online then you'll have to go get a token at your bank. The token is needed to generate the activation code for your card to complete online payments. Make enquiries at your bank. |
justwise: Give it a break and build your financial stand and tie to Nigeria, re-organize the salary payment system so as to have documented evidence rather than the cash-in-hand system with no paper evidence. With the current situation you wouldn't have done anything difference. Thanks Justwise, I already made up my mind not to even go to U.K. Anymore for now. I just wanted to share with everyone and be sure I didn't get it wrong anywhere. Anyway, I feel I should mail the ECM and voice my concerns. It wouldn't cost me anything. |
muami: Did you summit a Tax Clearance CertificateThanks, I didn't submit a TCC cos tax is paid together by the employer and my payslips show the tax deductions from my salary. |
justwise: Sorry to hear that, post the refusal letter lets know what went wrongOk, this is the refusal letter. Everyone should pls give their opinion. Thanks. •The previous entry clearance officer raised concerns over your economic circumstances. In order to be able to make a decision on whether or not to grant you entry clearance in this category I have taken into account your stated circumstances in Nigeria, the reasons for your visit, and your proposed travel arrangements. You state that you are employed full time and that you earn 150,200 Naira per month after tax. You have stated that you no further paid jobs or occupations. I am aware that the documents you have presented appear to indicate that you are employed in a family business and I recognise that you have provided a letter of support from your employer, together with pay slips and personal bank statement and I acknowledge that there are cash payments paid in akin to your salary amounts. These however, remain unsupported by any substantiating documents. •Whilst I accept that many people in Nigeria are paid in cash, I am mindful that it is the applicant's responsibility to submit sufficient information as to satisfy the entry clearance officer of their intentions. I note that you have been in the same employment since 2011. It would therefore be reasonable to expect that you would be able to provide further official documents to support your economic circumstances. In their absence. I am not satisfied that the documents you have submitted satisfactorily establish that your economic circumstances are as stated or address the concerns raised by the previous entry clearance officer. For clearification, the reason I was refused the last time was because my salary payments are made in cash payments. I reapplied and explained why it is so in a cover letter. There is however no document that I know of which I can submit to that effect other than the letter from my employer. If anyone here knows pls I'll be glad to hear it. Secondly, this Eco expects me to have documents for properties because I've been employed for 3years? Seriously? Or isn't that what he meant by " It would therefore be reasonable to expect that you would be able to provide further official documents to support your economic circumstances." Isn't that a little unfair? I'm not saying that it isn't possible but it shouldn't be basis for refusal considering how I've shown good enough ties to Nigeria by showing I manage a family business for my aged parents, even had my parent give me the Cert of registration and Govt approval of the business to back up my application. Plus I had copies of my parents international passport to show their age as stated. I just feel the ECO wasn't fair in his decision. |
justwise: [/b]Hi Justwise, thanks for the other time. I reapplied and got a refusal again. It's so dissapointing putting that much effort and getting refused again. I'll post the refusal in my next post so everyone can add their own suggestions. |
kaykay05: I will, thanks a lot for the insights. I'd get back to this thread to share the outcome of my reapplication. I'm hoping for the best.Hello Justwise, thanks for the other time, hope you remember me? I reapplied and got a refusal again. It's so dissapointing putting that much effort and getting refused again. I'll post the refusal in my next post so everyone can add their own suggestions |
justwise: I see the sense in that, but remember to back all that up with a letter from your parents....that they have accepted moving your leave to next month....etcI will, thanks a lot for the insights. I'd get back to this thread to share the outcome of my reapplication. I'm hoping for the best. |
justwise: Will that not look suspicious? Since you have submitted one leave letter already.Well, I'm thinking I'd state it there that because of my visa refusal I applied for my leave to be moved a month ahead so that I can have time to reapply. Pls what do you think? |
justwise: That will not work out then, it will eat up your leave period. What if I can get my leave moved to a month from now? Besides I'm not sure I would even want to go to U.K. By next leave, I have a different country in mind for next year. |
justwise: When did you send in the last one and how long did it take?I sent it on the 4th of July and collected on 25th of july (3weeks) However the crowd at the VFS office wwas crazy on the submission day, don't know why so many people were there at that time, maybe summer period makes for more people going to U.K. |
justwise: Ok good, you can go for it then. But the process of visa application can take up to 3weeks, that could leave me with just two weeks leave time, would it not be denied based on having not much time? |
justwise: Ok i understand the set up, yes you can reapply and explain this set up in detail to the ECO, the salary payment system, your role in the company and the issue rounding your parents age. Getting a letter from your parents to support your application will help alot.My 5weeks leave starts on Friday1st of Aug till 5th of september Tthe whole 5wks leave starts in a couple of days. an |
justwise: Are you solely running the school now or working with your parents?Working with my parents. My dad is the proprietor (owner) and this is printed even on our letterheads. He still gets to sign and approve the important stuffs. I'm the Director Of Administration. I take care of all administrative work. |
justwise: [/b]Ok, so at this point, what do I do? Is it ok to reapply immediately without coming off as desperate? And do I need to back my claims about the cash deposits with any document? For the second reason for denial which is based on not showing I have enough ties to make me come back home, do I state that I manage the business and since my parents are too old to run the sch (they're in their 70's)? What documents concerning the establishments do I need to back that claim with? |
justwise: List the documents you submittedI submitted my letter of appointment(dated 5years ago), leave approval, letter of introduction from my employer(whom is also my father), payslips for six months and my bank statement. For my bro-in-law: an invitation letter, copy of data page, original tenancy agreement and utility bills. However my bank statement has all my monthly salary paid in cash. the reason for this is that the school (employment) is located in a small town in Ogun state and there is only one micro finance bank in that town which the school uses and such banks can not transfer money to regular banks so salary payments are made by cash to staff's gtbank account. |
Hello everyone pls I need good advice, I was refused a U.K. Visiting visa last week. I know I cant appeal cos my sponsor in the U.K. Is my bro-in-law. I submitted my payslips, employment letter and statement of account which has a balance of 850,000naira with a monthly salary of 150,00naira. The reasons for refusal are: 1. ...I note that the payments into your account are all in cash deposits. I am therefore not satisfied these funds are generated from your employer... 2.You have stated that you are single, have no dependents and have declared no savings, properties or income from any other sources. Giving the statements you have made and the documentary evidence you have presented I am not satisfied that your circumstances in Nigeria coupled with your reasons for wishing to travel are such that you have shown... I however did not state that the business I work for (a private school) is a family bussiness which could have shown I have ties back in Nigeria and what do I do about my account statement? My reason to visit U.K. Was simply 'To visit my bro-in-law and family' Should I have said more? Like how it's been 7years I last saw my family e.t.c. At this point what can I do? |
