PoliticsRe: Nigerians Abroad Remitted $20b In 2014, Says Osinbajo by kayo80(m): 10:31am On Aug 26, 2015
Those in the diaspora really help Nigerians back home, and I believe this amount, cos even in my family, there are about three people in America and England that send money home many times yearly.

Ofcos with the opposite sex. Most girls are bisexual anyway, so why would I get offended if she is having fun with another girl? I would just invite the girl over and we would have a Three...
RomanceRe: Am I Obliged To Tell My Landlord That My Girlfriend Is Coming And Wil Sleep Over by kayo80(m): 10:23am On Aug 26, 2015
Well, I don't know. It depends on the type of person your landlord is, and the type of house you live in. I remember the landlord in the compound next to mine was fighting one of his tenants cos the man didn't tell him before he went and bought a car.

Reading the debates between christians and muslims here on nairaland was what first made me to start thinking about God's existence, before then I had never thought about it. Reading the debates between christians and atheist made be to start questioning, not negatively,I started researching to prove that the atheists were wrong but found out that they were mostly right and it is the christians that were actually wrong and were mostly spinning or telling lies for christianity. I left Nigeria in 2012 to Europe and it sealed everything. The Europeans are godless but are better human beings than us in everything.
[quote author=dalaman post=37346331]Nice. Thanks for the reply. I am sure you traveling to Europe really helped with your enlightenment. For me, I was a Christian all my life till 2009, when I decided to read the whole Bible. I read it from Genesis to Revelation, and so many questions were raised in my mind. Researching and trying to answer those questions opened my eyes.

Unfortunately the religious mind doesn't function that way at all. When I was a christian I used to get angry when I read such things. I don't know how to explain it but, you just can't relate to this things as a religious person. You just push them away. The religious mind abhors doubt, when you are driven bu fear you can't relate to anything that questions or encourages doubt. When you are driven by irrational fear(which is what drives most religious minds) you can't reason rationally when it comes to issues of religion. It blocks your mind from reasoning or seeing things that challange your religion no matter how true or real they appear.
You said you were once a Christian...How did you break out of the shackles? I am always curious to know, cos I am an atheists, and the more I try to get my close friends enlightened, the harder it becomes...Like it is totally impossible to make them think logically and rationally. And these guys are highly intelligent... So, I always want to know how someone that was once a Christian could break free of that bondage.

I'm not surprised Celine Dion topped Beyoncé because Celine's been in the music industry way longer than Beyoncé, and she has quite an impressive list of classic #1 hits.
True, but I was just considering the fact that Celine has been off the scene for a while and hasn't had a hit song in more than 5 years now, while Beyonce has been everywhere.

Family3 Reasons Why Atheists Are Better People Than Religious People by kayo80(op): 2:58pm On Aug 25, 2015
As an Atheist, I don't go around telling people I am nonreligious, but when ever people find out, they always start looking at me in a weird manner; like I am an evil person. But, the funny thing is, I believe atheist (based on my interaction with both religious and non religious people) are usually better people than religious people. So, I have decided to give 3 reasons why. Please read with an open mind.

1. Atheist Don't Kill People in the Name of Religious War
Look at all the terrorists killings going on right now, in Nigeria, and the world at large. People are being killed by their fellow human beings on a daily basis, like they are chickens, and it is mostly in the name of religion. You would never hear of any atheist killing people in the name of his beliefs. Even as far back as the centuries after the death of Christ, you had the Holy Crusades, where Christians massacred non-Christians in their thousands, including women and children.

2. An Atheist Knows There Are Consequences For All His Actions
Most atheist are vast in the knowledge of the universal laws that govern the earth- and they know that for every action,, there is an equal and opposite reaction. Whatever you sow you shall reap. They don't have to wait for a pastor to tell them to do good, or promise them heaven, or scare them with hell, before they do good. Atheists know that it is the wise thing to do. Cos, whatever bad you do to another person, will come back to you; it is as simple as that.

But with religious people, they would commit all the sins in the world from Monday to Saturday, even fornicate all night, from Saturday to Sunday, and then wake up on Sunday to go and ask for forgiveness of their sins in church. And when bad things start to happen to them (as a simple result of all the bad they have done), they start to blame the witches in their village or an imaginary enemy.

3. Atheist Are More Self Reliant Than Religious People
Take your time to do a research of all the people that have changed the world in a positive way, whether through technological advancement, or a medical break through, you would find out that a great deal of them were non religious people. That is because they don't wait on 'God' to do any and everything for them. In Nigeria, you can't count the number of churches we have, but yet, we are still so backward, and mostly poverty stricken. This is because of the low self esteem religion puts in the mind of most of it followers.

That's all folks. If you read that with an open mind, you would agree with me on most of what I have written.

Ya...in that case, when you are ready psychologically for marriage, you can pick any of the Ashawo to be your life partner and bear you children....my point..you cant eat your cake and have it.
Why can't I eat my cake and have it? I mean, in this situation...I know I am not ready for commitment, so I go for call girls, so I can focus all my energy on my goals in life. And when I am ready to settle, I would be ready to commit, and so, go into a normal relationship. What is bad in that?
