Cause with oando, you're betting on the person running it to succeed. The whole of 2023, and only one profitable quarter. In Q2 they had an FX gain of 258bn, hence the 140bn profit for the period. Then guess what happened in Q4? Another 377bn in FX gain but this time they lost 70bn for the period. How do you make less with more? Redoil: Lovers of Toyota vehicles who buy from one of its foremost dealer, Briscoe Nigeria Plc can begin to start looking for another company to trade with as we can report authoritatively that the company is on the verge of folding up, due to fraudulent practices currently going on there. Our sources within the company revealed that even though the management of the Company has been trying to conceal this fact but on a daily basis, it’s becoming difficult for them. The company is ‘broke’ & heavily indebted we learnt. The company’s indebtedness is to the tune of N14bn at the moment & has been consistently making losses in the past 4 years. The loss for year 2014 is in the tune of N1.84bn, a situation which will make the shareholders likely revolt this time around. The half year report for this current year is already estimated at a loss of over N1bn. There are insinuations that this is due to bad management, particularly the current Managing Director, Mr Bukola Oluseyi Onajide who since taking over in January 2010 has nosedived the fortunes of company. The smooth-talking Managing Director is enjoying very good relationship with the Chairman of the board of directors & there is not even a single Executive director in the company; this has made it practically impossible for other board members to know the ‘true’ situation of the company. It was also learnt that the daughter of the foremost Toyota Representative in Nigeria (Chief Ade-Ojo) is also on the board of the dying company but she’s also not aware of the underground happenings. It has been alleged that the current Managing Director & General Manager (Finance) have embezzled over N500 million. This is however not new to some people as it was discovered allegedly that the General Manager (Finance) was involved in fraud in his last organization before joining RT Briscoe. The two men our sources disclosed have been siphoning the company’s funds & covering up the books in a smart way. The Chairman was due for retirement since 2013 but is still trying to retain the seat despite the bad situation of the company. The Managing Director lives a very extravagant and flamboyant lifestyle; throwing very lavish parties all on the company’s resources. The current situation has forced the company to commence sacking of workers; it was learn that close to 70 members of staff will be affected by this exercise. The Managing Director according to our sources within the company gives out brand new vehicles to several of his female friends & family members at the expense of the organization and also colluding with the GM (Finance) to siphon large amounts of money. This looting prompted the GM (Finance) to recently delete all the CCTV recordings in his office so as to destroy any evidence that could implicate him. The Managing director we learnt doesn’t have regard for all members of staff as he sees himself as the all-in-all because there is no single Executive Director or Deputy Managing Director. Most of the productive salesmen have been frustrated out of the system. Meanwhile, so many shareholders are preparing for war as the AGM comes up in a few days. Stay tuned for more details on his fraudulent and philandering lifestyle.

emmanuelewumi: 1. Summmary and review of 2023 Financial performance of Presco
Revenue N102 billion Gross profit N65 billion EBITDA N63.2 billion EBIT N59 billion Net operating profit after tax N42 billion Profit after tax N37 billion
Total asset N170 billion Cash N10 billion
Capital employed N134 billion Invested capital N123 billion Equity N57 billion
Return on Capital Employed 44% Return on Invested Capital 34% Return on Equity 57% Gross Profit/Total Asset 38%
Net Operating cash flow N32.6 billion Free Cash flow N20 billion
Cash Flow Return on Investment 24% Cash Return on Invested Capital 16.5% EBIT margin 58% FCF Margin 20% Net margin 32%.
2. Proposed acquisition in Ghana Presco is planning to buy a similar company in Ghana for a total sum of $125 million. The acquisition will increase the production capacity of Presco by 20%. With this we can assume that the business in Ghana is about 20% of the size of Presco when looking at it based on production ability.
If the business in Ghana is valued at $125 million it is logical to value Presco at ($125 million multiplied by 5) That will give us $625 million or N875 billion or N875 per share. Using N1400 per $1.
The business in Ghana made an Operating Profit of GHC 188 million. Using GHC 15 conversion to $1, that will give an operating profit of $12.5 million.
For Presco to value the business in Ghana at $125 million, they probably used a multiple of 10 of the Operating profit.
Presco made an Operating profit of N59 billion or $39 million in 2023. If we use the same multiple of 10 for the operating profit of Presco that will give us a valuation of $390 million or N546 billion using N1400 to $1.
3. The analysis is lagging because I used 2023 figures, the performance for the current year ie 2024 is expected to be good based on Q1 2024 result that was released 2 months ago The growth observed from Q1 2023 and Q1 2024
Total asset increased from N170 billion to N204 billion
Equity increased from N57 billion to N81 billion
Current asset increased from N68 billion to N94 billion
Retained earnings increased from N74 billion to N98 billion
Revenue increased from N28 billion to N42 billion
Operating profit increased from N15 billion to N32 billion
Working capital increased from N33 billion to N46 billion Just wondering if people like @Emmanuelewumi, BullBearMkt, Nosa2, KOD, & ... decide to monetize their expertise, ... Well, who no know person dey call am my friend. ** “If you see someone without a smile today, give ‘em yours,” D. Parton |
