Regarding DS, the 'WHY' question is why were people rushing to the exit with the slightest negative news regarding the company/Merger?

** Most people holding the stock got in at below 20 and are sitting on massive profit so have nothing to loose (simple).

Will it happen again? ...

** My 2 cents

Let's see what happens when it gets to N11.90 then the next line of action will be decided. For now, I am okay with the units though planned to top at 9.50 today but nothing for me.

Thank you.

I may just have to cut my loss.
Bros no vex o, what loss percentage have you incurred (hypothetical) & time frame have you held the stock for; that is making you to begin to think "I may just have to cut my loss" & at what point do you think you will finally say "enough is enough", We move, and hit the sell button and move invested funds to another investment!!

Prof, alarms are going off in my brain. My brain cells are overheating. Dakun!

Not sure I understand your question but the bolded seems to suggest what happens when we have a bull (price skyrockets leading to unrealistic pricing) or bear (price capitulation leading to excessive price decline) scenario?
My Oga, probability is very slim there will be price loss during a bull so looking at bearish market pricing using a 25% +(-) 5% decline from most recent high.

I am also looking at holding time frame & loss as a percentage of invested capital in the equity.

** Sample scenario using 6months time frame
At 12.5% price loss after 3 months, highlight investment, and if situation remains same after the next 3 months or drops to 20% at any point within the next 3 months, the system (could be human) sell.

I reckon it's subjective and only open to individual perception or assessment. How much risk you choose to assign to the asset held and the chance or probability of profiting from a prospective asset.
At what Point of focus do you think the 'generality' of the investing populace will converge?

Thank you for your time.

T & C always applies. Litigation is not as easy as you think. Below was in the RI prospectus.
So from the onset, they had this scenario planned out abi? No problem.

Not much the bank can do. RI was completed and is now undergoing regulatory approvals. What else do you expect or suggest they do?
They should not promise what they are not sure if they can deliver or not.
They are just lucky Nigeria is not a litigatious nation. Their body (abi pocket) for tell them.
A lot is at stake - people's pensions that were invested that needs to at least keep up with inflation amongst so many other scenarios.

Hello everyone,

I am trying to add another layer of variable into a model so need as many diverse opinion as possible.

Assuming you are in a loosing position in a trade, at what point & enabling-factors will you start considering cutting your losses and moving on; also at what point will you finally hit the button?

Possible scenarios looking at considering
- Time frame duration held
- Loss % incurred

You can add inputs to look at too.

Thank you.

Are they not just coming from a concluded RI? Interesting.
I will not touch that bank even @ N0.50 till they credit CSCS with concluded RI they said they will do in January. They are a bunch of very unserious people. What if people borrowed money to take up the offer?

Bro, do not blame anyone that rushed to sell when they saw opportunit to. People are hurting real bad believe me. Ghosts are not the ones that bought Guinea Insurance @ N0.62 amongst so many other similar ones. A lot of people tried to warn newbies but Bull market is sweeter than honey & comes with the spirit of easy money.

DS is not yet done with its trajectory, just give it a little time except they want to artificially keep propping it up till the merger timeframe is released "MY OPINION".

Water must always find its way.

Wait o, abeg has JAIZ Bank completed the RI @ N1 shareholders' were waiting for abi I no come dey understand English?
So the RI turned out to be "Some of our shareholders" and was not opened to all shareholders. It is well. Trust Nigerian CEOs at your own risk.

"Musa signed the agreement on behalf of Jaiz Bank on the closing day of a series of events celebrating the golden jubilee of IsDB.
:
:
We only have a gap of N1.3 billion to meet up with N20 billion capitalisation, and I am sure you can remember that three months ago, we concluded a private placement by some of our shareholders, injecting additional N10.4 billion to meet up with our capitalisation requirement"

The Spirit behind money is really something else.

FCMB - 50kobo dividend proposed. I see FCMB overtaking Fidelity in price even though Fidelity released a lovely 1st Qtr result.

Did you see the result or are you in it and looking for who to dump on? If none of the above, move on, there are better options if you are looking for capital appreciation.

DS never release Q1, u talk say they release and it is bad.

So, d coco be say, no dey add salt and pepper, cos somebody go correct you.
Just read thru all my posts from Pg.7740 onwards. Bros, I no see where I talk say DS result bad o except if eye don dey pain me. I only said, "make we see if e go fall another max today, then we will take it from there" which it did fall.

The next statement I made regarding DS was that Trends do not move in a straight line which you know except you wan dey economical with the truth.
I am always sympathetic when people loose their hard earned money in investment choices that didn't pan out as they planned because I know raising capital is not easy but it still doesn't stop me from saying the hard truth.

I even said that MM will be mopping up the shares while pushing the price down to force people to sell to cut their losses but the patient ones who can wait should wait it out & average down from Circa 30 which it arrived today closing at 38.90.

Abeg, if you see where I talk say DS result bad, show me make I know when to begin go see my eye doctor.

Udo!!!

Read the notes and you will find out that it is still due to foreign exchange losses, about 7 billion naira.

I noticed that companies that avoided reporting the foreign exchange losses in their annual results did so in this first quarter. I mean manufacturing companies. Service companies like NAHCO and some others didn't have this problem.

One exception is MTNN; it reported these losses in both reports.
