Godoverevery: CAN will never talk about this ......but fully interested in politics.
It is a big shame that a religious body like CAN is getting involved in nigeria politics and trying to cause religious tension.
It just common sense Christian who don't want Muslim-Muslim ticket should just vote against it on election day instead of there needless drama.
No wonder my G.O (dr d.k olukoya) never join them association......they will just stain you with there nonsense. Is statutory rape an offense to CAN or state law, Does CAN have the power to give the needed justice ... if you had to choose between CAN & court for justice mumu where will you go It is the statutory duty of CAN to ensure xtains interests are duly represented and to restrict all forms of marginalization on national scale, Someone via decision insinuated over 100m nigeria xtains are incompetence/disposable, and you expect people not to react until 2023 You can't beat a child n still dictate how the child cry . |

If you sense something from his past triggers him and you encourage him to seek therapy but he adamantly refuses, claiming nothing is "wrong" with him.......what could possibly be the next step? Willingness is key, you can't save a partner that is not willing to be saved ... if he is adamant, without minicing words let him know its either he seeks help or as a partner you walk. note: that he threaten OP to leave all the time is enough clue that is what he fears the most |

Mindlog: Assuming what OP posted is exactly what your sister told you about her marriage, please do share how you intend troubleshooting and proferring lasting solutions. 1st step, scrutnize my lil sis to be double sure she is telling the real truth with no exaggerations 2nd step, fix an appointment with her hubby, with no sign of judgment, the purpose is to make him feel he stands a fair hearing 3rd step ... listen to him objectively 4th step, put my intuition into use to discern if my sister resents him or if something from his past triggers him, if it is the latter he needs therapy Altho some people are just mad buh anger issues most times comes from an unhealed scar, the toughest job in anger management is to get patient to unveil their scar, hence why its a job for experts |

ImaIma1: I already gave her my 2 cents.
It is tiring and becoming cliche for guys to assume, blame and jump into conclusions when it is a woman who brings her problems here. Empathy and objectivity flies out the window.
Meanwhile if your own sister comes to you and tells you her husband does the same thing, you won't take it lightly.
I asked if you were married because some single people are good at giving advice for something they are clueless about. They always think they know until they know. LOL ! buh why are women like this, you keep doling the same approach, you are more concerned about nairaland boyz even than Op, so much for women supporting women Don't do that, don't mix empathy with objectivity it only depict fairness means lil or nothing to you. If my lil sister is in Op situation, i am 100% sure, i won't ask her to move out .... i will troubleshoot and profer lasting solutions, if after exhausting all options the man is irrredeemable the ball is in her court to stay or exit, i won't make choice for an adult. Madam do i sound clueless |

ImaIma1: Even if that supposed underlying cause leads to being beaten? For me, beating is a deal breaker.
Men are bias because they don't trust women? Really! Do you think women trust men? Men also have faults that you cannot see because you are one, and one who doesn't realize it.
Or you think men are just straight up with no fault and "spices" too. Men are also known to decorate their story to appeal to their kind.
The problem with this forum is that we always make everything a gender thing. Everything! you need to be objective to get my point, from a man's perspective when there is a problem the logical thing to do to troubleshoot, domestic violence is a defect applicable to M/F. however i think Op situation is not a hopeless situation it just depends on how she goes about it, moreover the man also needs to be engaged, something deep within is making him misbehave, the wife should think of someone that can make him vent out cos i doubt he will open up to the wife The problem with "our conversation" is that you keep casting aspersions base on the forum, its not like you hear me what happens to objective |
Family › Re: I shall not die in Jesus name by kayperry: 9:19pm On Jul 28, 2022 |
ImaIma1: That's why I said "with the information available".
It is no news that guys on this forum are bias when it comes to stories from women. If a man had come with complaints from his wife, most guys would condemn the wife without asking to hear her side.
Just like you have already concluded that she's only trying to get empathy, rather than seeing that she may actually need advice. Really ! maybe men are bias becos we don't trust women won't act like women, spices is a must thats not bias besides how do you intend to concieve " objective" without fairness The man has anger issues no doubt, buh i believe there is an unresolved underline cause that needs to be unraveled or shared by the man, if "solution" is the objective here someone needs to talk deep with the man, probably someone he looks up to. |
Family › Re: I shall not die in Jesus name by kayperry: 8:03pm On Jul 28, 2022 |
ImaIma1: So the husband is perfect? Doesn't she have to put up with his own attitude?
Please let's stop this bias. Some of you must think that a husband should be held high up and is beyond reproach. He too must act responsible. What responsible man comes home at 2am? Did he apologize?
But you didn't see all this. Learn to be objective with the information available. i don't think a one sided story is potent enough to resonate "objectivity, and i am sure if OP had booked a therapy session, the therapist would av appeal to hear both couple out because that is the only way to discern the required truth, women are suckers for empathy, there will be spices & maggi here n there however we get the message " Men are scum " with information available is the situation redeemable or not |

bukatyne: You either have an extremely low standard for a decent human being or you are a wicked person.
Or maybe both.
Read the OP again and tell me if anyone possessing the qualities above can be called 'wonderful'. Qualities of a man and his fouls are two different things, if he is intelligent, hardworking, resourceful, supportive, faithful and a provider .. is that not wonderful. Don't you think we all have our sweet & bad sides, for the bad side violence is just the height of it buh however divorce should be the last option i.e other options must have been tried or exhausted. Marriage is not something you enter & exist anytime, its more complicated because e don pass boyfriend & gurlfriend r/ship |

GeneralPula: When $1 was at 150 or so, it wasn’t as if government was going anything spectacular then. What was helping then was the fact yahoo boys are bringin in USA dollars everyday via the western union, making dollars sufficiently available in every bank. The is the main reason why Naira has been depreciating the moment these yahoo boys started leaving Nigeria..
Bank people knows this..
Go and check. The more USA dollars you have in your country, the more your currency appreciates against the dollar and vice versa..
One of the solution to this is we should increase our local production. Export more and import less. Farming that’s suppose to be helping us largely, people prefers to become doctors or lawyers than a farmer..
The question now is what do we export? We can’t export fake things. It won’ sell. And fake things too plenty for naija.. More like a beer parlor analysis , if you say foreign reserve is the bedrock of any nation's currency i agree buh that yahoo boy tale is crap. Whatever earning yahoo boyz can fetch our country can never be compare to earning from productive & exportation, One of the major reasons our naira keeps falling like evening newspapers tit is because we are not a producing nation we import almost everything and about 90% of foreign income goes back into importation of refined oil and loan servicing, over 50% of naija forex goes into importation of crude oil alone, imagine the effect if we can own a refinery n the stop importation. the more accumulation in the foreign reserve the stronger the naira |

MITCHELL96: He should shut up and mind his business, we're not supporting him because he's popular, we want him because he's the only person (Currently) that can HEAL and CHANGE this nation!
We sane Nigerians are all rooting for Peter Obi to become the next president of this dying country.
He should go and attack Atiku verbally, Atiku that said he'll privatise the health and education sector, and some people don't even know what it means, some illiterates only know how to buy data on their smart phones.
Privatising those sectors means it will now be owned by individuals or a group of people, and this will make the price for the service to skyrocket, since it's private, they can inflate the price anyhow they want to satisfy themselves.
These are people that want to rule this country, people that don't even have the common people in their heart, they just want have power and misuse it.
Atiku hasn't been in Nigeria for years, he only came back because it's election time, is this someone that has you in his heart ?
A good leader suffers with you while he/she provides solutions for the problem(s)
Even after all these revelations, some people still wants to vote these people and want them to rule, when I said most internet users don't take anything good home, people will argue with me.
Till today, I haven't seen or heard where Peter Obi said anything that doesn't make sense prior to the upcoming election, what you're seeing are just enemies misquoting him.
Nigerians, Wake up! It's time to decide for ourselves.
I'm a grassroot footballer, I know how I felt the day I was denied Visa to Netherlands just because I was Nigerian, my money, effort and sweat just wasted. q One man can not change Nigeria of today, stop dreaming Lets be realistic. Yeah ! Peter Obi is making sense because he is taking us back to the class room, his choice of approach are theories most elites can relate with, so its convenent to feel he is making sense Buh using Nigeria as a case study times & record have shown that nigeria economy & Nigerians are allergic to theories & text book rather what you will get is a corresponding adverse effect. Nigeria problems are terresterial/local relative to "Our nature" therefore we need leaders that can propound local measures to curb our diversity & excesses. For instance, when you put two Nigerians with pile (jedi jedi) up for study .. give mr A drugs & mr B herbs at the end of the study you find out mr B is going to response to treatment cos that is what his system understands, Do you know nigeria babies with jaundice response better to local treatment such as unripe pawpaw compared to drugs, we need leaders with local intelligence For Nigeria to be great, we need a independent system powerful that people not the other way |
