David said in Psalm 25: 21, he says" let integrity and uprightness preserve me, for I wait on the". In Psalm 26 v 1, he said" Judge me, o Lord, for I have walked in mine integrity, I have trusted also in the Lord, therefore I will no slide". This is David boasting in his honesty, integrity to God. Can we beat our chest like David and say "Judge me by my integrity, honesty o Lord?".
This is a food for thought for us today. Let us walk in integrity today and make honesty an habit and God will help us in Jesus name. Shalom.

#THERESABALMINGILEAD

TEXT: ISAIAH 1:1-20

This chapter talks about the vision of Prophet Isaiah which he saw concerning the children of Sodom and Gomorrah. How God was bittered against them. God called them a sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, corrupted children.

God says they are wayward and have forsaken their God. They have provoked Him who is Holy, to anger and have gone backward.

Their sins were so grievous that God refused to accept their sacrifices, he refused their offerings and despised all oblations. In vs 13, He said "bring them no more". It was an outright rejection. In Vs 14 , he says " your new moons and your appointed feast my soul hate; they are trouble unto me; I am weary to bear them". May God not be weary of us in Jesus name.

Are you toiling the part of the children of Sodom and Gomorrah? Are you doing abominable things in the presence of your maker? Things that make you stink before him? Are you letting in those little foxes and letting them have dominion over your lives? Do you want God to hide his eyes from you when you spread your hands? (Vs 15). Do not wait till you are in a situation when you pray and God refuses to answer because of your SINFUL NATURE.

The amazing thing about God is that, he's a merciful God. He draws us closer when we realise ourselves and draw closer to him. In vs 16 -17, he says" WASH you, make you CLEAN, put away the EVIL of your doings from before mine eyes, CEASE to do evil. LEARN to do well, seek Justice, take up the cause of the fatherless and plead for the widow( Plead their case)". In other words, God is saying lay down your filthy rags, your old nature and put on the new man that does good, that does the right things, that helps the sick and the oppressed.

After you might have done all these, he said in vs 18a, " come let us reason together", let us commune as friends, let's dine and be happy together, I will be a father unto you and you will be my child. I will no longer detest you. He says " though your sins be as Scarlet, they shall be white as snow; though they be like red crimson, they shall be as wool".

Furthermore, he promised us something great which is a blessing for everyone that does and takes the precept of God. In verse 19, he says" If ye be WILLING and OBEDIENT, ye shall EAT the GOOD of the land." That is, you shall eat in plenty, in abundance. You shall struggle no more. You shall see opportunities and take hold of them. He says in vs 20 that if you refuse to do his biddings " Ye shall be DEVOURED with the SWORD". May we not be DEVOURED and rejected in Jesus name.

Beloved let's make a checklist of our life, let's choose this day whom we shall serve. And when we serve, let's serve with all diligence. May we not be a cast away in Jesus name. Amen. SHALOM.

The Story Behind: God Will Make A Way

The American Pastor, singer, songwriter and producer of Christian worship music, Donald James Don Moen was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on 29 June, 1950. He grew up in Minneapolis and left for Tulsa, Oklahoma, after high school to study at Oral Roberts University; he graduated with a degree in music in the year 1972.
His excellent singing abilities caught the attention of many who encouraged him to join worship groups; he joined Terry Law’s worship team called the Living Sound. He rose to be president while working with Integrity Media. He worked for over twenty years with the media before forming ‘The Don Moen Company’ in December 2007.

The gospel icon has been married since 1973, to his wife Laura Moen. The union is blessed with five children Melissa, James, John, Rachel and Michael Moen. He has blessed us with over 40 albums since the 1980s, with songs packed with power. One of his songs that has reached the four corners of the earth, received many awards from around the globe and touched lives in multiple ways spread across several dimensions ‘God Will Make A Way’ is the focal point in this article. He narrated the inspiration behind the song:

“When I wrote the song ‘God Will Make A Way’, I wrote it for a tragic situation in my family, my wife’s sister and husband where travelling with their family on the way to Colorado to have a Ski vacation, their van was broad sided by an eighteen wheeler. All four of the boys were thrown out of the van and three were seriously injured, but Jeremy the oldest was killed instantly.
When I heard that news, I can’t tell you how helpless I felt, all the words that came to my mouth to say to Susan and Craig that day seemed to fall short of what l really wanted to say. All the scriptures that came to my mind didn’t seem to be the right ones. I had to get on an airplane the next day and I read Isaiah 43: About how God will make a way, a roadway in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. Verse 18-19 says don’t remember the former things, behold I will do something new and it will spring forth, I will make a roadway in the wilderness and rivers in the desert .

As I was sitting on the plane, I asked God to give me something to say to them at the funeral, something that will give them hope in a hopeless situation and that moment, God gave me a simple song which has become one of my most well-known songs

‘God will make a way,
Where there seems to be no way,
He works in ways we cannot see,
He will make a way for me’.

I know that, that one phrase is a phrase God gave me to say to Susan and Craig that day, ‘He works in ways we cannot see’ maybe you need to hear that same phrase too. This song was written in a desperate situation but it is not a song of desperation, it is a song of declaration ‘God Will Make A Way’. He will make a way for you today, no matter what you are going through, you just have to believe that even though your bank account many not look good, the doctors report may not sound good, God is still working in ways you cannot see and He is still able to make a way where there seems to be no way.”

Who would have thought that a simple song according to him would make such impact in the world?
