SyrusdeHansome: Last year we lost one of our family friends because of the Nigerian factor. He was a prostate cancer patient who was receiving treatment in a general hospital in my state. How did it happen? The week he had an appointment with his doctor the state government failed to pay retirees and as a retiree that had about 4 children in the university he had no money for the monthly checkup at the hospital and he couldn't meet up with the appointment. To cut the long story short, he got paid the next week, went to the hospital to see his doc who wasn't on duty that day, met a nurse who told him she could help him do the doc's procedure on him which was done. That same night there was complications. He couldn't urinate and he died by midnight. This is one of the reasons I'm always annoyed when a Nigerian ask his fellow country man why he wants to travel out if he has upto 50 million naira in his account, knowing fully well that many people travel out for different reasons. I've lost many pple who could have easily survived outside Nigeria and yet the leaders who can't even treat common malaria in Nigeria would always tell us that all is well in the country and that we shouldn't complain.
Has Nigeria ever happened to you? If yes, can u narrate ur experience? Whatever you mean by that statement is best understood by you. Your illustration is negative which suggest a lot about your personality. Happy sunday |

God may overlook certain things to bless you on earth, but He will never overlook holiness when it comes to you entering heaven.
Again, God makes holiness achievable if you hunger and thirst after righteousness. But many people are not so positively desperate for righteousness and holiness. Many are comfortable with nominal, worldly and compromising christianity. Matthew 5:6 "Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled"

"Repent"!
Matthew 4:17 (KJV)
From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Not surprising because Jesus Himself said He came to call sinners to repentance. Luke 5:32.

CommentatorPro: Nigeria is a country blessed with talent, resources, and resilience — yet it continues to struggle under the weight of bad leadership, corruption, and poor governance. From unreliable electricity to the rising cost of living, it sometimes feels like every sector is crying out for help.
Now imagine this: you suddenly become the President of Nigeria — but only for one week. You have full control to make key decisions, sign executive orders, and implement reforms. No bureaucracy, no political godfathers — just seven days to make a difference.
What would you fix first?
Would you focus on the economy, to bring down the price of food and fuel? Would you tackle security, ensuring that citizens can travel freely without fear of bandits or kidnappers? Or maybe you’d go straight to education, reviving schools, paying teachers well, and making universities work again?
Some Nigerians say they would start by cutting government salaries and reducing the cost of governance. Others believe the first step should be arresting corrupt politicians and recovering looted funds. A few even argue that constitutional reform is the only real solution to Nigeria’s endless cycle of problems.
Whatever your opinion, one thing is clear — most Nigerians know exactly what they want fixed; they just haven’t had the power to do it.
So, let’s hear from you If you had just one week as Nigeria’s President, with total authority to act, what’s the first thing you’d change and why? I will divide Nigeria into 6 zones then regionise them with power to each region to control it's affairs as it sees fit. Anyone that like to develop let them go ahead while anyone that choose not to can remain backward. Simple. No fight. |

DomPerignon: The revised electoral law stipulates that any candidate for any party primary can not defect to another party on losing the primaries in his or her original party.
This is why Giromgiri and Atiku are stuck in limbo.
PDP is a no go area for both of them as long as Wike still has his tentacles there.
As for LP, Giringori has burnt down every bridge he had there. Atiku already has a firm hold on ADC. That's for sure. He will get the ticket of that party. |

DomPerignon: As per Atiku, they needed to lure him into their party so as not to repeat the vote splitting the three horse race in the last election saw Tinubu wining.
The ADC wants both Atiku and Giringori in their party and on the primaries ballot so as to cage them .
ADC has Amaechi as their candidate who will do one term only and handover to a northerner amongst the cabal.
This is where Giringori came up with his OTP proposal in a lame bid to get the cabal to support him instead of Amaechi buy the cabal only knows and trusts Amaechi and not the marauding charlatan that is Giringori. And you sincerely think anyone can cage atiku except tinubu. That's a wild dream o Bros. Those in ADC apready knows their fate and will gladly queue behind atiku. Aside atiku none of those feather weight can give tinubu a run for his money. Someone will cage atiku? That's a tall dream bro! |

DomPerignon: I said the cabal in Buhari's absentee governmt.
Has it not occurred to you that the ADC was formed when news of Buhari's illness began to spread?
The cabal knew that only Buhari was the reason Tinubu was not going after them .
The cabal knew that Buhari wasn't going to survive and so they formed ADC to challenge Tinubu and to hide under the banner of opposition if Tinubu began his clampdown .
Note that Tinubu has a bone to pick with the cabal as the cabal isolated Tinubu from the Buhari govt very early in that administration and same cabal were against Tinubu emerging as Buhari's replacement.
The same cabal also supported the pliable Amaechi during the APC primaries against Tinubu.
Its a do or die affair for the cabal to oust Tinubu in 2027 because the know Tinubu will come with full vengeance upon them in his second term.
Know this now. Please who are this canal people? I have not seen any one with sufficient political capital in ADC except atiku. Besides ADC is founded by an ibo man since 2005, atku is only choose because he sees ready to trade ibo that will sell the party to him which nwosu has done already. Whether cabal orno cabal no one will take ADC from atiku except the court of law. |

(AP Photo/ Abdel Kareem Hana, File) The following is the text of Hamas’s October 3, 2025, response to US President Donald Trump’s September 29, 2025, “comprehensive plan to end the Gaza conflict”:
In an effort to halt the aggression and war of extermination being waged against our steadfast people in the Gaza Strip, and based on national responsibility and concern for the fundamentals, rights, and supreme interests of our people, the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) has held in-depth consultations within its leadership institutions, extensive consultations with Palestinian forces and factions, and consultations with mediators and friends to reach a responsible position in dealing with US President Donald Trump’s plan.
After a thorough study, the movement made its decision and submitted the following response to the mediating brothers: The Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, appreciates the Arab, Islamic, and international efforts, as well as the efforts of US President Donald Trump, calling for an end to the war on the Gaza Strip, an exchange of prisoners, the immediate entry of aid, the rejection of the occupation of the Gaza Strip, and the displacement of our Palestinian people from it.
In this context, and in order to achieve a cessation of hostilities and a complete withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, the movement announces its agreement to release all Israeli prisoners, both living and dead, according to the exchange formula contained in President Trump’s proposal, provided the field conditions for the exchange are met. In this context, the movement affirms its readiness to immediately enter into negotiations through the mediators to discuss the details of this agreement. The movement also renews its agreement to hand over the administration of the Gaza Strip to a Palestinian body of independents (technocrats), based on Palestinian national consensus and Arab and Islamic support.
The other issues mentioned in President Trump’s proposal regarding the future of the Gaza Strip and the inherent rights of the Palestinian people are linked to a comprehensive national position and based on relevant international laws and resolutions. They are to be discussed within a comprehensive Palestinian national framework. Hamas will be part of it and will contribute to it with full responsibility.

Christianity Etc › Re: Did Pastor Chris Really Raise 50 People From The Dead In A Year??? by Kdon2: 3:10pm On Oct 04, 2025 |
Daejumong: I don’t believe this statement from Pastor Chris Oyakhilome! Even though I believe in miracles, it is NOT possible to raise 50 people from the dead and it won’t be public knowledge. It would be in the news and everywhere and it won’t even be the pastor who would announce it, especially in this age of social media! The mortuaries and the hospitals would write it in their journals and publish it!
As men of God we MUST be careful not to exaggerate the truth, formulate stories or embellish stories in order to raise the faith of the people/make us look super anointed. This is sadly a common practice among many popular and celebrated Pastors worldwide!
When Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead, he didn’t announce it to the world rather it was people who saw it that spread the news until it got to the Chief priest. Such miracles would always cause pandemonium!
John 11 43 When he had said this, Jesus called in a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out!” 44 The dead man came out, his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen, and a cloth around his face. Jesus said to them, “Take off the grave clothes and let him go.” 45 Therefore many of the Jews who had come to visit Mary, and had seen what Jesus did, believed in him. 46 But some of them went to the Pharisees and told them what Jesus had done. 47 Then the chief priests and the Pharisees called a meeting of the Sanhedrin. What are we accomplishing?” they asked. “Here is this man performing many signs. 48 If we let him go on like this, everyone will believe in him, and then the Romans will come and take away both our temple and our nation.”

Politics › Re: A New Dimension To The Nigeria - Bokoharam War by Kdon2: 3:09pm On Oct 04, 2025 |
youngEmelex: Nigeria is at war but the people are living in denial because of media cover-ups. The media is trying so hard to make Nigerians believe that there is relative peace and stability but the reverse is the case. Earlier this year, I wrote an article here on nairaland warning that Nigeria will face serious security challenges in the nearest future. I warned that with the state of Emergency declared in the neighbouring states of Mali and Niger, insurgents will move to a safer ground. They will migrate to a region where there is a more docile government with lesser security architecture and intelligence. BokoHaram as of 2014 was attacking parks, schools and markets but the strategy has changed. They now channel their energy towards military bases and formations in towns and villages. This strategy of attacks on military infrastructure is how Israel and advanced countries wage war on enemy countries. During the Israel-Iran war that lasted for 12 days, Israel targetted Iran's military infrastructure and nuclear sites razing them to dust. Now, you can see that BokoHaram is waging war on Nigeria and they are following international law. They are driven by intelligence and they follow war protocols. A target on military formations other than churches and markets is a pure war situation. Therefore, the Nigerian military should mobilize for a real war situation because this is beyond banditry and kidnapping as potrayed by the media and government officials. Rather than real Nigerians facing the real source of the war which are the fulani we are busy pretending there is no threat from those Invaders. We are underestimating them to our door. This will cost us dearly. All fulani want to do is turn Nigeria to Afghanistan or Iran. I pray Nigerians wake up before it's too late☹️ |

DomPerignon: ADC is an SPV organised specifically by the Buhari cabal to get Amaechi with Malami as VP to Aso Rock.
Atiku can't win the ticket.
Even Giringori knows this and that's why he isn't joining ADC anytime soon because if oga Atiku can't get the ticket , no VP for him. Know that Giringori will never contest in ADC as he knows he can't win . I disagree. There is no buhari anymore to influence choice of candidate in ADC. Besides ADC already showed their hands early with the poster of atiku for president adorning their Secretariat. It's either atiku/ obi or atiku and who ever. It could even be aregbe to change political flow and give the East clear chance in 2035.😆 |

DomPerignon: I recall him telling Wike during the last election campaign period when he visited Rivers to '' leave the Presidential for him'' in exchange of Wike having Rivers.
What do you think the LP gubernatorial candidate will think of Giringori?
He has shown severally that he is a sociopathic narcist who is only out for himself.
He displayed this selfishness as governor when he turned Anambra collective resources as his personal investment fund.
He then dumped APGA and ran to PDP.
Wike that the mob is castigating today floated PDP on his own for 8ys and was the most vocal and fearless critic of the Buhari movement.
Giringori will later appear in lat 2022 demanding for PDP ticket as if he even raised a penny to keep the party afloat.
When the PDP refused to zone it to the SE he ran to LP and bribed their candidate to step down for him.
At no time did he even bother to hold joint campaigns with other LP candidates outside the SE.
All the campaign funds they raised and his obidient cronies refused to mobilise LP members so much so that over 70,000 PUs in the north did not have LP Polling agents.
Now seeing that there is deep dissatisfaction among LP members from across the nation outside his SE, and knowing there won't be a free ticket waiting for him, he decided with his Umuahi cabal to hijack the party leadership through an illegal NWC to oust Abure so as to have a party chairman that will give him automatic free ticket. But ever since the court ruled in favour of Abure , he has now decided to do all he can to destroy the LP by endorsing other party candidates.
Now imagine such a character as President. Won't he be putting g his own selfish inordinate interest above the country?
God forbid bad thing. God forbid obi become our president. Nigeria will be doomed with a man like that |

DomPerignon: He just endorsed all ADC candidates in the upcoming local government elections in the FCT.
LP is fielding candidates as well but Giringori refused to back any of their candidates.
So is it the same delegates in LP across all wards that will vote for him in the LP primaries ?
And why has he not defected to the ADC that he is now endorsing ? He endorsed all ADC candidate in the last recent local government elections for several States.
I don't understand Giringori at all.
Why is he still claiming to be in LP ?
Why can't he just defect to ADC? He is already in ADC as vice president to atiku. |
