Kaa4:Okay here is the summary! No true believer should wait until rapture day to get ready for the Lord’s second coming or to live a life of holiness. We are called to live ready every single day as though it were our last day on earth or the day of rapture by daily seeking holiness, walking in forgiveness and not hatred, trusting in God’s promises rather than our own strength, and knowing that God is enough rather than looking for shortcuts. We must choose to live in love, not in selfishness, hate, or envy, while also spreading the good news of the gospel by telling others about Jesus and His salvation. And if you have not yet given your life to Jesus, please do so before it’s too late. September 23 or not, Jesus is coming back; it is inevitable and closer than we imagine. |
Everywhere you turn lately on social media whispers the conversations; “The rapture is happening this September 23rd or 24th.”! The question for me is, what if something else happens before this day, what if death comes knocking! May untimely death not be our portion in Jesus name. James 4:14 says, “You do not know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.” On the flipside, what if the rapture really was on this date? What if it was some days before or even after? These are the questions that have been running through my mind. So, I feel while speculation catches our attention, what should matter most is the READINES, whether, it's today, tomorrow, or next! I believe we should all long for Christ’s return at all times. The problem is when dates distract us from daily faithfulness. Fixating on September 23rd or 24th might create anxiety or urgency for a moment. Imagine if the trumpet sounded on September 22nd, a day before the speculated date or even today. Would you be ready, or would you be thinking you had “one more day” to get right with God? Or what if nothing happens until days, months or years later? Would you lose focus and go back to living carelessly? So, I believe more than marking these dates, we should mark our hearts with Readiness! And this Readiness is not about fear, it’s not about endlessly watching the sky with panic but about faithfulness! It’s about living every day as though it's the last day you’ll meet your Savior. It should mean: - Seeking holiness, not compromise. - Walking in forgiveness, not bitterness. Trusting God’s promises, not your own strength. -Knowing that God is enough, ever faithful and not looking for a shortcut rather than waiting on Him. - Living in love, not selfishness, hate or envy. Plus spreading the good news of the gospel (telling others about Jesus and His salvation). The Bible says in Luke 12:35–37, “Be dressed ready for service and keep your lamps burning, like servants waiting for their master to return… It will be good for those servants whose master finds them watching when he comes.” That’s the posture of Readiness, more than looking forward to a specific date instead of living daily in obedience, expectation, and faith. As believers who belong to Christ, the trending news of rapture in few days shouldn’t be a message of dread; but rather a message of hope. It’s the reminder that this world isn’t all there is. That no matter the chaos in nations, the pain in bodies, or the struggles in families, there is a glorious future secured in Christ. The apostle Paul wrote in 1 Thessalonians 4:16–18, “For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout… and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words.” Did you catch that? "Comfort one another." Not frighten one another with speculation but encourage each other with hope. So, I think the Real Question is: Are We Ready? Whether the rapture is September 23rd, 24th, or many days later from now or even before, the question is the same: "Are We ready?" as we know it's inevitable! Because Readiness isn’t about having the right date, it’s about having the right Savior. Not religion. It’s about a living relationship with Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who loves you, died for you, and rose again so that you can live with Him forever. Romans 10:9 says, *“If you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” Don’t wait until September 23rd or 24th. Don’t wait for a sign in the sky. Don’t wait until you “feel ready.” Tomorrow is not promised. The time to decide is now if you're not yet a true believer. Please pray this from your heart: "Lord Jesus, I believe You are the Son of God. I believe You died for me and rose again. I confess my sins and surrender my life to You. Please forgive me, come into my heart, and be my Lord and Savior. Help me to live ready for Your coming every day. Amen." If you said that prayer, congratulations; you’ve made the greatest decision of your life. You can walk in peace instead of panic, in hope instead of fear, in joy instead of uncertainty. You can live ready, because with Jesus, you are secure no matter what day the rapture is or no matter what happens today! Next Steps: 1. Join a Bible-believing local church near you to grow your faith. 2. Feed your spirit daily with God’s Word by reading your Bible and meditate always You can also watch inspiring teachings and messages that will help you grow daily on "OlorunFemi Foundation (God Loves Me Foundation)" WhatsApp channel and step into a new chapter. I came across the post below and I thought to share it with the good people of Nairaland because I can testify to the fact that my life changed when I realized that I had exhausted my strength and wisdom so had no choice than to surrender to God and learn to do things His way. Indeed doing things God's way cannot be overemphasized. I discovered putting Him first, letting Him lead/guide me and obeying His commands were a system of advantage that brought great benefits and positive result in my life as I reflected on how I moved from struggling and borrowing to pay N45,000/year three to four times for a single room in a flat to paying N600,000 once for a flat. Below is the post and I hope it blesses and inspires someone "The Good Land Today's Scripture Deuteronomy 8:7, NIV “For the LORD your God is bringing you into a good land—a land with brooks, streams, and deep springs gushing out into the valleys and hills.” Today's Word God has a place prepared for you just like He prepared a place for His people in Scripture. Notice that in this place God has prepared, there is no shortage of resources, no shortage of favor, no shortage of health, no shortage of creativity, of friendships, of joy and peace. In the good land, you will lack no good thing. He wants to lead you into a good land that’s flowing with increase, flowing with good breaks, flowing with opportunities. He wants you to live in a place where you not only have enough for yourself, but you’re running over with blessings for others. If you’re not in this good land, don’t settle there. The key is, in order to get God’s results, we have to do things God’s way. Our obedience is what opens the door to His blessings. We have to do our part and humble ourselves before Him and keep pressing forward with an attitude of faith and expectancy. Today, put Him first, follow His commands, and let Him lead you into the good land. Prayer for Today “ Father, thank You for Your goodness and faithfulness in my life and for the good land that You have prepared for me. I humble myself before You and desire to be obedient in every area of my life. I want to follow You as You lead me into the land of more than enough in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen." |
