the odd is against him. He won't even come out second. Atiku will surely get ADC just like Tinubu getting APC. Stop dreaming. Obi knows even in a free and fair primaries devoid of dollar, Atiku will still trash him. The primaries will be the easiest one for Atiku since contesting. He has been meeting with critical stakeholders in the north but obi prefer to be paying eye service to state to donate money and using it for political gain. Those who don't politics are just over hyping ADC. Atiku's pdp faction are the ones that has joined ADC and pdp still remains. Few frings APC joined them. In 2027, pdp will just endorsed Tinubu for president and that is game over. Atiku with the presidential ticket and obi going back to labour or contesting on another platform will get the least votes. If he decides to deputize Atiku then he is finished politically. No pdp governor is ready to join ADC and that speak volumes cos they know it is Atiku arrangement and he will definitely pick the ticket

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has reinvigorated his awareness to the people of the state of his membership in the ruling Peoples Democratic Party ahead of the 2026 governorship election.

There has been speculation that the governor was moving to the opposition All Progressives Congress after meeting with President Bola Tinubu.

Also, the recent defection of two Osun State senators from the PDP to the APC has heightened the rumoured defection of the governor, as the movement of the senators was described as an advance party for Adeleke.

However, sources have revealed that the governor’s negotiation with top APC politicians to actualise his defection has failed to yield desired results.

It was gathered that some top APC officials, leading the negotiations, have hit a brick wall as the Osun APC group is hellbent on not allowing the governor to join the party.

A chieftain of APC and former Osun State Deputy Governor, Iyiola Omisore, had said the party had rejected the governor’s bid to take membership of APC.

Speaking at the flag-off of the second phase of the dualisation of Osogbo -Ikirun-Kwara boundary road on Monday, Adeleke told residents and party supporters that he remains in the party.

Dismissing rumour over his defection move, Adeleke said, “I remain fully in PDP.”

Adeleke will go down in history as the first governor denied joining opposition in a state. Aregbesola supported him and today they are not in talking time and he has since joined ADC. Adeleke is the real OTP if he remains in pdp. Where is Davido who keep bragging before about is uncle second is socrasant. Money is not everything in politics.

His brother, Deji and the elder brother that died, Isiaka were ACN big stakeholders back in the days. Infact, Isiaka was going to contest for Governor under ACN cuz he already won the party primaries but death occur. If not for Deji, I doubt they would have allowed Adeleke to meet Tinubu at all!

His only saving grace now is Tinubu but I don’t even know how Tinubu wants to balance Osun equation. It’s very dicey!

the way some of you lie effortlessly is just alarming. The late isaika adeleke was a serving senator thou a formidable governorship hopeful. There were still more than a year before party primaries before he died. Stop decieving people.

Adeleke will then take his rightful place as leader of the APC in Osun State. He has performed better in office as Governor than Oyetola. Adeleke has by way of infrastructural projects touched the lives of the people than Oyetola did.

Are you from osun or is it because of hatred and bitterness as usual. If he has done so well, why is he begging to join APC. It should be the reverse. He is just an average governor like the fake messaih they wanted to force on Nigerians. He will be the first governor since 1999 to be begging to join opposition party, state wise.

Three Major Presidential candidate gunning for it at last!

Obidients who are mostly igbos are just too emotional. Politics don't resolve around that. Atiku will definitely be the ADC candidate. Obi has now realize that and that is why he keep saying, he is still a member of labour party. Datti identifying with Abure who has been recognized as the authentic chairman, is a calculated move. They have endorsed him for the presidential candidate but he will end up stepping down for obi and run as his vice again. He is clamouring for reconciliation so that it will be easy for obi to come back.

He knows his northerners can't give obi the ADC ticket but obidients who are political neophytes will always think otherwise. Very soon, they will start to insult him cos they don't like truth.
