Politics / President Mohammadu Buhari Is Using Made In Nigeria Drug-lai Mohammed by Keenysbojan(m): 4:52pm On May 20, 2017 |
The Minister Of Information, Lai Mohammed, has revealed that President Muhammadu Buhari, is a leader by example, who has started mandating Ministries, Departments and Agencies, MDAs, to patronise locally made products. Speaking at a National Media Launch, on Thursday, in Abuja, Lai Mohammed said the Buhari- led government was not paying lip service to the issue of Made- in-Nigeria products, even though he is in faraway London, for medical follow-up. He said: “The Federal Government is not just paying lip service to this buy Made-in- Nigeria. We have taken concrete steps to actualize it. “It is true that the Federal Executive Council at one of its meetings, resolved that the Bureau of Public Procurement Act must be amended, in a manner that will give more emphasis and advantage to Made-in-Nigeria products. “However, we have also realized that less than 30 percent of government spending, ever gets to the level of the Bureau for Public Procurement, which means that we must start a ‘root and branch’ reform. “This campaign must go down to the level of Permanent Secretaries and Ministerial approvals, so that we can actually be able to encourage Nigerians, because as long as we do not encourage the buying of Made-in-Nigeria products, what we are going to do is that, we are going to continue exporting jobs to other countries and importing unemployment.” The Minister further noted, that the Federal Government was taking advantage of all the digital platforms on the internet to connect with the youths, and convince them to take ownership of the buy Made-in- Nigeria Campaign, in order to secure their future. “The Federal Government is determined to ensure that we move at least 20 steps up the rank of world global standard of doing business; and in the last couple of months, we have achieved some milestone. “We have for instance, been able to achieve 31 major reforms across 8 major indicators in the area of ‘Ease of Doing Business’, starting from movement of passengers and goods, to the time it takes you to register a company”, he said. www. www.channelsnewsng.com cc.lalasticlala |

Education / Jamb: I Couldn't Attend To All My Subject I Scored 185 by Keenysbojan(m): 10:30pm On May 17, 2017 |
i was amongst the first set of students that sat for jamb on the 13th of may. A lot of things happened at my centre but i don't want to talk about it now. We log in and the time started counting at 120 minutes but i and almost all the candidate couldn't start exam and the time was running out. At last the problem was rectified and i and some other started at 90mins, i had to pay attention to physics, chemistry and english thinking i would go back to biology later. But unfortunately the time runs out so fast that i couldn't attend to my biology at all, even, i had to pick at random while attending to chemistry when i noticed that i have 2minutes left. Now my score is 185 and i want to study WATER RESOURCES MANAGEMENT AND AGROMETEROROLOGY at FUNAAB. And ENVIRONMENTAL BIOLOGY AND FISHERIES at AAUA AKUNGBA. Did Anyone know the cutoff marks at funaab? |
Sports / I Want To Win Ballon D'or Eden Hazard by Keenysbojan(m): 7:31am On May 15, 2017 |
Chelsea playmaker, Eden Hazard, has admitted that after Chelsea’s expected Premier League title triumph, he will have one eye on the Ballon d’Or. Barcelona’s Lionel Messi and Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo have won the prize between themselves for the last nine years. But Hazard believes it can be won by a player in England. Ahead of Chelsea’s clash with West Brom on Friday night, where three points will crown them Premier League champions, Hazard says winning it is on his mind. “I hope to win the Ballon d’Or one day,” Hazard told Sky Sports News. “It’s in my mind. If I don’t, it won’t be a problem. I try to make a good career – the best I can – but I think some other players deserve to win it also. “When Ronaldo and Messi retire, maybe it will be another couple of players like Neymar, Paulo Dybala or Antoine Griezmann, who knows? We will see. It’s not something I think too much about. “Could I win it? If I play next season, we win the Champions League and I win the World Cup with Belgium, why not? “In the last 10 years, the Ballon d’Or winners play in Spain, but it’s not automatic. If a player is better in England, he will win it.”
