We invested in agbalaka bond backed up by one SW state.

They paid first 3 coupon and when the gov died, next gov ignored us for another 2 years only for Afrinvest to buy us out with only our capital and interest of 2 years gone.

Good news, I got my capital.

So sorry. One of the risks in investment. Who would have thought that a bond backed by govt. can fail.

This is one of the reasons there is high level of unemployment in the country. If this man had bought the van, he would have succeeded in taken out, at least 2 people (driver and conductor) out of unemployment but because of dishonest workers, he has aborted the laudable mission. You sha cannot try this nonsense in Abuja estates and streets. But the trend is starting to gain notoriety in Calabar estates, especially Federal housing. Very anyhow behaviour in the name of security measures.

I hope Oyo State govt will adopt this policy too. There is a gate in Lane 4 at Oluyole Are in Ibadan which is permanently locked without security men denying tenants easy access to their homes. Tenants have to undertake Isrealite rigmarole journey to reach their property. Atleast if you want to put a gate on a street then you should equally get security men to mount the gate. Very annoying 😒

That was how my prepaid meter was stolen o. I went to AEDC to report and was asked to obtain police report. My tenant went to police station and she was asked to pay 2k for form, after paying the money for form, she was asked to bring 10k. She kuku abandon the form and left angrily. Na wa for Nigeria o.

My tenant just complained of similar problem. I asked IBEDC official what the problem could be and his answer was perplexing. He said there are some meters that allows the user to accumulate debits even when the token is exhausted unlike others that there will not be light when the token is exhausted. You know some tenants, even when they buy token and it gets finished, as long as there is light they will not bother to load again. He advised that a token of 5k be loaded to check if the debits already incurred will be deducted from the accumulated debts. I am still waiting for the tenants to buy the token.
