I'll say it unapologetically.

GCam will not make you a superstar photographer. GCam will not make up for your flaws. GCam doesn't guarantee excellent shots.

Most of the pics you see are down to proper editing and photographic skills. Not GCam. Yes some people get lucky shots but that's that.

Lots of these people have unrealistic expectations for GCam. So much so that when they finally get it, they believe that an app will make them produce pics that of expert quality.

This Dunning-Kruger's syndrome is very endemic in a lot of us.

Nobody wants to learn or practice. They believe that GCam is a magic formula. Disappointment loading sha.

most of these iPhone people wey dey post superb quality pictures no dey practice or anything,and dem pictures quality dey dey alright gan ...So outrightly calling people's expectations silly is you not understanding where they are coming from
I know people that post firee pictures and don't know jack about photography except to click..If anyone is installing GCAM expecting to see similar results based on how everyone raves about it, how is that silly?

I use dark mode and my screenshots come out fine. Might be your dark mode settings. Below is mine

Turns out this was the culprit..I had both settings turned on...Thanks a lot..

Oh now I understand your "poor screenshot quality" statement. What me I have noticed with dark mode and screenshots, is that your current level of brightness affects your screenshots. So the lower your screen brightness the darker your screenshots will look...
Below is an example first screenshot lower screen brightness.. and second photo a higher brightness level notice the difference??

Now I have to choose between using dark mode or getting clear screenshots at least till an update comes

For someone that was using Mi9t before I find the Redmi note 10 pro very underwhelming and below par. It was a very bad choice for me and if not for the circumstances by which I purchased the phone I'd have sold it off ASAP. To make matters worse the phone itself has bugs everywhere so disappointing. This is one phone I'm sure I'll not be using for long.

if performance is ur major want in a phone , then it should be the X3 pro..This however comes at the cost of form factor,sleekiness, Amoled Screen, Camera.I personally would go for the RN10 pro which is what I am using now..True the SD 700 series can't be compared to d 800 series in d X3 pro,but at the cost of d screen,form factor and Camera,I feel like it is a good compromise

How to manually update..

Go to Settings > About phone > System update.

If tapping the 3-dot button shows the “Choose update package” option, click on that and choose the downloaded ROM from your internal storage or SD card. In case you don’t find the “Choose update package” option from the 3-dot menu, tap on the MIUI 11/12 logo inside the “System update” page several times. A prompt will then show that additional updater settings are now available. Now you can tap on Choose update package and select the MIUI 11/12 update file

That’s it. The system will start decrypting the file and install it automatically for you. Wait for it to finish the process, which may take 10-30 mins

Data should be on during the decryption process
