Politics / Re: Copy Of The Petition Against The Deputy Senate President by kenechi2015: 4:38pm On Jul 06, 2015
We can't continue like this for ever, we must collectively demand for a referendum in Biafran region now. There is nothing wrong in pursuing our freedom, freedom from being oppressed, marginalization, inequality, persecution etc. The Igbos should forge a means to peacefully and consistently start presenting their case locally and internationally, by conducting peaceful demonstration in major cities especially the up coming scheduled meeting between Buhari and Obama. Freedom can never come by keeping silent. The Ohanaezendigbo, Igbo leaders of thought, all our Governors, all our political elites, all freedom movement in Biafran region should join together peacefully to initiate official demand for a referendum in Biafran region. We have to find a communication channel to reach out all Igbo organizations worldwide to join in the peaceful freedom crusade to present our case. There is no hope or feature in sham project Nigeria. The road to freedom seems far but a journey of one thousand kilometre start with a step.
Politics / Re: Saraki Foils Move To Nullify Ekweremadu's Election As Deputy Senate President.. by kenechi2015: 5:42pm On Jun 24, 2015
I think impeachment or resignation will definitely deepen the division already rooted in every aspect of life in the so called sham project Nigeria. I feel the Igbo’s should not be distracted by the current event, although, we need our people to be part of governance but personally those positions whether senate president or deputy is not really our problem, it will not impact much on our future as a progressive people. Nigeria as a nation has no structure or foundation and all positive efforts to redirect and reinvigorate Nigeria has been frustrated by those benefiting from the current structural mess since independent
I believe the right thing for the Igbo’s to do at this time is to galvanize efforts locally and internationally in exposing the evils Nigerian state has been tormenting on them by creating awareness locally and international demanding for the implementation of just concluded national conference or demanding a referendum for the people of Biafra region to determine their destiny. We have to engage in this project with peaceful approach, mounting demonstration locally and internationally to gather support to free our people from this entrenchment.
We have to utilize the opportunity presented by our people scattering all over the world to reach out to them and agree on consistent peaceful demonstration every three months to kick start this new face of struggle for freedom, equality and justice for all. This initiative will put Nigerian state locally and internationally in news headline which will eventually open up discussion locally and internationally on our demand. We can’t afford to continue to die in silence any more.

Politics / Re: Buhari To Merge EFCC, ICPC; 42 Ministries Reduced To 19-vanguard by kenechi2015: 7:31pm On Jun 21, 2015
Mr Buhari is a complete clueless and incompetent person. It is a welcome development when leaders trim down ministries or government agencies for effective performance with visionary intentions. In this instance I believe that is not the case here. He is a complete visionless human being and lacks capacity for governance. This man is only pursing the Northern agenda of “over centralization” which we know have crippled virtually every sector in this nation since independent.
The very reason for setting up those ministries at the first place is to allow more cohesive administration, separation of duties, decentralization of bigger unit for easy management and more robust transparency as the case in a progressive nation around the world. The old system he is trying to apply now has failed us in 70s, 80s, and 90s. Please can someone inform this visionless leader that we are now in 21s century. When you merge bigger entities together, it automatically becomes unmanageable. That is while it makes sense when you set up smaller unit as it stand now for easy coordination, development, auditable and transparency.
Look at United Kingdom, the government of Cameron after the Scottish referendum recently set up a judicial committee empowered to assist government on modalities to decentralize their government by giving more powers to the federating units such as: England, Scotland and Wales.
Remember, we tried to merge everything since 70s based on Northern ideology and agenda but with no visible achievement. Look at Aviation, Agriculture etc today for instance and see how well we have done in this sector for the last four years.
Mr Buhari is trying to take Nigeria back to the old tested and non-performing process which his predecessor including his time as military dictatorship tried but woefully failed for over forty years in power. The problem we have is over centralization of every single arm of government which is the northern agenda. That is exactly the same problem that brought us to where we are today. The British merged Nigeria together to insure that it will be perpetually unmanageable.
After Mr Buhari won the presidential election on 28 March this year, instead of concentrating and engaging in wider consultation to constitute his cabinet, this man vanished to United Kingdom to obtain neo- colonization advice from his slave masters and the result today is the current ideology and hopeless vision.
What we need as people is restructuring Nigeria by implementation of national conference if we really need to remain united and progressive. We should revisit history of nations formally as we are today such as Yugoslavia, Ethiopia etc to learn lessons from their disintegration after many years of internal resistance for positive change to allow every section of their society to determine their destiny to some extent.
Democracy is about government of the people, is bout empowering people, is about decentralisation of power to allow every segment of the society to grow potentially, is about giving back power to the people, allowing people to participate, is about creating a coherent atmosphere.
